Salary and Benefits
Annual Base Salary for newly appointed BPAs varies per grade, as follows:
GL-5/GL-7 $49,739 - $89,518 per year
Duty location impacts pay rates; locality pay for federal law enforcement is higher in some locations than others. A fully trained BPA may be eligible for up to an additional 25% of base pay per the BPA Pay Reform Act of 2014. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GL-5, GL-7, GL-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without reapplying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level.
Border Patrol Agents are eligible to select from an array of federal employment benefits that include health, dental and other insurance plans, a generous annual and sick leave program, and participation in the Thrift Savings Plan, a retirement plan akin to a traditional ROTH 401(k) offering.
*Recruitment Incentive* Newly appointed Border Patrol Agents (as defined in 5 CFR 575.102 ) will be offered up to a $20,000 incentive. The first $10,000 will be paid upon successful completion of the Border Patrol Academy, with the remaining $10,000 awarded for accepting a prioritized location. Duties and Responsibilities
As a BPA, you will be part of our 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity. Being a BPA makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) profession.
Typical assignments include:
- Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and custom laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations
- Preventing and apprehending undocumented noncitizens and smugglers of noncitizens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions to include using infrared scopes during night operations
- Interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband
- Performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks
- Patrolling the international boundary and coastal waterways using a variety of government assets such as vehicles, horses, vessels, watercraft, off-road vehicles, ATVs, snowmobiles, and motorcycles for the accomplishment of the USBP Mission.
Qualifications
You qualify for the GL-5 grade level if you possess one of the following:
Experience: One (1) year of general work experience that demonstrates the ability to take charge, make sound decisions, and maintain composure in stressful situations; to learn regulations, methods, and techniques through classroom training and/or on-the-job instruction; and the ability to gather concise information through questioning, observation, and examination of documents and records; OR
Education Substitution: A bachelor's degree or successful completion of a full four-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR
Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of general work experience AND successfully completed college education. This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.
You qualify for the GL-7 grade level if you possess one of the following:
Experience: One year of specialized work experience that shows you have the skills necessary to:
- Make sound judgments and decisions in the use of firearms.
- Deal effectively with people in a courteous and tactful manner in connection with law enforcement matters.
- Analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions where you will be expected to make arrests after the completion of required training and apply these skills in a law enforcement capacity such as criminal code enforcement, determining violations of laws, correctional or rehabilitation work involving criminal offenders, security, military, etc.
The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Make arrests and exercise sound judgment in the use of firearms; deal effectively with people in a courteous manner in connection with law enforcement matters; analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions; or develop and maintain contact with a network of informants.
Education Substitution for the GL-7 grade level: A bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement, which is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average (i.e., GPA of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0), or (3) honor society membership. Or will receive a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. Or one full year of graduate-level education in a field of study related to law enforcement (e.g., criminal justice, homeland security, justice studies, law enforcement, courts and judicial systems, forensic technology, forensic psychology, or corrections and rehabilitation) from an accredited college or university; OR
A Combination of Experience and Education: This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.

Other Requirements
Citizenship: You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.
Residency: You must have had primary U.S. residency (includes protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three of the last five years.
Age Restriction: In accordance with Public Law 100-238, this position is covered under law enforcement retirement provisions. Candidates must be referred for selection to the Border Patrol Agent position before reaching their 40th birthday in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Directive 251-03. The age restriction may not apply if you are currently serving or have previously served in a federal civilian law enforcement (non-military) position covered by Title 5 U.S.C. 8336(c) or Title 5 U.S.C. 8412(d).
Veterans' Preference: You may also be eligible for an excepted service Veterans Recruitment Appointment (VRA). The age restriction does not apply if you are Veterans' Preference eligible.
Formal Training: After you are hired, you will be detailed to the U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, New Mexico, for approximately six (6) months of intensive instruction in immigration and nationality laws, law enforcement and USBP-specific operations, driver training, physical techniques, firearms, and other courses. Border Patrol work requires the ability to speak and read Spanish, as well as English. Border Patrol Agents will be provided training to become proficient with the Spanish language at the Academy.

Role Overview:
The Director of Legislative Policy Strategy is responsible for coordinating and executing Applied Digital’s legislative and public policy strategy across national, state, and local levels. This role serves as the central point of integration between internal stakeholders, external lobbying partners, and policymakers to ensure Applied Digital’s interests are consistently and effectively represented throughout the policy lifecycle.
The Director will focus on policy areas impacting data centers, digital infrastructure, energy, and emerging technologies, with particular emphasis on early-stage policy engagement. This includes leading Applied Digital’s response to Federal Requests for Information (RFIs) and similar inquiries to help shape future legislative and regulatory outcomes before formal proposals are introduced.
Key Responsibilities:
Legislative & Public Policy Strategy Coordination
- Develop and manage a coordinated legislative and public policy strategy spanning federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
- Ensure alignment and consistency of policy positions across all levels of government while accounting for jurisdiction-specific considerations.
- Identify legislative and regulatory risks and opportunities and advise executive leadership on strategic response and engagement.
Federal Policy Engagement & Early Influence
- Lead Applied Digital’s responses to Federal RFIs, Notices of Inquiry (NOIs), and other early-stage policy requests issued by federal agencies or legislative bodies.
- Coordinate internal subject matter experts to develop thoughtful, data-driven responses that support Applied Digital’s long-term policy objectives.
- Track federal policy development pipelines to identify opportunities for early engagement prior to formal rulemaking or legislation.
State & Local Policy Execution
- Monitor and influence state and local legislative and regulatory activity affecting Applied Digital’s development, operations, energy strategy, and infrastructure planning.
- Support site development and operations teams by addressing zoning, land use, permitting, utility regulation, and local incentive-related policy issues.
- Align state and local policy efforts with broader national strategy to support scalable and repeatable development models.
External Advocacy & Lobbyist Management
- Serve as the primary internal liaison to Applied Digital’s external lobbying firms and policy advisors.
- Provide strategic direction, priorities, and messaging to lobbying teams to support effective advocacy efforts.
- Coordinate advocacy campaigns, legislative outreach, and policy initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.
Industry & Coalition Engagement
- Represent Applied Digital in industry associations, trade groups, and policy coalitions at the national, regional, and state levels.
- Collaborate with peer organizations to advance shared policy objectives related to digital infrastructure, energy, and technology.
- Monitor industry policy trends and competitor positions to inform advocacy strategy.
Internal Advisory & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, legal, development, energy, sustainability, operations, and communications teams.
- Translate complex policy developments into clear business implications and recommended actions.
- Ensure policy strategy is aligned with Applied Digital’s growth plans, development timelines, and operational priorities.
Policy Monitoring, Analysis & Reporting
- Track legislative sessions, regulatory proceedings, and policy initiatives across relevant jurisdictions.
- Prepare policy briefs, position papers, talking points, and executive summaries for internal and external use.
- Provide regular reporting on advocacy activities, policy developments, and potential impacts to Applied Digital’s business.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in public policy, Political Science, Law, Economics, or a related field.
- 8 or more years of experience in legislative affairs, public policy, government relations, or regulatory strategy.
- Demonstrated experience engaging across federal, state, and local policy environments.
- Experience coordinating with external lobbying firms or policy consultants.
- Strong understanding of policy issues impacting data centers, digital infrastructure, energy-intensive operations, utilities, or technology-driven industries.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree such as JD, MPP, MPA, or similar.

Description:
The IR & Electric Motor Testing Consultant will work with the Snell Group to provide services for our clients. Work will be scheduled by our home office, travel and lodging will be scheduled by you. As this is a relatively new technology, extensive previous experience, while desired, is not necessary.
Responsibilities:
The IR & Electric Motor Testing Consultant will be responsible for delivering all facets of our motor testing and services to our clients. Some of the responsibilities are as follows:
Conduct Electric Motor and Power Quality Services.
- Collect and analyze motor, motor circuit, and power quality data.
- Conduct Infrared Thermography inspections.
- Provide customers with detailed reports describing identified anomalies.

Position Summary
The Critical Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall operation, maintenance, and reliability of Data Center critical infrastructure systems. This role ensures continuous uptime and operational excellence across electrical, mechanical, and control systems that support mission-critical environments.
The Critical Facilities Manager leads site-level facilities operations, manages a team of technicians, and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure systems are maintained, risks are mitigated, and performance standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of Data Center critical infrastructure systems, including electrical, mechanical, and controls systems
- Ensure maximum uptime, reliability, and efficiency of all facility systems supporting mission-critical operations
- Lead, develop, and manage a team of Critical Facilities Technicians and/or Engineers
- Establish and enforce preventative maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance programs
- Coordinate and oversee vendor activities, service providers, and contractors
- Monitor system performance, alarms, and trends to proactively identify and mitigate risks
- Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for system failures or performance issues
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements

- Support commissioning, turnover, and integration of new systems and infrastructure

- 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience managing technical teams
- Strong hands-on experience with critical infrastructure systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, and BMS/EPMS
- Experience managing preventative and corrective maintenance programs
- Proven ability to lead incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Experience working with third-party vendors, contractors, and service providers

Summary of the Job: The primary responsibilities of Machinist Lead - Milling will be to play a vital role in overseeing the team and daily function of the pod. Under guidance of an experienced supervisor and manager, you will oversee production, maintenance, pod cleanliness and scheduling of projects.
Duties and responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate Haas and Okuma CNC milling machines using Mastercam
- Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T
- Machine custom fixtures, tooling, and production components to specified tolerances
- Collaborate with the Wire EDM process; utilize Makino Wire EDM support for fixture and tooling components as needed
- Coordinate the activities of technician in the pod by assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to production schedules.
- Inspect machinery for signs of wear, damage, or malfunction, and work with floor supervisor to generate appropriate corrective actions to address any issues identified.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to pod technicians, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Have a strong understanding of G-Code and CAM to generate and modify when needed.
- Oversee the setup and operation of Mills and Vertical Saws to produce precision components according to engineering specifications.
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with management to prioritize work orders, allocate resources, and optimize production workflows.
- Conduct regular inspections of machining equipment, identifying maintenance needs, and coordinating repairs and upgrades as necessary.
- Support Management with develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality control measures to improve process consistency and reduce waste.
- Communicate effectively with management, colleagues, and external stakeholders to provide updates on production status, resource requirements, and project timelines.

Qualifications
Required Education/Experience:
