We are seeking a Maintenance Reliability Manager for our First Quality Retail Services facility located in Lewistown, PA.

This position will be responsible for the developing & directing technical support teams including Operations and Line Maintenance/Preventative Maintenance, Parts Room and Facilities to achieve production goals. Works with Process Engineering, Production, Planning, Product Development, Quality Assurance, and Project Engineering to provide efficiency, scrap, speed, and reliability improvements; new products and product improvements; and manufacturing cost & quality improvements.

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

• Ensures safe work practices are being followed and violations are corrected immediately.

We are seeking a Product Development Engineer for our First Quality Baby Products facility located in Macon, GA.

This position will be responsible for leading product development projects and selecting technologies to use to meet customer demands. Successful candidate will work with and provide technical expertise for continuous improvement activities of the process teams for new and existing products within the FQBP facility. This role will also work in collaboration with each facility’s Quality Manager and Product Development resources (including benchmarking and sharing of best practices). This individual must be able to participate in plant trials and train others in testing methods.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Promotes an action-oriented safety culture, embracing safety as a core value, instilling and exemplifying a safety mindset for all team members resulting in an incident free workplace.
• Works in conjunction with Quality department to ensure finished product satisfies all finished product quality standards.

We are seeking a Indirect Procurement Senior Manager for our First Quality Products Company located in McElhattan, PA. This position may be based out of our Central PA site (McElhattan, PA & Lewistown, PA) or Macon, GA.

This position will be responsible for leading the indirect procurement department covering all FQ Absorbent Hygiene companies (AbHy). The individual in this role will manage strategic sourcing initiatives, approve spend in certain categories, work closely with other functional department team members to standardize and streamline spend, lead negotiations with vendors, and collaborate across AbHy plants to ensure consistency of processes and purchases to leverage spend and deliver the best overall value for FQ. Must have the ability to travel roughly 30% of time to AbHy locations.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Direct/coordinate the procurement of indirect materials, supplies, spare parts, and services (MRO) needed to support operations for all AbHy plants by promoting collaboration across AbHy indirect buyers and functional departments to find synergies and negotiate aggregated volumes to achieve commercial benefits
• Represent FQ by developing strategic relationships with key suppliers. This includes sourcing and negotiating strategies along with leading the internal process and obtaining alignment with cross functional stakeholders
• Design and implement policies and procedures for the indirect procurement department that are consistent with the overall FQ purchasing policies.
• Identify and track cost savings initiatives including dollar savings and process improvements within the indirect procurement department and with functional departments to support FQ’s Funding the Growth (FTG) efforts
• Lead and manage a team of indirect buyers across multiple locations, providing training, supervision, direction, and guidance.
• Establish and maintain measurable performance metrics covering procurement activities including but not limited to buyer activity levels, categorized spend, requisition activity, and internal order placement performance.
• Approve requisitions across multiple plants in specific categories of spend to ensure the requisitioned item or service is accurate in need and scope, interface heavily with the requisitioning department to resolve questions and thoroughly vet the spend, and provide analytics to support the spend with documented notes and summaries to leadership, and.
• Participate in the development of cost-effective parts, equipment, and substitute equipment while maintaining quality and safety.
• Build and maintain strong relationships within the procurement department and other functional departments, finance, and plant leadership to ensure alignment of goals and objectives and cost savings initiatives.
• Research and identify vendors of spare parts, supplies, services, and other goods to assess for potential inclusion in competitive bidding to continually strengthen the FQ vendor selection options.
• Create or assist in creating procurement documentation such as requisition summaries to support spend, executive summaries, RFI’s, RFP’s and RFQ’s, and other spend and sourcing analytical reports.
• Build and develop our digital roadmap to drive automation, efficiency, insights, and cost effectiveness
• Position will require 30% travel.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in business management / supply chain or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing operations, with negotiating, cost analysis, and supply chain or procurement experience preferred.
• Strong and effective communicator, both oral and written, who can articulate and clearly convey information with good interpersonal and leadership skills while interfacing with all levels of FQ’s organization structure.
• Experience in supervising and leading a team of employees is ideal.
• Demonstrated experience with business relationship development and excellent customer service.
• Proven analytical, problem-solving and process optimization abilities while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be a solid team player with ability to lead a team successfully with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of procurement functions and ERP systems, SAP and Hexagon EAM, strongly preferred.

We are seeking a International Trade Compliance Specialist for First Quality Consumer Products located in McElhattan, PA.

This position will ensure that the company’s import and export activities comply with all applicable U.S. and international trade laws including, EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and partner government agency requirements. Responsible for managing all aspects of global logistics, customs compliance, documentation, financial impacts, and risks for raw materials, machinery, components, and finished goods. This role is crucial for ensuring timely delivery, minimizing delays, and maintaining compliance with global trade regulations.

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

• Manage the import and export process of raw materials, machinery, parts, and finished goods aligned with production schedules.
• Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, U.S. and foreign customs laws, and manufacturing-specific import/export requirements.
• Prepare, verify, and maintain shipping and customs documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
• Work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PL partners to coordinate timely and cost-effective global shipments.
• Collaborate with internal teams—procurement, production, quality, warehousing, legal, and product development to assess trade compliance implications of new products or markets —to align logistics with supply chain needs.
• Track shipments in real time and proactively resolve any issues with customs clearance or logistics delays.
• Optimize logistics operations and reduce transportation costs through vendor negotiation and process improvements.
• Develop strategic international strategies to deliver the lowest cost options while limiting risk of finished goods sales as well as raw materials and machinery procurement.

Education and experience requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Strong working knowledge of Incoterms, HTS classification, and global trade regulations.

This position will be responsible for providing technical skills with tactical leadership in the development, operation and support of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies/programs/procedures to instill and sustain an incident-free work environment while ensuring full compliance with all applicable regulatory agency requirements.

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

Play a pivotal role and work collaboratively within the site management team, and drive quality engagement through all levels of the organization.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Provide leadership and planning to develop, implement and maintain quality systems to ensure compliance to regulatory, industry, and customer standards.
• Serves as the Management Representative for all site compliance and quality systems
• Supervises the activities of assigned staff and monitor the activities of QA/QC personnel within the QA Department.
• Assure that all resources utilized for the quality functions are procured, maintained, and perpetuated in a cost effective and timely manner within the goals of the strategic business plan.
• Take the leadership role in maintaining/changing the quality culture of the company – serve as the visible model of Quality. Educate team members in the quality philosophy and practices, including improvement strategies.
• Represents the company to vendors, customers, and appropriate regulatory officials in matters related to quality.
• Administers the quality audit program.
• Provides training to team members, as required, for implementing quality initiatives.
• Work with cross-functional teams to prioritize key site projects and determine appropriate resources and timing; integrate lean six sigma activities with quality system activities such as Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) and Quality Improvements to assure effectiveness and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements.
• Develops annual quality plans and recommendations for continual improvement in conjunction with the Quality Leader and Operations Manager
• Determines methods and implements plans for professional development of personnel within the QA Department.
• Proposes budgets and monitors budget activity for the QA Department.
• Provides statistical analysis for evaluation of processes, and issue KPI reports to site leadership and divisional leaders at determined frequencies.
• Conducts lab tours and explains quality system to visitors.
• Understands competitive product features in comparison to products.
• Completes required reports and summaries for regulatory & industry agencies.
• Assists and substitutes for the Divisional Quality Leader, as needed.
• Observes all safety rules and always uses the proper safety equipment.
• Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
• Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations.
• Manage master validation plan.
• Implement, monitor and review online Quality systems, including vision QMS Software, and SPC systems.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Technology, Mathematics, Business, or Science discipline.
• Three years minimum experience as a Quality Manager, Technical Manager, or QC Supervisor in a manufacturing environment (preferably FDA-regulated environment).
• Six sigma Green Belt certified, preferred.
• Supervisory experience.
• Auditing experience in GMP and/or ISO systems.
• ASQ Certification or equivalent training (CQE, CQA, CQT, or CQM).
• Advanced skills in oral and written communications.
• Standard skills in technical, business, and managerial fields.
• Standard skills in statistics, procedure implementation, and quality auditing.
• Competent in interactions with executive management, vendors, and customers.

We are seeking experienced Non-Standard Auto Liability Claims Specialist to join our new office in Oak Brook!

This talented individual must possess previous experience in the investigation, determination of coverage, prompt evaluation of both First- and Third-Party auto property damage claims with an eye towards prompt, courteous and economical resolution of both First and Third Party related property damage claims.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and determine course of action on each file assigned, utilizing technical knowledge and experience for the purpose of supporting final disposition of a loss
• Conduct thorough investigations and keep accurate and relevant documentation of file activity on each claim assigned including coverage liability, status and damages that are applicable for each claim
• Honor/decline/negotiate first and third-party liability claims upon completion of coverage/policy investigation and analysis of damages and liability
• Work directly with internal and external customers to develop evidence and establish facts on assigned claims
• Organize, plan and prioritize work activities to keep up with current assignments and to ensure prompt conclusion of claims
• Prepare and present claim evaluations for the appropriate settlement authority
• Notify the Underwriting Department of any adverse information uncovered in the course of the investigation
• Familiarity with unfair claim practices in states where we do business
• Conduct business with vendors in a professional manner while maintaining a reasonable expense factor and upholding the company's reputation for quality service
• Provide customer service both to internal and external customers
• Handle other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Minimum 2-3 years previous auto insurance or other auto related experience A MUST!
• Non-Standard Auto claims handling experience a plus!
• Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication (verbal, written, phone) skills
• General working knowledge of policies, file procedures, state rules and regulations
• Ability to pass written examinations where required by state statutes to become a licensed Claims Adjuster

Preferred:

• Prior claims experience
• Ability to use on-line claims system
• Bi-lingual a plus!
