The Department of Women’s Health at The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School is recruiting a General OBGYN to join our team as an Assistant, Associate or full Professor. We seek individuals with excellent clinical skills, a passion for education, and potential for scholarly contributions.
The Division of General OBGYN offers the full scope of obstetrics and gynecology services. The position is inclusive of both inpatient obstetrics and gynecology services and outpatient professional practice. Outpatient effort is a combination of community based clinics and independent private practice.
Essential Functions :
· Participate in the design, implementation and iteration of a value-based care in the area of obstetrics and gynecology
· Participate in the development of cross-continuum, multidisciplinary care pathways for priority areas based on best-available clinical evidence, including referral guidelines for primary care providers and management guidelines for post-acute providers
· Participation in relevant registries and patient-reported outcomes into clinical workflows for the purposes of measuring clinical quality
· Participation in the creation of care guidelines and best practices for obstetrics and gynecology where national guidelines do not currently exist.
· Developing partnerships with referring physicians, hospitals, and post-acute providers in Austin and Central Texas
· Training and mentoring medical students, residents and fellows on new models of care and clinical practice.
· Contribute to investigation and discover in the area of General OBGYN
Qualifications
· Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
· Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas (or the ability to obtain prior to appointment).
· Current Board certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or eligible for certification by having passed the Qualifying Examination (in certain extenuating circumstances, this requirement might be waived).
· Eligible for appointment as an Assistant, Associate or full Professor rank at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin.
The Maternal Child Health Fellowship is designed to provide Family Medicine physicians with added skills in the management of obstetrical patients and newborns.
The curriculum includes surgical obstetrical training, complete prenatal, antenatal, intra-partum, and postpartum care.
It also includes training in the assessment of newborns, and the initial management of unstable newborns that may need increased monitoring, treatment, and assistance from NICU. Fellows will serve as junior faculty members of the family medicine residency programs, with opportunities to precept and conduct inpatient round with the residents and medical students.
Training takes place in the Banner University Medical Center in downtown Phoenix, Arizona, with some added experiences in Payson, Arizona.
Fellows will focus on managing laboring patients, performing c-sections and tubal ligations. The training takes place at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix in partnership with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the associated residency program. Fellows work under the direct supervision of obstetrics (OB) attendings on a high-volume labor and delivery unit. Opportunities to also provide Family Medicine OB attending coverage and see/deliver continuity OB patients. Additional experiences include community outreach work with the Wesley Community Health Center population, including mobile OB care outreach services.
Fellows will focus on taking part in both Family Medicine and OB/GYN clinics, performing many procedures, including c-sections, colposcopy and LEEP, D&C, and neonatal resuscitation and stabilization.

The Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin and Dell Children’s Medical Center (DCMC) is seeking a full-time pediatric cardiologist with additional fellowship training in advanced cardiac imaging to support our rapidly growing team within the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease (TCPCHD). The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care, leadership, and innovation alongside our team of cardiologists and advanced practice providers. Although patient care is our primary focus, education and research are also encouraged and supported with access to dedicated research professionals including a statistician, research manager, and research coordinators. Our practice is located in central Austin, providing inpatient and outpatient support for all of central Texas and beyond.
The position encompasses responsibilities in patient care, program development and growth, team building, safety, quality and access for imaging services. About the Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist Position
The Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin and Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas (DCMCCT) are seeking experienced pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists to join the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease.
Candidates will possess experience in caring for children with complex congenital and acquired heart disease and adults with congenital heart disease. Primary responsibilities will include oversight and provision of direct care to patients prior to, during, and after cardiac surgery. Other responsibilities include developing and implementing care protocols, overseeing the QI registries pertinent to Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia and to oversee education, quality assurance and ongoing performance improvement initiatives. Candidates will also participate in coordinated outreach efforts for the Center.
A successful candidate will have an appointment within the Department of Cardiovasular & Thoracic Surgery at Dell Medical School, and regular participation in educational activities with medical students and residents will be expected. Opportunities for collaboration with medical and adjunct specialties will be encouraged to allow for the pursuit of innovative program development and clinical research initiatives.
Candidates will be board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in Anesthesia and Pediatric Anesthesia with additional formal training in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia.
