We’re seeking a hands-on Test Technician with a solid technical foundation and strong troubleshooting abilities to support our electronic product testing operations. The ideal candidate will have formal training, certifications, or education in electronics and a working knowledge of Ohm’s Law, schematic reading, and electrical power systems. This role focuses on real-world testing, debugging, and validation.

Job Duties:

• Conduct electrical and electronic tests to verify performance, functionality, and compliance with production quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues at the component, board, and system levels using schematics and test equipment.
• Develop, maintain, and improve test and burn-in processes to ensure reliability and throughput.
• Review and update process specifications and documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment with current practices.
• Monitor yields and identify root causes of test failures, coordinating corrective actions with engineering and quality teams.
• Support the design, setup, and validation of new test fixtures, jigs, and diagnostic tools.
• Perform firmware flashing, system configuration, and multi-unit hardware interconnects (Ethernet/BNC/twisted pair).
• Set up and test complex disk arrays or power distribution assemblies as required.
• Maintain preventive maintenance and calibration schedules for all test equipment.
• Drive recovery and repair efforts for any downed test or burn-in stations, coordinating across maintenance and engineering teams.
• Assist with new product introduction (NPI) by supporting test development and validation activities.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent military/electronics training required.
• Strong understanding of Ohm’s Law, circuit fundamentals, and electrical schematics.
• Hands-on experience testing and troubleshooting electronic or electrical systems.

Objective

Essential Responsibilities

REQUIRES 5+ Years direct experience with AGILENT/KEYSIGHT 3070 in-circuit test experience to..

• Perform visual inspection and electrical testing of all ICT failures. Identifies the root cause of the failure based on ICT output file and multi-meter/bridge readings.
• Identify soldering issues with the ICT failed boards based on knowledge of IPC-610 Nidec Mobility Quality Standards.
• Fixes the issues identified or instruct inspectors on how to fix the issue.
• Records the failure reason in the ICT test database.
• Setup ICT machine to run failed boards.
• Analyzes ICT first-pass yield and final yield using automated reports from ICT database and recommends corrective action to ICT technicians.
• Generate excel reports on a weekly basis about overall ICT rework work-in-process level.
• Maintain clean and organized work area at all times. Completes daily area clean up at the end of shift

Key Responsibilities: -

• The X Ray Test Technician is responsible for the loading and unloading of X ray imager panels and fully built detectors into specialized testing equipment.
• This role performs full test cycles to identify defects, irregularities, and performance concerns, and is accountable for accurately documenting and reporting all findings.
• The Technician helps maintain a smooth testing workflow by staying current on assigned test queues and ensuring all equipment and tools are clean, organized, and functioning properly.
• Testing & Inspection
• Load and unload X ray imager panels and completed detectors into designated testers.
• Run full testing cycles according to established procedures.
• Review test results to identify defects, irregularities, and performance deviations.
• Accurately document inspection outcomes and escalate issues as appropriate.
• Reporting & Communication
• Send detailed, professional emails summarizing test results, issues found, and any abnormalities requiring follow up.
• Clearly communicate with engineers, supervisors, and teammates to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
• Equipment Care & Upkeep
• Perform basic cleaning and upkeep of testing equipment, tools, and workstation areas.
• Notify appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Workflow & Production Support
• Maintain pace with testing schedules and priorities to support production throughput.
• Adapt to shifting priorities based on workload, production demands, and urgent testing needs.
• Collaborate positively within a team environment to meet shared goals.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration mindset.
• Good time management abilities, including working efficiently and staying organized.
• Ability to shift priorities quickly while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Comfortable following established processes and documenting results clearly.
• Ability to stand, move, and handle equipment during loading/unloading tasks.
• Comfortable working with testing equipment and within a structured, process driven environment.
• Commitment to safety procedures and proper handling of sensitive components.
