Position Purpose:
At Johnson Memorial Hospital the Wound Care Center located in Enfield, CT has been in operation since 2012 and conveniently located at our Enfield campus facilities. We provide each patient with an individual care plan backed by evidence-based clinical pathways that have been developed and refined through 20 years of proven care for over 4 million wounds.
What you will do
Evaluate patient wounds including surgical wounds, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, and skin tears
Perform wound dressings and debridement using sterile techniques.
Educate patients and families on wound care practices and infection prevention.
Required:
Graduation from an accredited nursing school
Valid RN License in Connecticut
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing
The ideal candidate will have two years of Medical Surgical or Wound Care experience in an inpatient care setting.
BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

What you will do:
Supports referrals from providers in the ambulatory setting seeking biopsychosocial and behavioral health services for their patients.

As a Registered Nurse at MercyOne, you will provide and direct safe, effective, and culturally competent care for patients with acute medical and surgical conditions. Through evidence-based practice, utilizes critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate outcome-based care. As a Pediatric RN at MercyOne, you will provide evidence-based, outcome-focused care to pediatric patients in a variety of settings. Using critical thinking, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care, while supervising and coordinating the nursing team. You will collaborate with pediatricians, families, and other team members to ensure clear communication and optimal outcomes for each patient. By conducting thorough assessments, identifying patient needs, and developing goal-oriented care plans, you will guide both the child and family through their healthcare journey. Ongoing evaluation and adjustment of care plans will ensure the best possible outcomes for every pediatric patient.
Schedule:
Nights 7 p - 7 a
24 hours per week
Every third weekend rotation
Education:
Associate degree required, BSN preferred. No prior experience required. Current Iowa RN license, BLS, Mandatory Reporter. PALS
