We are partnering exclusively with a respected and growing organization in Jacksonville to identify a Compliance & Regulatory Specialist to lead regulatory strategy, manage the lifecycle of pricing and risk governance, and support the growth and maintenance of its insurance product portfolio.


We are seeking an experienced Compliance & Regulatory Specialist with deep expertise in SERFF filings, rate and form filings, and state Department of Insurance compliance. This role partners closely with underwriting, pricing, and product leadership to manage insurance product governance and regulatory strategy.


This is a high-visibility role, reporting directly to the President, for a regulatory professional who understands property and casualty insurance, thrives in a licensed regulatory environment, and enjoys cross-functional collaboration.


Key Responsibilities


Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

  • Ensure compliance with state property and casualty insurance laws, regulatory requirements, and licensing standards
  • Serve as primary liaison with state Departments of Insurance
  • Manage regulatory correspondence, updates, and product filing strategy
  • Prepare, submit, and manage policy, endorsement, rate, and rule filings through SERFF
  • Collaborate with actuaries on ratings for new products and rate revisions
  • Define licensing rules and guidelines for agents, brokers, and states


Product Management & Governance

  • Manage the full insurance product lifecycle including design, development, approval, review, and launch
  • Ensure compliance with risk-based pricing, underwriting guidelines, and disclosure requirements
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to align product availability and evaluate plan design, benefits, and pricing
  • Prioritize product roadmap based on total addressable market and profitability
  • Source and manage carrier and entity partners; negotiate agreements and service levels


Analytics, Reporting & Risk Management

  • Develop compliance metrics and identify risk trends and improvement opportunities
  • Support compliance audits and risk assessments; implement corrective action plans
  • Create executive dashboards tracking pipeline, renewals, and margins
  • Enforce CRM data standards


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience as a paralegal
  • 5+ years of property and casualty insurance compliance or regulatory management experience
  • Strong knowledge of state insurance department filing requirements, product approvals, audits, insurance law, and governance
  • Proven experience filing insurance policies through SERFF


Technical Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, dashboards, and data analysis
  • Data analysis across underwriting, claims, pricing, and compliance
  • Business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau
