  • Appointment Coordination: Assist clients in scheduling appointments at our multi-specialist hospital, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.
  • Communication Mastery: Handle reminder and follow-up communications with finesse, utilizing both phone and email to keep clients informed and engaged.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately update and maintain client/pet records and files, ensuring a meticulous approach to detail.
  • Cash handling and end-of-day financial reconciliation

  • Support veterinarians through all phases of surgery including pre-medication, induction, anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, recovery, post-operative care planning, and pain management protocols. Perform blood collection via all routes and prepare samples.
  • Maintain clear communication with doctors, staff, and clients regarding patient care and status updates. Prepare patients for discharge, including client education on home care and medications. Ensure accurate and legible medical recordkeeping in accordance with hospital policies and protocols.
  • Follow hospital policies and OSHA safety standards, addressing client concerns professionally and respectfully. Support a collaborative and safe work environment, and perform other duties as assigned to ensure high-quality patient care and smooth hospital operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years working in veterinary medicine, preferably in Emergency or Specialty medicine.
  • Proficiency in advanced veterinary knowledge including restraint, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy, venipuncture, anesthesia induction, monitoring, fluid therapy, drug calculations, laboratory equipment and procedures, pharmacology, disease processes, etc.
  • Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.

The compensation model varies depending upon the course delivery format. For a synchronous Live Online course, a reasonable estimate for this position is $1,500 - $3,750 total per course. For an asynchronous Fixed Date Online or Hybrid course, this position is paid $190 - $240 per enrolled student and a reasonable estimate ranges from $1,520 - $4,800 total per course. General Duties

The department seeks candidates who can support the success of all students through inclusive curriculum, classroom environment, and pedagogy. Specific duties and expectations will vary depending on the method of instruction including: Synchronous Live Online (Zoom); Asynchronous Online (Fixed Date); or Hybrid.




  • For synchronous instruction (live online courses), duties include but are not limited to: syllabus development; assignment development; lesson planning for class meetings; preparing and submitting required texts and course materials; reviewing and updating Canvas course site; and delivering lectures, presentations, and learning activities for all required hours of instruction.

Job Description

Summary/objective

The Spanish Instructor provides instructional support to participants enrolled in the TRIO Upward Bound Classic Program Summer Academic Institute at Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO). Upward Bound is a federally funded college preparatory program designed to increase the high school graduation and postsecondary enrollment rates of first-generation college students and students from limited-income backgrounds.


The Spanish Instructor delivers engaging instruction in Spanish language fundamentals including speaking, reading, writing, and cultural literacy, while reinforcing academic preparedness necessary for college success. Instruction is provided to high school students participating in the two-month summer residential/academic program, which simulates a college learning environment.


The instructor contributes to the academic enrichment and college readiness mission of Upward Bound by supporting program participants in developing language skills, critical thinking abilities, and cross-cultural awareness.


Grant-Funded Position Statement

This position is 100% funded through the federally sponsored TRIO Upward Bound Classic Program administered by the U.S. Department of Education.


Employment in this position is contingent upon the availability of grant funding and programmatic needs. The appointment is temporary and limited to the Upward Bound Summer Academic Program, typically conducted during the summer session.

As the operations and customer services associate, you will be a key member of our core team and work closely with our Co-Founders and manage all aspects of operational processes including customer service, warehouse management, inventory management, shipping and logistics. Job Summary:

The Yard Person/Plant Operator is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the quarry and HMA plants and assisting in the efficient operation of the plant.
