As a Registered Nurse at MercyOne, you will provide and direct safe, effective, and culturally competent care for patients with acute medical and surgical conditions. Through evidence-based practice, utilizes critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate outcome-based care. The Acute Care RN manages a diverse patient population with varying levels of acuity, including post-operative, medical, telemetry, and neurologic patients. Supervises and coordinates care provided by LPNs, Patient Care Assistants, and other nursing team members. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in nursing required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Possession of a current or compact state licensure as a Registered Nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa and IL RN license within one year
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required. American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required only if the unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities.
Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire

Responsibilities
The registered nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. Qualifications

- Basic Life Support certified within six (6) weeks of hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
- Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft office products. Helpful if familiar with ProVation RN & MD.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified or obtained within six (6) months of hire.
- Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
- Ability to read, write and speak English language.

Position Purpose:
Do you have a passion for Cardiology? Our 2 General is a 24-bed unit that specializes in cardiac and nephrology care. Cardiac patients are post Cath or EP, CHF, chest pain, and drips. Care is also provided on this unit for our acute and chronic renal failure patients.
What you will Do:
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of patients.
Supervises and coordinates care provided by LPNs and PCAs.
Facilitates communication with physicians, families and other team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current IA RN license
BSN preferred
No previous experience required

As a Pediatric RN at MercyOne, you will provide evidence-based, outcome-focused care to pediatric patients in a variety of settings. Using critical thinking, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care, while supervising and coordinating the nursing team. You will collaborate with pediatricians, families, and other team members to ensure clear communication and optimal outcomes for each patient. By conducting thorough assessments, identifying patient needs, and developing goal-oriented care plans, you will guide both the child and family through their healthcare journey. Ongoing evaluation and adjustment of care plans will ensure the best possible outcomes for every pediatric patient.

Education:
Associate degree required, BSN preferred. No prior experience required. Current Iowa RN license, BLS, Mandatory Reporter. PALS
