The in-home setting could be a patient's private residence or in a patient's room in an independent living facility. Powerback Rehabilitation To You allows the Physical Therapy Assistant to evaluate and treat in the most functional environment which is the patient's home. The Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy treatments to patients to facilitate increased independence and functioning under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist. This Principal Mechanical Engineering position performs in alignment to expectations in the design, development and production support areas associated with mechanical designs, validation principals, qualification processes, procurement, and production processes across a design life cycle.  Work may include requirements understanding, concept development, DFMAs, PFMEAs, margin analysis, technical data package (TDP) development, application of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principals, engineering test principals, preparation of technical analysis reports, and design review presentation.

This is an onsite role and located in Tucson, AZ.  

What You Will Do:

• Contribute to one or more of our contract-funded and independent research efforts, each of which is at a different phase of development (proposal, design, and integration/test). Engineers are generally assigned to one effort at a time but may work multiple efforts over the course of several years.

• Communicate with cross-disciplined, engineering team members and suppliers to analyze, model, and document the design technical data package (TDP) and its capabilities and compliance to requirements.

• Work under limited supervision and act as the responsible engineer often in a project management role over entire subsystems within an effort. This often requires the ability to direct, delegate and review the work of others

• Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components, sub-assemblies, and major end items for defense system equipment in accordance with system requirements.

• Collaborating across multiple disciplines with Structural and Thermal analyst, Materials Engineering, Quality, Safety, Supply Chain.

• Lead a team(s) with limited supervision and meet commitments for assigned schedule, financial, and technical goals.

• Work thru engineering problems associated with large structures, welded assemblies, component integration, mechanisms, electronic assemblies

• Support suppliers with product integration

• Strong understanding of Thermal, Structural, Dynamic, and Reliability analysis to provide inputs and support. Incorporate results and findings into mechanical design.

• Perform and review tolerance analyses to ensure form, fit, and function are as intended by design for the use-application.

• Improve new and existing designs using Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) and Design for Producibility principles.

• Apply knowledge and experience in technical problem solving and hardware development in a fast paced, team environment.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.

• Experience with CREO (or equivalent CAD tool)

The Effectors Center in the SE&TC Directorate is seeking a Hardware Lead focused on design, physical assembly, lab integration, platform integration, and/or flight test. In this role you will be hands- on, supporting the design, assembly, integration, and completion of the unit under test for successful execution of test events.

What You Will Do

• The core of what you will do is drive the physical assembly and test of the unit under test. You will direct the activities of junior engineers and provide technical leadership in the lab and in the field.

• Expectations of the role: ability to effectively communicate and confidently present to program leadership (internal & USG), attention to detail, ability to be organized and prioritize efforts and a strong work ethic. Ability to mentor and guide a team of junior engineers. Technical know-how to conduct missile level integration and test.

• Travel Requirements – up to 10% of the time. Some testing events may require weeks of travel.

• Physical Requirements – This position requires the ability to physically inspect missiles, support the test set up of missiles, help maneuver missile during packing/unpacking and potentially support multiple long days of testing in a row in austere conditions.

What You Will Do

• Perform direct line management activities and provides leadership for approximately 15-20 engineers within this technical group.

• Provide technical oversight of CRADs, IRADs, projects and program support, as well as technical development of people, training, performance management, Radar Cross Section (RCS) measurement range management, and resource allocation.

• Perform individual contributor workload in the leader’s subject matter discipline.

• Team with the Department Leader in the execution of Materials and Process Engineering, Hardware Engineering Discipline and Raytheon Engineering goals. 

• Ensure two-way communication for section members; serve as the day-to-day liaison to the programs concerning employee job assignments, performance, and recognition.

• Responsibilities also include coordinating program staffing needs and reductions, optimizing resource utilization, and interviewing applicants.

• Provide Materials and Process Engineering support to program’s product life cycle (design reviews, gate reviews, Material Review Board, Change Control Board, Process Change Board, and engineering peer reviews).

Qualifications You Must Have
