Requirements:

In this position, you will need:

Required Qualifications

- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Must have the ability to utilize a computer to ensure the quality of the product.
- Ability to lift 10-15 pounds continuously, ability to lift to 50 pounds occasionally, stand for long hours, use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement, receive and follow instructions, and use vision to identify defects.

Quad is seeking a Flexo Press Operator for our Spartanburg, SC location. We are looking for operators who are flexible and can work the night shift:
4 pm – 2 am (Mon-Thurs)
Wages start between $19.00 - $25.00 / hour or more based on relevant work experience and a strong employment history.
Essential Functions of this position include:
- Prepare for Operation - Access job ticket information and set up a flexographic printing press to produce labels and other products to customer specifications. Ensure the machine is adequately stocked with the correct raw materials for each job.
- Operate Flexographic Press - Operate assigned equipment in accordance with company safety standards and departmental SOPs to produce printed products according to customer specifications. Continually monitor supply levels of inks, paper, and other required materials to add as needed. Make routine adjustments as needed to maintain print quality and correct any issues as soon as possible.
- Perform Troubleshooting & Maintenance - Observe and monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are needed. Perform basic maintenance and advanced troubleshooting of assigned equipment during shift.
- Perform Quality Checks - Complete quality checklist(s) and other required documentation. Perform visual quality checks of the product throughout the printing process to ensure customer satisfaction. Flag bad product for removal from job run. Cut samples from each job and compare them to product standards to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Perform Line Clearance - Clean assigned area by removing all products from the line, trash, boxes, and other supplies associated with a completed order.

- Knowledge of the setup and operation of a flexographic printing press,, specifically Mark Andy P5 experience preferred, but will consider those with experience on other models as well.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Job Summary
The SMT Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and preventative maintenance of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment during second shift hours, minimizing downtime and supporting continuous production.
Job Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of SMT equipment including pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, screen printers, and automated optical inspection (AOI) systems.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and software issues on SMT production lines.
- Execute scheduled maintenance tasks according to established procedures and manufacturer specifications.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production line interruptions, providing timely and effective solutions to restore functionality.
- Utilize schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals to guide repair and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with production operators and engineers to identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used accurately in the maintenance management system.
- Support equipment setup, calibration, and changeovers for various product builds.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of maintenance best practices.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards, including ESD procedures.
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Electronics Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and repair of SMT manufacturing equipment.
- Strong understanding of SMT processes, equipment operation, and common failure modes.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Experience with various SMT equipment brands (e.g., Fuji, Mydata, ASM, Panasonic) preferred.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently on the night shift and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

9:00 pm - 5:00 am Sunday - Thursday - + .50 shift premium.
5:00 am - 5:00 pm Friday-Sunday - + $3.00 shift premium- 2 positions open
Follow all Company policies, procedures, and guidelines as well as take actions that support teamwork, safety, contamination control, and efficiency.
Follow the pre-production, make ready, and production run tasks.
Operate powered equipment.
Occasionally, train workers on the Die Cutting Machine operations, including the feeding and take-off functions.
Follow and adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment rules and regulations.
Ability to thrive in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience with Bobst 106 Expertcut, Spanthera, and Vision Cut Die Cut Machinery .
Fluent in Spanish and English.

Quad is seeking a Flexo Press Operator for our Spartanburg, SC location. We are looking for operators who are flexible and can work the night shift:
4 pm – 2 am (Mon-Thurs)
Wages start between $19.00 - $25.00 / hour or more based on relevant work experience and a strong employment history.
Essential Functions of this position include:
- Prepare for Operation - Access job ticket information and set up a flexographic printing press to produce labels and other products to customer specifications. Ensure the machine is adequately stocked with the correct raw materials for each job.
- Operate Flexographic Press - Operate assigned equipment in accordance with company safety standards and departmental SOPs to produce printed products according to customer specifications. Continually monitor supply levels of inks, paper, and other required materials to add as needed. Make routine adjustments as needed to maintain print quality and correct any issues as soon as possible.
- Perform Troubleshooting & Maintenance - Observe and monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are needed. Perform basic maintenance and advanced troubleshooting of assigned equipment during shift.
- Perform Quality Checks - Complete quality checklist(s) and other required documentation. Perform visual quality checks of the product throughout the printing process to ensure customer satisfaction. Flag bad product for removal from job run. Cut samples from each job and compare them to product standards to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Perform Line Clearance - Clean assigned area by removing all products from the line, trash, boxes, and other supplies associated with a completed order.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include:
- Knowledge of the setup and operation of a flexographic printing press,, specifically Mark Andy P5 experience preferred, but will consider those with experience on other models as well.
- Mechanical aptitude and skills to perform troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to analyze problems for root causes and determine solutions.
- Ability to match and detect differences in similar color shades and hues.
