Under the general supervision of the Visitor Center Manager, this position is responsible for providing
historically accurate tours to visitors while riding the Liberty Ride Trolley.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Dress in colonial clothing;
* Present historically accurate information as written in provided script;
* Be able to prepare and cover content within a specific timeframe;

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Liberty Ride Trolley Guides share historically accurate information about the Battles of Lexington and Concord
with a script-based educational tour, as well as describe everyday life in Colonial America while riding in the
Liberty Ride Trolley. The Tour Guide is dressed in a colonial outfit, provided by the Visitors Center, and
leads groups through historic sites across Lexington and Concord. While guides do not operate the trolley, they
are responsible for delivering a precise, scripted tour experience, showcasing their passion for history and their
ability to connect with visitors. Guides are frequently exposed to adverse weather conditions including extreme
heat, cold, wetness and humidity and are required to get on and off the Trolley multiple times during each tour.
The Liberty Ride runs multiple times a day and on multiple days throughout the week, including weekends,
from April through October. Each tour is 90 minutes long. This position may have additional opportunities for
working private charter tours when available, which may operate outside of the typical tour season.

Recommended Minimum Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience
Associates degree or equivalent, plus 5+ years of experience in a municipality or Civil Engineering firm or an
equivalent combination of education, training and experience are required. Computer literacy is required. FE or
PE is preferred. Ability to operate CAD is preferred. Public speaking experience is highly desirable. Bachelor of
Science in Civil Engineering is preferred.
Special Requirements:
Valid Massachusetts Driver's license is required.
Knowledge: Familiarity with Civil Engineering practices. Knowledge and ability to read and generate design
plans. Knowledge of administrative office practices and procedures. Knowledge of project management.
Knowledge of financial record keeping. Familiarity with town government. Knowledge or ability to learn new
technology quickly. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations required for department

Store Management serves a broad range of functions, including but not limited to leading all aspects of operation, to include the customer service, cost management, and other training functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take essential responsibility for the business performance of their respective stores;
- Ensure sales profitability through service excellence and lean operation;
- Prepare periodic report, to include sales control, employee scheduling, etc.;
- Organize and supervise the employee shifts;
- Participate in management and personnel meetings;
- Check stock levels and order supplies and materials;
- Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health & safety;
- Store associates will be expected to cross train in each department including: Bread, Cake, POS, Bar.
- Additional duties at store when circumstances dictate.
Qualifications:
- Associate/Bachelor degree preferred;
- Minimum of two (2) years progressive experience in fast food or other related food operations, at leadership level position;
- Strong organizational, communications and leadership skills;
- Ability to multitask and work with tight deadline to meet new or changing demands;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel;
- Good attendance and available to work overtime when needed;
- Excellent work ethic and teamwork concepts;
- Adapt and demonstrate thorough understanding of the 85C concept;
- Available to work on weekends and holidays.
This position requires moderate physical activity. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting. This position requires nearly continuous standing and walking, repetitive hand motions, and reaching overhead. Employees may be exposed to unusual elements including extreme temperatures of coolers and freezers.
