Position Summary:

Responsible for assuring that applicable patient standards of care, practice/performance are delivered within the Heart Center. Develops implements and updates policies and procedures for the Heart Center as required. Educates staff as appropriate. Assures that the Heart Center is compliant with regulatory standards of care. Functions as a liaison between the patient and medical staff. Demonstrates clinical expertise and assessment in the management of cardiac patients. Actively contributes to the mission and success of the Heart Valve Center through various activities. Assists with the Heart Failure Clinic patient management. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department. Other certification as may be required by facility, specialty or department.

Other Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility. Note An RN graduate is a nurse who has completed a course of study at a school of nursing and is eligible for the NCLEX. • You will rotate to other ambulatory surgery center facilities
• Assemble necessary supplies and positioning aids for scheduling your procedures according to your physician’s preference card

• Confirm that all persons in your room are appropriately shielded before activating x-ray

Qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of accredited school of radiology required

Education Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. BSN required.

Experience Minimum of one-year full time or three years part time experience in acute care specialty nursing. One to three years supervisory experience preferred.

Technical Skills Must be proficient in physical assessment of the cardiovascular patient and fluent in cardiovascular anatomy and physiology. Must be comfortable with 12 lead EKG interpretation and cardiac arrhythmias. Knowledgeable and experienced in stress testing is preferred.

License/Certification Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS certification. ACLS, PALS, NRP and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire).

Other Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
