Inpatient Neurology:
This part-time/per diem position involves inpatient general neurology work within the New York City based Mount Sinai Health System, where you will provide high quality care for patients with a broad range of complex neurological diseases and neurological manifestations of systemic illness. Acute stroke and neurovascular diseases are not included in this role, as these are separately managed by our world-class Stroke Team. You will frequently collaborate with our superb neurosurgical and neurological subspecialists (particularly in epilepsy and stroke). There is an opportunity to participate in cutting-edge teleneurology coverage for interested candidates. Finally, given the Department’s close connection with the Icahn School of Medicine and multiple residency and fellowship training programs, teaching opportunities may be available for qualified and interested candidates, although this is not a requirement. The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeks to recruit an outstanding Physician-Scientist to serve as its next Chief of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Bone Disease in the Department of Medicine. Mount Sinai Endocrinology has satellite practices in multiple parts of New York City, and is strong clinically in Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, MASH, MAFLD, obesity, thyroid disease, adrenal disease, pituitary disease and reproductive disorders, and has one of the largest automated insulin delivery (AID) system programs in the US. The Endocrinology group is also strong in basic research in pancreatic beta cell regenerative drug development, MASH/MAFLD and in prostate cancer research. Administration of the Division : The chief is responsible for the overall management of the Division including:
Development of strategic plans and goals for the Division in alignment with those of the Department of Medicine and the greater Mount Sinai Health System;
Oversight of all financial, operational and personnel issues within the Division and System;
Oversight of and responsibility for divisional faculty, including recruitment of new faculty;
Advance the national reputation of the Division through scholarship, education and innovation in the clinical environment, including as this relates to the broad System emphasis on population health management.
Clinical Responsibilities : The Division Chief will:
Responsible for the overall management of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Bone Disease; including the development of an academically oriented training program, growth of the clinical program, expansion of the basic research program and the maintenance of a financially viable program and the enhancement of the clinical and scientific status of the Division
Administrative responsibilities include: annual performance evaluations for faculty and staff, budget reports, profit and loss reports, coordination of staffing and establishment of policies and procedures in accordance with approved departmental and school administrative policies.
Oversee clinical practice development, including the ongoing strategic growth of two Sinai Doctors faculty practices on the Upper West Side Education and Mentoring Responsibilities : The Division Chief will:
Bring an established record of mentorship at all levels including the ability to foster the growth of both the Clinician-Educator and the Clinician-Researcher;
Develop new and innovative educational goals consistent with the objectives of the System GME and Department of Medicine;
Support the development and maturation of new curricula in the Endocrinology Fellowship Program at Mount Sinai.
Responsible for all teaching aspects of the Division regarding medical students, house staff, fellowship training and continuing medical education. The educational program should include bedside training, didactic sessions, preparation of conferences and a written core curriculum.

The Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital (MSSN) in Oceanside, NY seeks a Program Director for its ACGME fully accredited Gastroenterology fellowship training program!
The program, which is comprised of two fellows per year (6 total), focuses on providing exceptional clinical training along with opportunities for clinically-oriented research. Required and elective experiences are all at Mount Sinai South Nassau, and its associated outpatient facilities, plus IBD and liver transplant rotations at The Mount Sinai Hospital, provide a truly unique experience with respect to the breadth of patients served. In addition, the Division has a separate advanced Interventional GI fellowship (one fellow / year).
The Program Director reports to Dr. Frank Gress, the Chief of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and will be responsible for planning and carrying out the educational agenda for the program, along with the customary administrative responsibilities of the position such as mentoring, trainee evaluation and annual recruitment of new fellows. It is expected that the Program Director will work to create innovative educational experiences that enhance skills needed to care for an increasingly diverse population. The Program Director will help design and oversee a new psychiatry residency program, which will be comprised of three residents per year, focuses on providing exceptional clinical training along with opportunities for clinically oriented research. The program’s sponsor is the ISMMS, the largest GME program in the United States, and most clinical activity will occur at MSSN, which has inpatient, outpatient, and partial stay programs.
The Program Director will have clinical as well as administrative and teaching responsibilities and will be supported by both the local GME office at MSSN, as well as the GME office at ISMMS. Mount Sinai South Nassau’s GME programs are robust, with MSSN serving as a teaching hospital for than 50 years. The following residency and fellowship programs are currently based at MSSN: Family Medicine, Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Podiatry, and Surgery, with more to come.
The ideal candidate for this position is a board-certified Psychiatrist who has practiced for at least five years and has a demonstrated interest in and commitment to medical education and scholarly activity. Previous experience as an assistant or full program director is ideal. A faculty appointment to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai accompanies the position.

The Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center is seeking BC/BE Pediatric, Family Medicine or Adolescent Medicine Physicians to provide primary care in one of our High School-Based Health Centers in Manhattan.
Since its establishment in 1968 as the first primary care program in New York specifically created for the health needs of teens, the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center (MSAHC) has grown to become a model of excellence in adolescent health care nationally and worldwide. We've broadened our vision to match the needs of the Center's steadily rising number of young people we serve, growing from 900 in 1971 to more than 12,000 each year. Responsibilities A. Direct Patient Care: Inpatient and Outpatient settings. Providing direct care to patients in our busy interdisciplinary Adolescent Health Center, including primary and specialty adolescent and young adult health care, reproductive health services including LARC, LGBTQ care including gender-affirming therapy, care for youth with HIV, eating disorders, and chronic disease. ,;
B. Teaching: Precepting adolescent medicine fellows, pediatric residents and Icahn School of Medicine medical students in the outpatient setting at the Adolescent Health Center, as well as on serving as attending physician in the inpatient adolescent medicine consultation service at Kravis Children’s Hospital of Mount Sinai Hospital.
C. Research: Opportunities for research including participation in an NIH-funded long-term study of HPV and quality assurance projects, as well as working with adolescent medicine fellows to develop and conduct their fellowship research
D. Administrative: Opportunities for development of new programs and participation on medical school/hospital committees
