System Transfer Center RN, Nights
*7:00 pm - 7:00 am weekdays and a weekend rotation.
Position Purpose:
In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors the registered nurse of the system transfer center should accurately listen and respond appropriately to requests made by transferring physicians, hospitals, and peers. To ensure patients are assigned rooms in an expedient manner, this position will utilize all critical resources within the organization to expedite this process. This position should give high priority to customer service and complete customer satisfaction. This position must ensure all paperwork and computer entry is checked for accuracy and continually enhances their knowledge regarding processes. This position will coordinate the successful transfer and placement of patients entering via the Transfer Center access. This position will effectively communicate with the surgery department, emergency department, nursing units, physician offices, bed schedulers, and outlying facilities to ensure appropriate placement of patients in a timely manner. This position must be able to adjust through a rapidly changing environment. This position will participate in personal and professional growth, development, and continuous improvement in all critical success factors of people, service, quality, financial, and growth. This position will be required to work weekends, holidays, and be on call as scheduled. The registered nurse collaborates in the spirit of teamwork is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of Mount Carmel Health System.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Education: BSN degree preferred
- Licensure / Certification: Licensed as an RN in state of Ohio
- Experience: Minimum 5 years nursing experience, 2 years critical care experience preferred.

Shift: 3rd shift
Hours: 6pm-6:30am
Full time position in the Birth Center at MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center. Primarily night position; this position is also required to work every third weekend and every third holiday. Care for the laboring patient in addition to postpartum couplets and surgical patients. Will be cross trained to assist in pediatrics during times of high census. Required to become Electronic Fetal Monitor certified within first year, in addition to ACLS and NRP; Mandatory Reporter and BLS also required.
POSITION PURPOSE:
Provides and directs safe, effective, and culturally competent care for women, newborns, and pediatric patients. Utilizes evidence-based practice and critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate outcome-based care. Manages a diverse patient population across labor and delivery, postpartum, newborn nursery, pediatrics, and/or pediatric intensive care, with varying levels of acuity. Supervises and coordinates care provided by LPNs, Patient Care Technicians/Assistants, and other team members, while ensuring clear communication with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team. Adheres to MercyOne’s performance expectations and upholds the Mission, Vision, and Values of MercyOne.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Associate degree in nursing required
2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
3. Current Iowa RN license, (current Illinois (IL) license if working in IL) required.
4. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
5. Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire.
6. High language, intermediate to high math, high critical thinking ability.
7. Basic computer skills required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Conducts an initial assessment to gather data.
• Makes an initial assessment of new admissions within 30 minutes of the patient’s arrival to the unit.
• Completes all areas of the admission assessment database within 24 hours of admission.
2. Identifies patient problems and develops them into an outcome/goal-based plan of care.
• Initiates the patient problem list and incorporates relevant obstetric, neonatal, or pediatric history into the plan of care.
• Analyzes and interprets assessment data to identify desired outcomes/goals for mother and child.
• Determines nursing interventions to achieve those outcomes/goals.
• Prioritizes care needs for both mother and infant.
• Identifies and makes appropriate referrals (e.g., Lactation Consultant, Social Services, Nutritional Services, Spiritual Care).
3. Implements the outcome/goal-based plan of care
• Assigns and coordinates patient care based on acuity and team member competencies.
• Organizes and prioritizes care for mothers, newborns, and pediatric patients.
• Delegates tasks appropriately to other team members.
• Implements the plan of care including procedures, treatments, physician orders, nursing orders, education plans, and medications.
• Coordinates implementation with Case Manager, Social Worker, and other disciplines.
• Assists in discharge planning, ensuring families have resources for newborn care, breastfeeding support, and pediatric follow-up.
• Uses nursing judgment to determine frequency and components of reassessment.
• Reassesses at regular intervals to monitor maternal recovery and newborn/pediatric progress.
• Documents discharge instructions for mother, infant, and/or caregiver.
4. Evaluates patient progress and revises the plan as needed
• Evaluates maternal and pediatric response(s) to interventions.
• Updates the plan of care based on ongoing reassessments.
• Revises problem list and outcomes/goals as conditions change.
5. Evaluates patient progress and revises the outcome/goal-based plan as needed.

• Documents completely and accurately per policy.
7. Demonstrates clinical competence
• Utilizes Women & Children-specific policies and procedures to guide practice.
• Ensures medication safety following the “5 Rights.”
• Demonstrates competency in electronic health record systems.
• Processes and implements physician orders accurately.
• Maintains communication with leadership regarding admissions, acuity, and significant events.
• Completes assigned shift duties and resolves discrepancies.
8. Manages fetal and neonatal monitoring when applicable
• Demonstrates competency in interpreting fetal heart tracings and neonatal vital signs.
• Responds appropriately to changes in maternal or neonatal condition.
• Provides interventions for obstetric or neonatal emergencies.
• Serves as a resource for other hospital services and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
9. Provides age-appropriate care based on principles of growth and development
• Collects, analyzes, and applies age-specific data for newborns, children, and adolescents.
• Performs tasks and uses equipment in an age-appropriate manner.
• Communicates effectively with patients and families at their developmental level.
10. Adheres to safety and infection control standards
• Attends required safety programs.
• Uses appropriate PPE consistently.
• Demonstrates emergency procedures for obstetric and pediatric emergencies.
• Maintains a safe environment for mothers, infants, and staff.
11. Maintains compliance with laws, regulations, and organizational standards
• Upholds Trinity Health’s Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, and all applicable policies in a professional and ethical manner.

Requirements:
Prior nursing experience desired, preferably in LDRP
Must have an RN license in the state of Idaho prior to hire date. If multistate license, must establish residency with Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire.
Must provide licensure or proof of application in the state of Oregon for RN license within 90 days of hire

What You’ll Do as a Field Technician – Entry-Level (Construction / Data Centers)
As a Field Technician, you’ll:
- Install, assemble, and modify containment systems that improve cooling efficiency in data centers
- Perform specialized cleaning and decontamination of equipment and areas to keep facilities running at peak performance
- Assist with deliveries, organize materials, and maintain tools and equipment
- Follow direction from supervisors to complete tasks safely, accurately, and on time

What We’re Looking For in a Field Technician – Entry-Level (Construction / Data Centers)
- 0–2 years of construction, technician, or trade experience (data center experience is a plus)
- U.S. citizenship or naturalized citizen, 18+ years old
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Comfortable working at heights, around noise, and in temperatures from 0–100°F+
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs and stay on your feet most of the day
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and good communication skills

Our company is expanding our Data Center Build & Critical Environment practice, and we’re looking for a Data Center/Construction Solution Architect who can bridge the gap between business needs and physical data center realization.
In this role, you will architect services to produce high availability, high density, and construction-ready solutions across power, cooling, white space, and life-safety systems. You’ll guide clients through complex infrastructure decisions, lead technical scope development, partner with engineering and construction teams, and ensure the services you design perform as intended through commissioning and handover.

Requirements:
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management.
•5+ years in data center design, mission critical construction, critical facilities engineering, or commissioning, preferably in hyperscale or colocation data centers.
•Strong understanding of UPS systems, switchgear, generators, chilled water/DX cooling, containment, fire & life safety, and high density/GPU cooling trends.
•Familiarity with Tier standards, TIA 942, ASHRAE TC 9.9, NFPA codes, and data center design and operational best practices.
•Ability to develop and defend CAPEX/OPEX models, evaluate vendor bids, and write detailed technical SOWs.

Job Summary
The Fitness Center Manager oversees all operations of a corporate office building’s fitness center, ensuring a positive and motivating environment for all users. This role encompasses daily facility management, group fitness instruction, personal training, equipment maintenance, and adherence to high standards of safety and cleanliness. Success in this position requires strong customer service skills, a passion for health and wellness, and the ability to foster a positive, engaging experience for all members.
Fitness Center Operations:
- Oversee daily operations of the fitness center, ensuring the facility is clean, organized, and safe for all members.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, implementing protocols for safe use of equipment and emergency procedures.
- Restocking, tracking, and ordering of inventory of enhancements as necessary (ie: towels, locker room amenities, headphones, magazines, etc.)
- Following various opening and closing procedures
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge about exercise, health, and fitness by remaining current with trends in the industry.
- Design and implement personalized workout plans for tenants, considering their fitness goals, abilities, and any limitations.
- Lead three motivating group fitness classes a week (Yoga, Pilates, HIIT. etc.)
Engagement & Customer Service:
- Provide tours as needed and educate tenants on equipment
- Ability to market fitness programs and services
- Actively engage with fitness center users to understand their needs and preferences.
- Provide exceptional customer service addressing questions, concerns, and feedback
- Collaborate with Simpli’s Onsite Experience Manager to design programs that engage tenants, promote health and wellness, and foster a vibrant and connected community
- Promote programs, activities, and events to users to generate excitement and participation
- Stay updated on fitness industry trends and suggest new offerings that meet evolving user needs and preferences.
