BHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity as an Engineer I, Engineer II, Sr Engineer or Sr Engineer II at our White Oaks General Office Building in Bridgeport, WV.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs difficult and complex work requiring strong technical skills and significant knowledge and experience within the functional area or specific engineering discipline.

QUALIFICATIONS
Engineer I:
0-2+ years of related engineering experience
Engineering degree from an accredited college/university, Internship preferred.
Engineer II:
Engineering degree from an accredited college/university and 1-3 years experience.
Sr Engineer/Sr. Engineer II:
Engineering degree from an accredited college/university and 5 years industry experience. PE license preferred.
Engineer I/ Engineer II:
- Four-year ABET accredited engineering degree (Engineer)
- Ability to monitor changes in technology with skill in developing, testing and recommending new ideas and strategies for the utilization of those changes.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager manages complex projects with autonomy and accountability. POSITION FUNCTIONS
Project Planning and Coordination
- Create project plans, schedules, purchase orders and sub-contracts.

Job Responsibilities: The EHS Manager will collaborate with the Site Manager and Corporate EHS Director to oversee and ensure that operations are compliant with applicable environmental, health and safety (EHS) regulations and company policies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the implementation of safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure an environmentally safe and secure workplace that meets or exceeds all Federal, State, and Local regulations and standards.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the Health, Safety and Environmental (EH&S) programs and policies. Act as the local Subject Matter Expert for EH&S topics.
- Conduct periodic site assessments of site EH&S programs and audits.
- Trending of EH&S performance metrics to gauge current state and provide basis for continuous improvement. Able to communicate these to upper management.
- Responsible for assuring the plant’s compliance with all State, Local, and Federal EH&S regulations including Oregon DEQ, OSHA, EPA, DOT/FRA.
- Actively engage with employees and contractors in the field. Work with contractors to ensure safety on site, including contractor qualification, pre‐job planning and training, and safe work permit issuance.
- Responsible for preparation and timely submittal of all EH&S monitoring and reporting required by environmental permits (Waste Water (NPDES), Title V, Storm Water (1200Z) etc.) and other EH&S regulations.
- Work closely with employees to provide personnel EHS training and monitor results for EH&S management issues.
- Lead incident investigations, including determination of root causes and development of corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Provide oversight and management of site EH&S related action items.
- Provide support on capital projects, including completion of new installations.
- Provide oversight and support for the site Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) system.
- Assist in regards to HR related questions and issues such as New Hire Orientation, and Workers Compensation etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or closely related degree required.
- 7+ years’ experience in environmental, health, safety, and industrial hygiene with 3+ years within a chemical or specialty chemical production environment.
- Experience in process safety management preferred.
- Air Permitting, Title V, Storm Water, SPCC, SWPCP, Hot Work Permit, LOTO, Confined Space Program, and other regulatory compliance programs; however, we will consider candidates who do not have experience in all these topics specifically.
- Detail Oriented and ability to handle multiple tasks in fast paced environment.

BHE GT&S has an exciting career opportunity for an Engineer I/Engineer II/Sr Engineer or Sr Engineer II within our Drilling, Rework and Stimulation group located at our White Oaks General Office in Bridgeport, WV.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This role is responsible for drilling new wells, reworking existing wells, plugging and abandoning wells, changing out of wellheads and completing stimulation events on gas storage wells. It provides project management and construction support for storage operation and maintenance initiatives from conceptual stage through successful implementation.
Other duties/responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversight of outside consultants or contractors
- Preparing cost estimates and forecasts
- Project management and construction support
- Request for proposals and professional services
- Negotiations with vendors
- Invoice review and approval
QUALIFICATIONS
Engineer I:
0-2 years of related engineering experience
Engineering degree from an accredited college/university, Internship preferred.
Engineer II:
Engineering degree from an accredited college/university and 1-3 years' experience.
Sr Engineer/Sr. Engineer II:
Engineering degree from an accredited college/university and 5 years industry experience. PE license preferred.
Engineer I/ Engineer II:
- Four-year ABET accredited engineering degree (Engineer)
- Ability to monitor changes in technology with skill in developing, testing and recommending new ideas and strategies for the utilization of those changes.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering schematics, drawings, and technical manuals.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare technical reports, project schedules, and cost estimates.
- Ability to lead, work independently, communicate effectively, and establish rapport.
- Ability to define problems, collect accurate data, draw valid conclusions, and develop solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively operate a personal computer and common software applications.
Sr Engineer/Sr Engineer II:
- Four-year ABET accredited engineering degree (Engineer).
- Full knowledge of engineering theories and principles.
- Skilled in use of advanced techniques and modification and extension of theories, precepts and practices of the field and related sciences and disciplines.
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to serve as team project lead.
- Provide guidance to less experienced engineers.
- Strong oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing).
- Strong personal computer skills.
- Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems.
- Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices.
- In depth knowledge of various computer applications, with the ability to manipulate personal computer applications and perform engineering calculations using applicable software programs (e.g., Matlab, Excel, etc.).
- Equally effective working independently or in team environment.
- Proven decision-making skills.
- Ability to process information quickly and effectively manage multiple tasks.
- Strong planning, organizational and project management skills.

REQUIRED ENGINEERING CRITERIA:
For placement of a candidate in the Engineer job series, the following criteria must be met:
Possess a 4-year engineering degree from an ABET accredited engineering program based on the year that the engineering program was accredited by ABET, or
Possess a 4-year engineering degree from an institution outside of the U.S. which is accredited through the country's own engineering accrediting body under the Washington Accord as a full signatory, and is a degree that was recognized by the country's accrediting body on or after the date that full signatory status was achieved, or
Possess a 4-year engineering degree from a non-ABET accredited program and a post-graduate engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same engineering discipline is ABET accredited based on the year the engineering program was accredited by ABET, or
Possess a 4-year degree in Physics, Chemistry, Math or Engineering Technology and a post-graduate engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same engineering discipline is ABET accredited based on the year the engineering program was accredited by ABET, or
Holds or has previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license.
