The Opportunity

As a dedicated Property Adjuster, you will work within defined guidelines and framework, investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle low to moderate complexity property insurance claims. You will confirm/analyze coverage, recognize liability exposure and negotiate equitable settlement in compliance with all state regulatory requirements. You will recognize and empathize with members’ life events, as appropriate.

This hybrid role requires an individual to be in the office 3 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Tampa, FL or Chesapeake, VA. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

This is an experienced desk based Property Adjuster role working in a telephone concentrated environment without physical inspection of loss. This is an hourly, non-exempt position with paid overtime available. Training will be approximately 12 weeks, Monday to Friday and hours may vary by location. Upon successful completion of training, employees will transition to an eight-hour work shift ranging between 8:00 am – 5:30 pm (local time) Monday to Friday with availability for occasional evenings and weekends based on business needs.

What you'll do:

  • Proactively manages assigned claims caseload comprised of claims with low to moderate complexity damages that require commensurate knowledge and understanding of claims coverage.

  • Partners with vendors and internal business partners to facilitate low to moderate complexity claims resolution. May also involve external regulatory coordination to ensure appropriate documentation and compliance.

  • Investigates claim damages by conducting research from various sources, including the insured, third parties, and external resources. May identify and resolve potential discrepancies and identifies subrogation potential resulting from unusual characteristics.

  • Identifies coverage concerns, reviews prior loss history, determines and creates Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals, when appropriate. Determines coverage through analyzing investigation information involving low to moderate complexity policy terms and contingencies.

  • Determines and negotiates low to moderate complexity claims settlement. Coordinates with management for guidance on assessing settlement amounts outside of authority limits to support managing claims outcomes.

  • Maintains accurate, thorough, and current claim file documentation throughout the claims process.

  • Applies knowledge of estimating technology platforms and virtual inspection tools to prepare and manage low to moderate complexity property insurance claims estimates

  • Recognizes and addresses jurisdictional challenges such as applicable legislation and construction considerations.

  • Supports workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response operations as needed, including mandatory on-call dates and potential evening, weekend, and/or holiday work outside normal work hours.

  • May be assigned CAT deployment travel with minimal notice during designated CATs.

  • Works various types of claims, including ones of higher complexity, and may be assigned additional work outside normal duties as needed.

  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

  • Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise, assign and schedule the work of subordinates in the enforcement of laws and ordinances for the Minneapolis Police Department.

Discipline
Prior to moving onto the assessment center, candidates' internal affairs blue cards will be reviewed to determine if they are allowed to continue with the promotional process. An officer's disciplinary record will be considered as part of the selection process and may disqualify an applicant or cause them not to be selected depending on the severity and/or frequency of discipline. Additionally, applicants may be disqualified at any time for any reason outlined in the Civil Service Rules, including sub-standard performance.

OPTIONAL PREPARATION MATERIALS:
Virtual (Video-Based) testing preparation materials will be offered for optional viewing in advance of testing. Typically, a link to a written-examination overview video is sent out approximately 4-6 weeks in advance of the written examination administration date. Subsequently, a link to a set of assessment center orientation videos is sent out thereafter. Both links will be up and available for some period to allow for viewing on your own time, at your convenience. The assessment center videos are detailed and lengthy and may be best viewed across several "sessions" to allow you to best understand the information. The assessment center videos will also briefly cover the "Oral Exam", internally referred to as the Internal Promotional Interview and Assessment. Viewing the orientation videos is not mandatory, though they contain a great amount of information meant to level the playing field and allow you to better succeed in the promotional process. Notification regarding the written examination and assessment center orientations will be emailed to all applicants in advance.

TESTING COMPONENTS:

Written Exam (25%)
  • The Written Exam is tentatively scheduled for May7, 2026, at the Minneapolis Police Academy located at 4119 Dupont Ave N, Minneapolis, MN. Time is forthcoming. Candidates are expected to be seated and ready to begin the examination on the scheduled time. Candidates who are late will not be permitted to take the written examination.
  • The Written Exam is currently in development, and as a result, the passing score has not yet been determined. The passing score will be determined by the test developer (I/O Solutions). Applicants will be notified of the passing score after the administration of the Written Examination.
Assessment Center (55%)
  • The Assessment Center is tentatively scheduled for June 15- June 19th at the the Minneapolis Convention Center located at 1301 2nd Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55403. Times are forthcoming.
  • Only applicants who receive a passing score on the Written Exam will be invited to continue with the Assessment Center process.
  • The Assessment Center will have a passing score as well based on the rating scale employed at the time of the administration. This passing score will be provided to candidates after the administration of the Assessment Center. You will be notified of the passing point and your status within the Assessment Center. No scores will be provided until all components are completed.
Internal Promotional Interview and Assessment or IPIA (20%)
  • The IPIA will be administered at the same time as the Assessment Center.
  • The IPIA is administered via technology and your responses will be video recorded to allow for ratings at a later date.
  • As such, the IPIA will not be evaluated at the time of the Assessment Center administration, nor will the IPIA be evaluated by external law enforcement assessors. The IPIA videos will be reviewed by Human Resources as only those passing the Assessment Center at the designated cut-score will be evaluated.
  • Candidates achieving a passing score on the Assessment Center will have their IPIA videos evaluated by a panel of internal assessors within the MPD.

About the Role Supply Chain Manager:


Reporting to the CEO, the is responsible to Manage, coordinate, plan, and organize strategic sourcing, purchasing, production and inventory planning, receiving, warehousing, control, and distribution of materials to satisfy distribution needs/service relations as required to accomplish these goals.

The Manager of Supply Chain will be tasked with the identification, development, and completion of significant efficiency/optimization projects. This person will be responsible to work cross functionally within SC as well as WH, and cross functional departments and divisions across the entire business using lean principles, total cost analysis, strong project management skills, and a highly developed to identify major cost saving initiatives, ensure cross functional collaboration, timely project completion and the realization of identified savings. Title: Employment Specialist

Pay Range: $21.97 - $24.72 per hour (effectively $40,000 - $45,000 per year)

Status: Full-time (35 hour per week)

Role Summary: The successful candidate will assess residents’ interests, employment history, and aptitudes to develop tailored employment plans through vocational and educational counseling, referrals for skills development, job readiness preparation, training, and employment placement programs, leading to full-time or part-time unsubsidized employment. The Employment Specialist will collaborate with colleagues to address the vocational and educational needs of their caseload, contributing to program success while aligning with NAICA’s core purpose, values, and vision.

Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties:

The Employment Specialist is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Provide counseling and assistance to clients to achieve employment and housing goals.
  • Coordinate client employment training while optimizing cost containment to expedite their return to work.
  • Monitor and document client progress to ensure goals and objectives are met.
  • Consult with clients to discuss options and goals, developing plans for accessing necessary services.
  • Connect clients to external resources to support employment opportunities.
  • Utilize assessment tools (CARES, Vocational Profile) to identify support service needs and make appropriate referrals.
  • Orient clients to the shelter program, including requirements and consequences.
  • Develop and maintain clients’ Independent Living Plans (ILP) and Psychosocial records via CARES.
  • Assist non-working clients in obtaining Public Assistance.
  • Track and monitor client progress or lack thereof through documentation in CARES.
  • Facilitate group or individual sessions to motivate and empower clients in their planning and goal-setting.
  • Conduct weekly or bi-weekly meetings with clients, or as needed.
  • Refer clients for job development and subsequent employment opportunities when appropriate.
  • Direct clients to resources to support their goal attainment.
  • Provide after-care services to address issues, challenges, and successes, enhancing long-term self-sufficiency.
  • Maintain client files, including conversations, warnings, progress reports, and documentation of all incidents via CARES.
  • Report critical incidents immediately to the Director of Social Services.
  • Collaborate with Housing Specialists and Case Managers to assess client readiness for employment and/or housing.
  • Treat all clients, visitors, and employees with kindness, respect, and dignity.
  • Refer clients to internal and external resources, serving as an advocate when necessary.
  • Develop and sustain connections with other programs and units within the organization for inter-agency referrals.
  • Substitute for other employment staff as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, kneel, crouch, and bend over.
  • Ability to lift, reach, and handle objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to travel to different locations within New York City, as needed.

Work Environment / Schedule Requirements:

  • Staff must continue working past their shift unless relieved by another staff member or authorized to leave by a supervisor. Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.

Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field with a minimum of two (2) years of direct social service experience; OR,
  • Associate degree in Human Services or a related field with a minimum of four (4) years of direct social service experience; OR,
  • High School Diploma/General Equivalent Diploma with a minimum of eight (8) years of direct social service experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to be compassionate yet firm while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Ability to solve problems, make decisions, resolve conflicts, and listen effectively.
  • Capacity to remain calm in crisis situations.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.

IT Field Operations Senior

  • As a member of Customer’s IT Field Operations Group, you will be responsible for providing end user application and hardware support, including PC workstations, printers/drivers, advanced network and telecom troubleshooting, server support and level II resolution of incident tickets while operating in a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
