About the Role
We are looking for a Power Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. This individual will help design, size and specify power distribution from MV though LV. This person will be involved in concept investigation, system verification, design through successful installation.
Basic Qualifications & Responsibilities
- Proven expertise in the design, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low- and medium-voltage AC distribution systems, including power distribution, control systems, and wiring.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and other technical teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Experience in the development of electrical construction packages comprised of:
- Single Line Diagrams
- Three Line Diagrams
- Schematics/Elementary Diagrams
- Interconnection Diagrams
- Written narratives
- Proficient in interpreting and applying electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical diagrams to support system design and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of 3 Phase Power Systems, Power Factor correction, Harmonics mitigation.
- Interpret/Draft AC Distribution schematic drawings.
- Ability to load balance and perform load calculations.
- Knowledgeable of the requirements detailed in the National Electrical Code (NEC) and National Electrical Safety Code (NESC).
- Experience with power system modeling tools - ETAP preferred.
- Adept at the use of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD. Knowing Revit is a plus.
- Communicate effectively with both the business and technical teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex engineering challenges.
- Familiar with Automotive standards and specification.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Power Platform solutions, identifying, and resolving issues promptly.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for solutions, workflows, and processes, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuity.
- Familiarity with various cable types (e.g., multi-conductor, fiber optic, coaxial, twisted pair, power) and their specifications for system integration and performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution and minimum of 7 years in power distribution applications.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license and US Passport with no travel restrictions.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end internal business applications using Microsoft Power Apps and related technologies.

Technical Requirements (Must Have)

Millennium Space Systems (MSS) has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Power Systems Manager (Level K) to join the MSS team in El Segundo, CA!
As the Electrical Power Systems Manager, you will lead the company's Electrical Power Systems team as a point of contact for technical, budget and resource allocation issues to meet team members' needs, customer requirements, and company goals.

Position Responsibilities:
- You are responsible for managing staffing the team, developing internal team processes, providing staff to support program Space Vehicle (SV) developments.
- You and your team will be responsible for developing maintaining the SV Electrical Power System (EPS) architectures for our various SV buses.
- Your team will be responsible for technical solutions along with maintaining cost and schedule inputs to the programs you are supporting.
- Your team will coordinate closely with products, harnessing, and flight software to develop common and forward leaning SV EPS architectures.
- You will coordinate with other engineering teams, programs, and products to provide staff, solve technical tasks, resolve discrepancies, and improve internal processes to support our spacecraft missions.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO AS A PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER AT SIGMA:
Performs multiple engineering-related tasks in various assignments within the organization related to project design. Travel to job sites to verify design functionality. Work types can vary, but often involve designing for overhead/underground power for roadway/DOT, waterway, and railroad crossing projects. Performs a variety of walkouts or kickoff/scope meetings to assist in route analysis, preparation of scope and/or to assist in preparation of bid documents.
Develops, reviews, or presents technical drawings and analysis
Prepares moderate to complex program/project proposals
Perform economic analysis of engineering alternatives taking into consideration costs of construction and maintenance.

Takes responsibility for QA/QC activities, formulates lessons learned and creates training tools.
Consults with SMEs or acts as the SME to ensure projects and/or programs meet existing and new regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
