About The School of Cybersecurity and Privacy

The School of Cybersecurity and Privacy, ranked #2 in Cybersecurity, is one of five schools in the #5 ranked College of Computing. Founded in September 2020, it builds on the strong foundation and continued success of the cybersecurity research, education, and service efforts at Georgia Tech that began more than twenty years ago. The College of Computing (CoC) at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) invites applications and nominations for two inaugural Krishna A. Bharat Professorships in Computational Journalism, at its campus in Atlanta, Georgia. The Bharat Professorships will further research and innovation that focuses on information access in the public sphere, exploring responsible, civic-minded approaches to computational journalism and civic technologies broadly. The chair is endowed by Krishna Bharat, a Georgia Tech doctoral alumnus in computer science and the founder of Google News.

The scope of this search is not limited to journalism as conventionally defined. It may include candidates whose backgrounds span a variety of fields that inform civic life - including communication, public policy, political science, statistics, and law - who have the ability to teach and mentor a student body and to promote an inclusive and welcoming educational and work environment. Adjunct Faculty instructors at Saint Xavier University are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, and/or clinical settings. Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as in-person, online, hybrid and/or blended formats, with a preference towards in-person instruction. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, departmental communication, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.

* Doctorate in math or a closely related preferred; Master's degree acceptable

* Evidence of highly effective teaching experience, including developing instructional materials and assessments

* Teaching training

* Residency in Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, or Arizona

• Earned Master's or Doctorate in appropriate area(s) of Education
• Experience working in teacher education
• 3+ years of experience as a P-12 educator
• Current or previous state educator licensure
