Forward Air is seeking capable and career-oriented individuals to work in our fast-paced shipping/dock operation. Our Cargo Handlers are responsible for loading and unloading freight on our trailers in a safe and timely manner. Frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of freight is required. All necessary training and materials for this position are provided.
Core Responsibilities & Duties:
- Responsible for the loading/unloading of 53 ft. commercial trailers and the operation of scanners
- Use handheld scanners to efficiently track and maneuver freight through our distribution network
- Accurately label boxes and prepare freight for shipment
- Safely load and unload trailers by utilizing equipment such as hand trucks/pallets jack and forklifts
- Must be able to obtain certification and safely operate forklift and other machinery as required
- Verify documentation and condition of freight to assure quality standards are achieved
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to ninety (90) pounds
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Transportation Coordinator to support daily transportation and logistics operations. Qualifications
- 1 ~ 4 years of experience in transportation coordination, logistics operations, freight forwarding, or carrier management (preferred).

The Logistics Coordinator will be involved in both inbound and outbound logistics in a supporting role of the team that is in place today. The role will be involved with inbound freight bookings and related costs, including tracking tariff expenses related to international inbound shipments.
Outbound logistics involved both domestic and international shipping based on carrier rates and customer carrier preferences. A knowledge of typical freight terms and contracts is preferred.
Monthly spend analysis is necessary for expense reporting to leadership. This requires assimilation of data from multiple sources and synthesizing the data so that the output to leadership is concise, yet informative.
Responsibilities
- Work with department leadership to track inbound freight spending related to ocean, air, drayage, and duty/tariff cost
- Review inbound freight invoices for accuracy – invoice reviews will include emails, invoice files, and the COUPA purchasing system
- Develop inbound freight reporting
- Schedule outbound freight pickups and/or obtain freight rates while working with customer service team members and distribution shipping team members
- Perform Freight company invoice audits
- Carrier performance reporting
- Attend logistics planning meetings with supply chain partners
- Analyze carrier rates and transit times to select the best shipping method
- Carrier relations and escalations when necessary
Experience, Skills, & Ability Requirements
- College Degree preferred with a supply chain focus
- 1-3 years of experience working in logistics, in leu of a bachelor’s degree
- Basic M.S. Excel skills and the ability to adapt to new systems
- Preferred candidates will have experience with the ACE Portal and with CTPAT Requirements
- Preferred experience with Transportation Management System (TMS) logic

A leading global maritime transportation organization is seeking a Senior Research Analyst & Derivatives Trader to support commercial strategy and risk management initiatives within its tanker fleet operations.
This position combines advanced freight market research and analytics with active derivatives trading execution, supporting freight, fuel, and commodity risk management strategies. The role plays an important part in translating market intelligence into actionable hedging and trading strategies that support fleet optimization and earnings stability.
- Conduct detailed research and analysis on tanker freight markets, global oil and refined product flows, bunker markets, and macroeconomic drivers affecting maritime transportation.
- Develop forward-looking market views and scenario analysis to support commercial strategy and fleet deployment decisions.
- Maintain analytical models and market databases tracking freight rates, time-charter equivalents (TCE), fuel exposure, and volatility trends.
- Execute and manage freight derivatives (FFAs), fuel hedges, and related commodity derivatives in line with internal risk management frameworks.
- Monitor trading positions, P&L, margin requirements, and counterparty exposure while ensuring accurate trade capture and reporting.
- Collaborate with commercial, chartering, and asset management teams to align trading strategies with fleet operations and market positioning.
- Produce research reports and market briefings for senior commercial leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Maritime Studies, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in shipping markets, freight research, commodity trading, or financial market analysis.
- Strong knowledge of tanker markets and derivatives instruments including FFAs, swaps, and options.
- Advanced analytical skills with experience using Excel and data analytics tools such as Python, VBA, or Power BI.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex market analysis into actionable insights.
