Our client, a top cancer hospital in Manhattan, NYC is seeking a Temp Telephone Operator.

Position starts early November 2025 through December 31st .

Shifts is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday; and every holiday.

This position will start out on onsite and after the candidate has become well-acclimated/demonstrates independence in the position, the position will then be moved to hybrid.

Responsibilities: Operates Attendant, Page, and Answering Service consoles.

Performs job-related clerical duties.

Telephone Operations: Operate Amcom PC operator workstation to receive, direct, and place internal and external calls according to policy.

Initiate page calls on the computer system, radio long range, and aural page systems.

Performance Expectations: Provide quality telephone operator coverage utilizing all the features of the AMCOM Call Center application.

Provide page support in a timely and accurate manner.

Page System Support: Operate radio page system according to FCC regulations.

Program Zetron paging system changes as necessary.

Assist in maintaining record of local calls and air call paging.

Performance Expectations: Provide quality customer service for page system users.

Assist with Zetron testing, pager configuration/troubleshooting, and database updating, as needed.

Emergency Support: Perform all duties for medical and surgical emergencies in conformity with emergency policies and procedures.

Respond to all emergency calls such as: Medical Emergency, Fire (manually count bells), Bomb Threats, and other disasters.

Follow procedures as documented in departmental procedures and follow up on all calls.

Document all emergencies for reporting to the Emergency Preparedness Committee.

Performance Expectations: Provide emergency response and notification services following documented notification procedures, including following escalation processes as required.

Follow all required documentation and notification instructions.

On Call Schedule Maintenance: Receive on call schedules from departments and enter into the computerized Amcom system for use by evening, night, and weekend staff.

This information will also be transferred to the website to be used by all employees.

Performance Expectations: Provide transcription service for on call schedules in a timely and accurate manner.

Answering Service: Receive information from Doctors Answering Service and enter into the computerized Amcom System for use by evening, night, and weekend staff.

Administrative and Clerical Support: Prepare telephone toll and message unit charge tickets for each call placed for department individuals.

Change batteries on page units as necessary.

Performance Expectations: Assist with financial management, inventory management, message delivery, and related ancillary clerical or operational tasks as needed.

Problem Management: Receive, record, and forward all trouble calls for off-hours trouble reporting.

Performance Expectations: Provide support, following documented processes, for all telecommunication-related and possibly miscellaneous trouble calls that are received.

Purpose



The IT Engineer is responsible for the design, reliability, and performance of the organization’s core infrastructure, with a primary focus on Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM), Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure, Windows Server operating systems, and DNS services. Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications


  • Proven experience as an IT Infrastructure/Operations Engineer or similar role with hands-on responsibility for core infrastructure.
  • Strong experience administering Infoblox DDI solutions (DNS, DHCP, IPAM), including grid management, high availability, and role-based access.
  • Solid experience with Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure (e.g., AOS, Prism, AHV or other hypervisors on Nutanix), including cluster operations and troubleshooting.
  • In-depth experience with Windows Server operating systems (2016/2019/2022 or later), including installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning.
  • Strong knowledge of DNS concepts and operations (zone types, record types, forwarding, split-brain DNS, reverse lookup zones, conditional forwarders, etc.).
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, load balancers) as they relate to DNS, DHCP, and virtualized infrastructure.
  • Experience with scripting/automation (Ansible and Powershell).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools for server and infrastructure health (e.g., OEM tools or APM/monitoring platforms).
  • Troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze logs, traces, and metrics to identify root cause.
  • Experience documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.

What You'll Do Here

  • Package and ship according to local, State, Federal, and international laws and guidelines as set forth by the International Air Transport Association (lATA).
  • Ensure that relevant permits and licenses are up to date for Imports and Exports of various Biological and Chemical materials. Including, but not limited to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), UFWS (United States Fish and Wildlife Service), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and similar regulatory agencies worldwide.

Assisting the Department Chair

  • Draft, edit, format, and proof communications, documents, reports, presentations, and other technical writing using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dropbox, Outlook, Google Workspace, and website editing software. The Operator, β€œOn the Road”, position which requires extended travel including several months at a time without the possibility to go home and do make every effort to get our teams home whenever possible at a reasonable interval. Β 

Operators are considered to be a very important position to hold as he is responsible for the safe operation on rail and on road as well as the preventive, actual and post maintenance or repairs of the RFD vehicle. Β Operators work very closely and as a Team with the Chief Operator both responsible to minimize downtime and deliver the RFD service according to schedule.Β 

Operators represents the company image as much as any other Team members. We expect the team to act professionally and care for the image when servicing customers.

Operator is also responsible for any identified safety events or obstacles at all time along with the Chief Operator. Operators attitude, behavior and communication skills must be to the highest standard to create an environment of trust and respect.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operator reports directly to the Field Manager. In his absence, will report directly to other Field Manager in place or Manager of UT RFD Services as a last resort. The Operator will follow Chief Operator guidance while in operation.
  • Operator will assist Chief Operator in marking the rail defects according to set standards;
  • Will remain well versed with a professional attitude towards colleagues, customers and general public reflecting a positive image for the company;
  • Shall ensure that all railroad and highway safety as well as operating procedures are maintained and applied to the best of his capacity;
  • Shall be accountable, professional, drive safety and quality as the number one priority;
  • Shall be open to changes in the workplace and apply directives according to set standards established;
  • Adhere and execute instructions in reference books and customer playbooks;
  • Shall partner with Chief Operator to maintain a high standard of maintenance, including cleanliness and 5S on trucks as much interior as exterior;
  • Produce all necessary paperwork including but not limited to, elog reports, maintenance reports, trip reports, fuel reports, etc.
  • Shall perform Pre and Post-trip maintenance every working day, to include carriage, hy-rail and truck. Β Regularly grease, lube, tighten bolts, replace worn parts under the supervision and directives of the Chief Operator;
  • Will ensure validity of any IFTA Sticker registration and insurance and reports to Field manager as directed,
  • Is the overall responsible of the vehicle and its maintenance;
  • Ensures Logbooks, DOT papers including Timesheets are maintained;
  • Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations including hours of serviced regulation.
  • Will coach, train, protect and assist new employees, Operators, in the wanted work environment established;
  • Maintain controlled expenses as low as possible;
  • Complete weekly expense reports, timesheets, inventory and general truck condition (repairs needed current and preventive);
  • Operator understand that truck is to be parked at same lodging location as the Chief Operator every night unless otherwise specified.

What You Will Do

  • Receive job assignments, piece quantity, and special instructions from the supervisor.

  • Read standard operating procedures and operating sheets.

  • Clean, wipe, and sand parts as necessary.

  • Set torque wrenches and assemble brakes and their components.

  • Test brakes, rework brakes with leaks, and replace lee plugs as needed.

  • Stamp information on tags or pads and notify the supervisor of stock needs or machine problems.

  • Record transactions and quality data; report machine or process issues to the supervisor.

  • Check parts against the pick list and set up riveters as required.

  • Torque all applications as required.

  • Retrieve parts from the warehouse and store/retrieve brake components, maintaining current inventory records.

  • Prepare brakes and brake components for shipment, including packaging, counting, weighing, labeling, and completing paperwork.

  • Move materials between workstations and cells using hand trucks, hoists, or robot assistance.

  • Set aside discrepant parts.

  • Clean and maintain work areas, machines, auxiliary equipment, and common areas to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment.

  • Check and maintain operating levels of fluids and required machine materials.

  • Mask and plug parts as needed and touch up paint as required.

  • Attend training classes and cell meetings, and perform miscellaneous operations as assigned in support of Brake Assembly.
