SANY'S Syracuse Academy of Science Middle School is excited to announce the immediate opening of a Night Cleaner (PT).
Main responsibilities and tasks:
1. To be responsible for cleaning certain parts of the school as allocated by the Operations Manager and following Health & Safety guidelines.
2. The safe use of chemicals and cleaning materials as instructed by the Operations Manager following Health and Safety guidelines and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
3. To operate cleaning machinery in cleaning soft and hard surfaces, eg. vacuum cleaners and polishers following Health & Safety guidelines.
4. To maintain all School standards of hygiene and safety of all Cleaning equipment and Cleaning Closets in your charge.
5. To report any hazards, defects and any relevant factors of breakdowns of equipment that may be detrimental to safe working practices, immediately to the Operations Manager.
6. Duties to include the following:
Vacuum cleaning hard and soft floors
Spot cleaning of spillages
Wiping furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass
Emptying and cleaning bins
Cleaning toilets including sanitary fittings and surrounds
Mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces
Wiping and polishing and straightening furniture
Replenishing janitorial supplies in toilets, etc.
Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work
Such other duties as may be allocated from time to time
Notes: During periods when the school is closed, routine cleaning is undertaken throughout the school. This may include stripping and sealing floors, high-level dusting, wall washing, etc. Other duties as requested.

We are seeking a Mental Health Provider to join our Grandview Middle School team.
Starting Salary: $ 50,000- $55,000 (Salary)
Bonus: $2500 ($1000 Sign-on bonus will be paid on your first paycheck and the $1500 Retention bonus will be paid after 12 months of service.)
This role will support students, families, and district personnel in the Grandview School District's two middle schools to address personal, emotional and social problems that interfere with school adjustment and promote students' academic success following a school social worker model. This position is a full-time twelve (12) month position per year. Nine (9) months of the year services will be provided in the district's two middle schools. During the three (3) months over the summer services will be extended for identified students and families, providing individual and/or family support in school, home and/or community
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Provide consultation to building administrators and teacher support teams on issues related to mental health
- Provide assessment of and direct therapeutic services to students at the middle school level, and/or their families, who are experiencing social and emotional problems at school
- Provide traditional school social work support to students and/or their families at the middle school level, as needed, to provide options and referrals to ensure community available resource acquisition
- Provide direct mental health services to at-risk students at the middle school level
- Participate in agency and district in-service training as requested and appropriate
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Our ideal candidate will have experience working with this population and the following:
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in social work, marriage and family therapy, or as a licensed professional counselor.
- Familiar with implications of trauma, attachment and diversity.
- 1-2 years of experience working with this population.
- At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening.
- A valid driver's license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
PREFERRED
- Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or professional counselor.
- Provisionally Licensed Professional (e.g. LMSW, PLPC, LMFT).
- 3-5 years of experience working with this population.

Primary Purpose:

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university required

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional Strategies
1. Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of staff to develop IEP through the ARD Committee process for each student assigned.
2. Implement an instructional, therapeutic, or skill development program for assigned students and show written evidence of preparation as required.
3. Conduct assessment of student learning styles. Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.
4. Present subject matter effectively and according to guidelines established by IEP. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media including technology to meet the needs and capabilities of each student assigned
5. Work cooperatively with classroom teachers to modify regular curricula as needed and assist special education students in regular classes with assignments.
6. Participate in ARD Committee meetings on a regular basis.
7. Participate in selection of books, equipment, and other instructional media.
Student Growth and Development
8. Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
9. Provide or supervise personal care, medical care, and feeding of students as stated in IEP.
10. Assume responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned. Sponsor outside activities approved by campus principal.
11. Consult district and outside resource people regarding education, social, medical, and personal needs of students.
Classroom Management and Organization
12. Create classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
13. Manage student behavior and administer discipline including intervening in crisis situations and physically restraining students as necessary according to IEP.
14. Consult with classroom teachers regarding management of student behavior according to IEP.
15. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
16. Plan and assign the work of teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s) and oversee completion.

Key Responsibilities:
● Gallery Operations: Packing and shipping fine art in a careful and safe manner. Rotating and re-hanging gallery displays under the guidance of the gallery manager.
