The Boeing Company is currently seeking Software Architects to support our Phantom Works Software Engineering team located in Berkeley, MO or Mesa, AZ. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

This role will be part of the Phantom Works Open Architecture Systems Integrated Software (OASIS) Solutions team. This position is responsible for defining and developing the software architecture for real-time software air and/or space systems in an Agile software development environment. Integration across other teams of software and hardware components will be required. You will be working with some of the best engineers at Boeing in an inclusive team environment. Position Responsibilities:

• Develop, own and maintain the software architecture with focus on interface clarity, stability, and versioning to minimize integration risk, with a focus on production type software that is easily maintainable.
• Partner with appropriate stakeholders to inform system definition and oversee translation of system-level requirements into software requirements and models that meet customer, operational and performance requirements and have clear traceability to design, code and test artifacts.
• Manage supplier/subcontractor software deliverables to ensure they meet team processes and integration requirements.
• Lead the software engineering team's agile delivery: facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews/retrospectives, and remove impediments to flow.
• Serve as the Agile/Delivery lead for software—own backlog prioritization with product/system owners, define sprint goals, and ensure timely delivery of integration-ready increments.
• Define, document, and enforce software integration contracts (ICDs or equivalent living artifacts), data models, and message definitions in coordination with Integration & Test and Systems leads.
• Ensure software is designed for testability: require unit, component, integration, SIL/HIL test artifacts with code deliveries, include observability hooks, and ensure failures are diagnosable.
• Lead DevSecOps and CI/CD practices for the team: ensure pipelines support repeatable builds, automated testing, artifact traceability, and consistent deployments across dev, integration, and test environments.
• Collaborate with Integration & Test to align delivery cadence to integration increments and controlled configuration baselines.
• Drive verification & validation execution for software components: support development of test strategies, analyze test results, and triage defects with the team.
• Establish and track delivery metrics (velocity, cycle time, quality metrics, technical debt) and use them to improve predictability and quality.
• Coach and mentor engineers on agile practices, test automation, CI/CD, code quality, and observability.
• Contribute to risk and issue management that affects software delivery and integration readiness; escalate when necessary to protect integration milestones.
• Document integration results, test findings, and provide inputs for design reviews and readiness assessments.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline or 22 years equivalent related experience
• Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance, or clearance active within past 24 months (U.S. Citizenship required)
• 5+ years of experience in leading efforts in analyzing and translating requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
• Experience as an Agile Systems or Software Development Team Lead
• 5+ years of experience with the DevSecOps lifecycle
• 5+ years of experience of DevOps experience (Git, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools)
• 5+ years of experience with configuration management and collaboration tools such as (or similar to) Git, JIRA, Collaborator, Beyond Compare, and VersionOne

The Boeing Company and Government Vehicle Health Management Systems (GVHMS) Team is currently looking for an Experienced Systems Engineer - Health Management (Product Owner) to join their team in Hazelwood, MO. This role will primarily support a Proprietary program as well as other platforms in the GVHMS portfolio as required.

This team develops, fields and supports aircraft support systems for the F/A-18, E/A-18, F-15, T7 and MQ-25 aircraft platforms. The system acquires and manages aircraft health and usage data, performs health and usage assessment, updates aircraft configuration and recommends maintenance actions. Senior Automation & Controls Engineer - Food & Beverage Description:

• Responsible for compliance with company and project site safety policies
• Design responsibility for all Automation and Controls scope on the project
• Leads a team of Automation and Controls Engineers, Specialists, and Designers in the execution of design
• Interfaces with a multi-faceted project team internally consisting of project manager, electrical, controls, estimating, procurement, construction, and other engineering disciplines
• Responsible for leading and developing software design deliverables including PLC and HMI programming design deliverables as well as Batch, MES, servers and virtualization
• Responsible for commissioning and startup of those design deliverables
• Lead and prepare controls design deliverables, including instrument/device list, I/O list, controls narratives, control panel and controls hardware design, device location plan drawings and installation details
• Lead the specification, design, and procurement activities for control panel and equipment vendors, manage vendor progression, and lead the Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs)
• Lead and prepare electrical design deliverables including 480VAC and below equipment and motor power design, installation plan drawings, and conductor schedules
• Determine process instrument measurements protocols, such as temperature, pressure, flow, level, analyzers, and control valves. Utilize knowledge of various technologies for selecting the appropriate controls application
• Experienced in reviewing P&IDs and working with process engineers to define and show proper controls scope of the project
• Develop and manage verification of design, calculations, project studies and report preparation
• Interfaces directly with offsite design office and coordinates and tracks execution of controls deliverables to that office
• Responsible for leading and performing quality reviews of project design submittals and coordinating those reviews within the department
• Responsible for applying knowledge of commonly used automation and controls engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the engineering services industry
• Interfaces directly with construction personnel in development of contracts and execution of work
• Develops project estimates at each project phase through various software such as Proposal works, Integrated Architecture Builder (IAB), SIL Solver, Bluebeam, Excel, and Visio
• Supports project manager in the development and tracking of automation and controls project budgets and expected progress
• Works with clients and vendors directly in developing design
• Builds effective relationships with existing clients, customers and contractors and develop new business opportunities
• Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction goals and expectations are met
• Has a list of clients that frequently request them for projects or assistance
• Provides leadership, technical direction and development to Automation and Controls team members
• Assists in the day-to-day allocation of resources to their projects
• Coordinate with field personnel to resolve design related installation issues, calculations, field inspections and testing of controls systems
• Responsible for leading the technical execution and team during onsite start-up and commissioning activities
• Responsible for developing and submitting discipline change notices as needed to the project management team
• Fully understands and can execute the EPC project approach
• This position will require making trips to job sites to survey, support installations, and lead startups (travel about 30%)
• Work with our business development team to identify and develop key project and customer pursuits
• Frequently attends and hosts client events
• Develops business strategies for future projects
• Understands business needs and profitability factors
• Reviews and develops engineering hour estimates and proposals for all phases of the project
• Supports interviewing and hiring process for new team members
• Coordinates workload with Automation and Controls Department Manager
• Complies with all company policies and standards

The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design & Analysis Engineer to become part of Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) Aeronautical Systems Integration and Test (ASIT) team in Berkeley, MO or Hazelwood, MO.

You will enable the BT&E organization to continue to advance its technologies in support of our Phantom Works and Fixed-Wing programs. The team is responsible for developing integration test assets, real-time software test environments, subsystem/system testing, and evaluating system performance in simulation lab environment. Simulation and modeling are utilized to assist in requirements development, software and hardware development, and equipment verification and validation.

BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including an Associate or Experienced level Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer.

Position Responsibilities Include:

• Develop electrical schematics and designs for cabling, test hardware, and/or test stations
• Select components for hardware designs and support the procurement and fabrication of hardware designs
• Integrate hardware systems and/or software together in a test setting
• Operate complex test stations, electronic test equipment, and test software
• Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
• Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 1+ years of experience testing and troubleshooting electronics and electrical systems
• Experience interpreting technical requirements to create designs and/or documents

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Level 3: 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1+ years of experience conducting component, sub-system, system or system-of-systems tests
• 1+ years analyzing engineering designs to define testing requirements
• Experience preparing test plans, schedules and documentation
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and/or real-time operating systems
• Experience with software programming and creating scripts for automated testing
• Experience with Flight Controls or Vehicle Management Systems
