North American Internship Program
The Flexco Summer Internship Program has been designed to assist undergraduate students gain exposure to the Manufacturing Industry, provide hands-on experience in their field of interest, and develop professional skills for their future careers.
About This Role
The Learning and Development team is seeking a creative, curious, and motivated student to join them this summer! As an Instructional Content Intern, youβll play a key role in building a next-generation training system for production employees. This internship focuses on capturing real work, turning it into clear learning content, and helping people learn complex tasks step-by-step. Youβll work closely with a Manufacturing Training Specialist to film short process videos, document complex tasks, and help build structured training guides used across the organization.
Key Projects and Tasks
- Content Creation and Editing β Capture engaging visual media, such as video and photography, of manufacturing processes and role-specific tasks across departments. Edit the content using approved software to meet Flexcoβs brand and Training Department standards.
- Develop Training Materials β Assist with planning, filming, documentation, and set-up for media capturing sessions and documentation efforts.Organize raw media into draft training materials by using templates or structures provided by the Manufacturing Training Specialist.
- Learn Software Systems β Gain experience with tools like Camtasia, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and InDesign while formatting and publishing visual content across platforms.
- Organization and Tracking β Support Training Manufacturing by organizing and tracking files and version controls in Microsoft Teams and/or SharePoint.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration β Partner with the Training Manufacturing Specialists, trainers, shop floor operators, and manufacturing managers to ensure the accuracy and clarity in all training materials produced.

Requirements
- Full-time, on-site availability (40 hours/week)
- Currently enrolled in college/university with Fall 2026 registration confirmed
- Familiarity with media editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, or similar)
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Strong written communication skills for clearly-written documentation of technical processes
- Interest in manufacturing, instructional design, or media production
- Comfortable engaging with shop floor employees and asking questions
- Experience with Microsoft software including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Learning & Development Specialist
Location: Downers Grove
Department: Training and Development
Purpose: The purpose of this role is to design, deliver, and continuously improve employee development initiatives, including onboarding, skills training, leadership development, compliance education, and growth plans for key roles. This position ensures all development programs align with and reinforce the organizationβs culture and values, supporting employees at every level in achieving their full potential.
What you will need:
- Bachelorβs degree in business, HR, Organizational Development, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Learning & Development or Talent Development
- Proven experience managing leadership development programs, skills programs, onboarding and compliance training in a global environment
- Strong facilitation and communication skills for virtual and in-person environments
- Proficiency with L&D technologies: LMS, virtual platforms (Microsoft Teams), eLearning tools, survey systems, and analytics
- Experience using AI tools to enhance learning design and delivery
- Ability to analyze learning data and translate insights into action
- Excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills
- Preferred: Experience in manufacturing or industrial environment
- Ability to travel up to 20% domestic travel
- Ability to analyze learning needs, interpret data, and recommend solutions aligned with business priorities.
- Comfort with change and proactivity in leveraging new technologies (including AI) to enhance learning experiences.
- Competency in LMS administration, eLearning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate), and virtual platforms (Microsoft Teams).

- Leading leadership Development Journeys: Manage Flexcoβs leadership programs - including scheduling, communications, development, delivery, facilitation support, stakeholder feedback, analytics, and continuous improvement.
- Supporting ongoing leadership development: Support learnersβ post-program to continue leadership development in dynamic and innovative ways.
- Driving compliance readiness: Coordinate and deliver annual compliance training programs to ensure regulatory alignment and audit success.
- Designing engaging learning experiences: Create blended learning solutionsβeLearning, webinars, simulations, and experiential activitiesβthat strengthen skills and embed Flexco values.
- Collaborating with HR: Work with HR on structured onboarding experiences to help new employees start smart.
- Driving employee learning engagement: Market and promote learning opportunities to a global workforce to drive access to learning experiences.
- Measuring what Matters: Track participation, completion rates, and learner feedback using analytics tools to uncover insights and drive program improvements.
- Facilitating high-Impact Sessions: Deliver or support virtual and in-person workshops that keep learners engaged and focused on practical application.

Learning and Development Specialists at Flexco can expect a starting annual compensation of between $90,000.00 and $113,000.00, or more, depending on skills, education and experience.
