Job Purpose:

Seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to join the Technology team in New York. This individual will be responsible for both remote and in person support for all Employees. Duties include documenting, triaging, investigating, and resolving issues reported to the Service Desk. The Desktop Support Specialist will work closely with other teams within the technology department to understand the impact and root cause of issues. The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, particularly when under pressure.  Technical proficiency, excellent problem-solving skills, professionalism, and solid communication skills are a must. The support specialist will also need to be comfortable working in a fast -paced environment with a demanding user base and should be passionate about delivering continuous improvement across our technology platform.   

Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Serve as the first point of contact for customers needing technical assistance.   
•    Must work East Coast Market hours 
•    Manage trouble calls via our ticketing system, phone, remote, and desk side visits to ensure courteous, timely, and effective resolution of end user issues  
•    Troubleshoot hardware, Windows 10, Windows 11 and application issues 
•    Install and upgrade software, setup hardware and configure systems and applications such as MS Office, One Drive, Zoom, softphones, turrets, printers, scanners, bio metric, data encryption, VPNWIFI configuration, and firmware updates for deskside equipment such as Cisco phones  
•    Install and manage Spyware/Malware tools  
•    Install and support Market Data Feeds, Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, ICE, Fidessa, Redi+, Fidessa and Global Relay  
•    Provide first level network support and troubleshooting for both wireless and wired configurations   
•    A basic understanding of Active Directory at the Organization Unit level   
•    Troubleshoot Cisco Phone systems / Video conference  
 

Requirements & Qualifications:

   Minimum 2-4 years of general IT Support with extensive customer-facing experience, would prefer the person to have trading desk support. 
•    Experience with incident management/ticketing system like ServiceNow 
•    Proficiency in current protocols, operating systems and standards including Windows 10, Windows 11, Microsoft/Office 365 
•    Experience with System Center Configuration Manager/Endpoint Manager 
•    Experience with patch management and application deployment 
•    Expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and supporting desktops, laptops, applications, hard phones and WIFI devices  
•    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under pressure 
•    Experience providing ongoing support to C-suite executives 
•    Experience working in a similar role at a brokerage firm, private equity, hedge fund, asset management firm, or investment bank preferred 
•    High school degree required; college degree strongly preferred 
•    Must be willing to get MS900 certification

Compensation: 

  • BTIG offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Salary range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, years of applicable experience, skills, qualifications, licensure and certifications, and other business and organization needs.
  • The current estimated base salary range for this role is $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year. Please note that certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus or overtime.

Job Description

THE POSITION:

As a Global Support Specialist l, you will be using your technical and customer service skills to deliver technical support services. We'll rely on you to keep staffers and our business running smoothly. You will be the first point of contact for our service requesters and the face of IT. You'll be using your multi-tasking expertise to provide superior customer service support for desktop, laptop and mobile device issues. You will be relied upon to provide level one issue resolution, service call creation and issue classification.

The IT Service Desk Technician provides basic technical assistance and support to internal end users as well as augments the IT Service Desk Team by performing repetitive tasks and functions, such as imagining hardware, swapping devices, and counting IT hardware inventory.


Responsibilities:

  • Be the face of IT to corporate employees in the respective office location.
  • Ensure that the physical IT technology in the office is operational (e.g. AV rooms, wifi, badge readers, cameras, etc).
  • Oversee the suite of collaboration tooling in use and ensure end users have great experiences using the tools provided.
  • Work to improve the procurement and asset management practices for IT hardware and software.
  • Be responsible for the physical inventory of computer assets, and ensure the local equipment is tracked efficiently and securely.
  • Work with Finance and IT leadership to manage budgets and costs for IT spend.
  • Work with the broader IT team to provide training, documentation, and learning opportunities to peers and IT staff on support processes and techniques.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of IT end user support experience in a Mac focused environment (80% Mac/20% Windows)
  • Prior experience providing Desktop Support at Tier 2 levels as well as being in an active member of an on-call support rotation.
  • Experience using desktop imagining and MDM tools, such as Intune, SmartImager, Imperious, and SmartDeploy.
  • Thorough knowledge of PC hardware, PDA devices, desktop software, Windows 10 and 11, O365, anti-virus, internet browsers, and network connectivity.

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $100.00/hr.

– $95.00/hr.): Title: Communication Lead Duration: 12 Months (Contract) Location: Charlotte, NC (Remote) Job Description Role Responsibilities: · Lead the program-wide communications strategy across the multiple project workstreams.

· Develop and maintain a communications roadmap aligned with program scope, schedule, and dependencies.

· Establish program standards for messaging, templates, tone, and approval workflows that follow the communication guidelines.

· Ensure compliance with PMLC, TDLC, and risk management routines in all communications.

· Oversee Service Integrator execution of communication deliverables; review and approve content before release.

· Define audience segmentation and stakeholder mapping for impacted business and functional areas.

· Engage with business/functional leaders and impacted individuals through listening sessions, office hours, and feedback forums.

· Create role-based communications and job aids explaining process changes and impacts.

· Coordinate readiness surveys and pulse checks; analyze results and feed insights into risk mitigation plans.

· Craft executive and leadership messaging for steering committees and program updates.

· Publish recurring updates (newsletters, FAQs, release notes, cutover communications) across approved channels.

· Plan and host town halls, webinars, and Q&A sessions to drive engagement and adoption.

· Integrate communications with change management and training plans for timely readiness messaging.

· Develop and execute cutover communication plans, including blackout windows and “Day 1” guides.

· Monitor communication risks and issues, escalate as needed, and implement mitigation strategies.

· Track and report communication KPIs (reach, engagement, sentiment) to program leadership.

· Prepare executive dashboards and briefing packs summarizing communication health and stakeholder readiness.

· Collaborate with Program Managers, Project Managers, Business Leads, Training Lead, and the Service Integrator to ensure messaging supports benefits realization and risk mitigation.

· Conduct impact assessments based on design sessions to evaluate and develop the communication road map.

· Implement the communication roadmap developed in partnership with the Service Integrator.

Must Have Skills/Prior Experiences: · Major financial institution (Category 1 or 2 bank) transformative program experience, preferably ERP or Finance Transformation.

· Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and OneStream.

· Proven ability to lead program-wide communications strategy for complex, multi-workstream initiatives.

· Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship building, including senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

· Ability to translate technical and process changes into clear, business-friendly messaging for diverse audiences.

· Experienced in developing and executing communications governance frameworks, including templates and approval workflows.

· Proven experience in managing vendors or service integrators for communications delivery.

· Strong facilitation and presentation skills for town halls, webinars, and executive briefings.

· Enhanced planning and organizational skills, including communications calendar management and dependency alignment.

· Ability to translate conversations with process owners and stakeholders into effective communication plans and messaging frameworks.

Plus/Nice to Have Skills/Prior Experiences: · Background in Accounting and Finance as a stakeholder or communications role with experience ensuring GAAP compliance, regulatory reporting, and profitability.

· Experience planning and executing readiness activities, including client and teammate communications for large-scale transformations.

· Prior experience supporting system and user acceptance testing communications and readiness planning.

· Exposure to AI and automation strategy communications within enterprise programs.

· Experience with data strategy communications, including governance and analytics messaging.

· Familiarity with BTP, FRDM, Hyperion, and BPC.

· Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Change Management.
