Position Purpose

What you will do:

Purpose: Oversees bed management, including patients who are being admitted, transferred and discharged. - In collaboration with the management team provides coaching, direction and supervision of all staff members in house during assigned shift. Facilitates appropriate human, material and other resources to ensure effective patient care. Expedites patient flow to minimize diversion of patient access.
- Partners with appropriate persons to educate employees in organizational policy, changes, and new technologies. Recommends, supports, and participates in education opportunities. Demonstrates appropriate clinical competencies.
- Ensures financial performance and profitability of designated areas through monitoring and evaluating resource utilization and equipment distribution during assigned shift. Collaborates with Unit Directors and Patient Care Staff in maintaining the correct staffing throughout the hospital.
- In collaboration with the management team, focuses on optimal patient outcomes, regulatory compliance and quality improvement initiatives.
- Follows and/or establishes communication channels to ensure appropriate effective internal and external communication between and among stakeholders.
- Monitors and ensures optimal level of patient, staff and physician satisfaction and patient expectation and service levels.
- Meets population specific and all other competencies according to department requirements.
- Promotes a Culture of Safety by adhering to policy, procedures and plans that are in place to prevent workplace injury, violence or adverse outcome to associates and patients.
- Creates a caring and healing environment that keeps the patient and family at the center of care throughout their experience at Mount Carmel following the principles of our interdisciplinary care delivery system.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate from school of nursing. Baccalaureate degree strongly desired.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in State of Ohio.
- Minimum of four to five years recent clinical experience in hospital setting with Care Manager/Charge Nurse or other relevant hospital management experience required.
- Demonstrates results oriented leadership and management ability.
- Telemetry qualified or has attended the basic ECG course.

Position Purpose:
Do you have a passion for Cardiology? Our 2 General is a 24-bed unit that specializes in cardiac and nephrology care. Cardiac patients are post Cath or EP, CHF, chest pain, and drips. Care is also provided on this unit for our acute and chronic renal failure patients.
What you will Do:
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of patients.
Supervises and coordinates care provided by LPNs and PCAs.
Facilitates communication with physicians, families and other team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current IA RN license
BSN preferred
No previous experience required

As a Home Health RN, you’ll be a trusted guide in a patient’s recovery journey—offering support, clinical expertise, and compassionate care in the comfort of their home. Working under the direction of the Director of Professional Services, you'll help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life while avoiding unnecessary hospital visits.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care to home health patients.
- Perform comprehensive initial assessments and develop individualized care plans in coordination with physicians.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Deliver education and support to patients and families to empower them in managing care at home.
- Ensure all care provided aligns with agency policies, clinical guidelines, and physician orders.
- Participate in rotating on-call responsibilities to ensure continuity of care.
What You Bring:
- Completion of an accredited nursing program.
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Virginia.
- At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience (Home Health experience strongly preferred).
- A strong sense of independence and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
