Position Responsibilities:
Perform pickup, rework, authorized changes, and functional checks on work typically installed or assembled by lower classifications.
Use a tension meter to set cable tension according to specifications.
Conduct reaming and riveting as necessary to complete work assignments.
Report job handicaps, such as errors in parts, materials, or assembly procedures, following shop procedures.
Select appropriate parts, materials, and tools, and work with blueprints, assembly pages, and work orders to install and adjust cable-controlled systems in the aircraft.
Review bar charts or automated timelines to determine job assignments and obtain necessary drawings.
Locate work areas using drawings or paperwork that specify airplane and section numbers.
Verify kitted parts against installation plans and bill of materials to ensure they are correct and free of defects.
Obtain parts from the Parts Control Area if they are not pre-picked, ensuring they meet specifications.
Drill, ream, and countersink holes in parts/assemblies per specifications, using appropriate tools.
Disassemble parts and deburr holes to prepare for fastener installation.
Use solvents to clean surfaces prior to sealing or assembly, and apply sealants, alodine, primers, adhesives, and special finishes as required.
Install cable control pulleys and rig control cables according to drawings and specifications.
Check and adjust actuator motors for full travel of flight control systems using power sources and hand tools.
Clean the work area and ensure the removal of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and submit completed jobs or in-process checks to inspectors as required.
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:
Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.
Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.

Run the machine to lay graphite plies, copper ampe plies, and perform hand trimming and rework as necessary.
Monitor machine operations for unusual vibrations or sounds, checking gauges and displays for warnings.
Move finished parts and tools using appropriate material handling equipment as required.
Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations and using personal protective equipment.

Position Overview:

BCA In-Service Safety Organization is looking for a Mid-Level (Level 3) or Senior (Level 4) Airworthiness & Regulatory Specialist to join our team in Everett, Washington.

As an investigator in the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Safety and Compliance Investigations (S&CI) team, you will have the opportunity to work independently while leading teams tasked with performing detailed Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations related to regulatory compliance issues. This activity enables program and functional leadership to understand the systemic root causes of compliance issues and implement effective corrective actions that contain the issue and prevent recurrence. This position offers exposure to all aspects of airplane certification across the airplane lifecycle. The importance of this function can’t be over-stated as you will contribute to Boeing product safety by maintaining and restoring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Investigations typically follow the Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM) process, which provides a structured approach to investigations. Engagement with company leadership, certification experts, and functional experts from across the company make this position highly invigorating. Position Overview:
- For any identified issue related to FAA issued Letters of Investigation, Informal or Formal Compliance Actions, Voluntary Disclosures, Self-Audit findings, and Part 25 Airworthiness Non-Compliances, the BCA S&CI team leads the functional engineering organizations (Systems, Structures, Payloads, Propulsion) through the structured investigation process.
- We coordinate closely with Boeing functional groups, management and executives, and suppliers to ensure all stakeholders are aligned with the investigation’s status and resolution.
- We work with the functional groups within Boeing to investigate the regulatory compliance issue by identifying the problem statement, developing a comprehensive root cause investigation that leads to systemic root causes, developing containment actions, actions to prevent recurrence, and actions to verify non-recurrence.
- We coordinate closely with the Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA) to ensure the investigation write-up meets regulatory expectations.
- We partner with enterprise groups to continuously improve our processes and tools to ensure we are ready for the future of BCA and to ensure these processes are consistent with the greater Boeing Enterprise.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
- Experience applying Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), or other similar rigorous problem/analysis/resolution, processes to engineering development and manufacturing/production efforts
- Experience with the commercial airplanes certification process
- Experience and familiarity with FAA processes and procedures and ODA and Applicant roles
- Experience working with FAA or other regulatory agencies

The Boeing Company is looking for a Principal Flight Icing Specialist to join the Sustainable Flight Demonstrator Technology Team in Everett, WA, or Huntington Beach. Depending on experience remote work is an option.
We are seeking an experienced aerospace research leader to direct and grow multidisciplinary research focused on flight-in icing prediction capabilities for aircraft and propulsion systems. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise in aerodynamic icing analysis and testing with demonstrated leadership as a principal investigator and program manager to execute research projects, develop strategic technology roadmaps, and maintain strong partnerships with government, industry, regulators, and academia.
Position Responsibilities
Provide technical and strategic leadership for a research portfolio addressing aircraft and engine icing hazards.
Serve as Principal Investigator or technical lead for developing enhanced analytic and testing methods for ice crystals and ice shape prediction.
Supports wind tunnel testing, ground testing and flight testing at local and remote facilities.
Mentor early and mid-career engineers in a multidisciplinary team to develop a talent pipeline.
Define and implement long‑range research priorities informed by stakeholder needs.
Develop and manage program budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation plans.
Oversee and participate in development, validation, and dissemination of icing analysis tools and models for enterprise use.
Lead coordination with government agencies, regulators, suppliers, and academic partners to align technology development outcomes with design and certification needs.
