SUMMARY:
Leading auto manufacturer seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Employment Counsel to join our Employment legal team at our corporate headquarters. This role is primarily responsible for managing employment-related disputes, litigation, and agency claims, as well as providing expert legal advice on U.S. employment law compliance and wage and hour issues. The successful candidate will proactively identify legal risks and develop mitigation strategies. A key focus of this role is the internal management of legal matters, including the direct handling of administrative charges.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Directly manage and respond to government agency charges (e.g., EEOC, MDCR, and other state/local agencies), including conducting internal fact -finding and drafting high -quality position statements and legal responses without the use of outside counsel.
• Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to Human Resources and business leadership on U.S. employment law compliance, specifically focusing on wage and hour issues (FLSA), hiring, discipline, and terminations.
• Manage and resolve pre -litigation demands and employment -related disputes through direct negotiation or mediation.
• Oversee a portfolio of employment litigation, directing strategy and cost -effective resolution for matters handled by outside counsel while identifying opportunities to pull lower -level work in -house.
• Identify and assess systemic legal risks across the enterprise and develop proactive mitigation strategies, compliance protocols, and policy updates.
• Draft, review, and update corporate employment policies, employee handbooks, and separation/settlement agreements.
• Design and deliver legal training for managers and HR professionals on litigation avoidance, wage and hour compliance, and employment law best practices.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Exceptional legal writing and drafting skills, with a proven ability to produce persuasive, high -quality position statements and legal briefs internally.
• Deep substantive knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, and a strong emphasis on FLSA/wage and hour regulations.
• Strong "practitioner" mindset with the ability to manage the administrative lifecycle of a claim from intake to resolution.
• Ability to provide practical, business -oriented legal solutions that balance legal risk with operational needs.
• Strong advocacy and negotiation skills, with experience in mediation and alternative dispute resolution.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast -paced environment, managing a high volume of active matters and competing priorities.
• High level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality in sensitive and high -profile matters.
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 5 –8 years of dedicated experience practicing employment law.
• Significant, recent experience drafting responses to EEOC and other agency charges is required.
• Significant experience in employment litigation and/or advising large corporate clients is required.
• A combination of experience at a top -tier law firm and a corporate in -house legal department is highly preferred.
• Experience in the automotive, manufacturing, or technology sectors is a plus.
EDUCATION & LICENSING:
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of a U.S. State Bar.
• If not currently licensed in Michigan, must be eligible for admission to the Michigan Bar or for a Michigan special certificate for in-house counsel.
Role: Design Release Engineer
Location: Dearborn, MI

Key Responsibilities
- Perform Design & Release engineering activities at component and system level.
- Follow the Design Change Checklist for each part to understand required DV and PV.
- Execute CAD and CAE updates as required.
- Develop DVP&R for the system and components.
- Manage the new supplier interaction and management with support from Ford STA team.
- Create and maintain the detailed development work plans in support of program timing.
- Support and maintain engine BOM.
- Perform WERS release and participation in change control.
- Move multiple parts across various engine platforms to alternative suppliers.
- Focus includes but not limited to powertrain systems such as of base engine, exhaust/after-treatment, turbochargers/air induction, thermal systems and fuel/ignition/evaporative emissions systems in addition to any other ICE powertrain systems.
- Own the engine sub-system design release process using OEM PLM system (e.g. Teamcenter, CATIA, etc.).
- Approve drawings, BOMs, part numbers, and configuration content.
- Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR's) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO's).
- Ensure design change impacts to cost, quality, emissions, and timing are evaluated and communicated.
- Lead Validation, APQP & Launch Support
- Lead engine sub-system related APQP activities including DFMEA, PFMEA, SCAAFS, Control Plans etc.
- Support DV/PV testing: durability, thermal, NVH, performance, and emissions.
- Coordinate prototype, mule, and pre-production engine builds.
- Support PPAP readiness and launch activities
- Ensure Quality, Compliance & perform Risk Management
- Must be Proficiency with CAD and PLM tools (e.g. CATIA and Teamcenter)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or related Engineering field.
- 3-6 years of internal combustion engine development experience.
- Prior experience in design release or technical leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of engine systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with APQP, DFMEA, PPAP, and product launch support.
- Proficiency with CAD and PLM tools (e.g. CATIA and Teamcenter)

We are looking for an Automotive Training & Development Consultant located in the Detroit, Michigan area.
This position is responsible for analysis, research, development and delivery of manufacturing processes and technical launch training with on-site support to OEM vehicle assembly plants in the US, Canada and Mexico.
Duties:
- Provide on-site training and support at each of the OEM vehicle assembly plants.
- Instruct and consult plant process and repair personnel to improve their understanding of the vehicle and its highly intricate and interconnected systems and subsystems.
- Present and demonstrate efficient and effective methods of diagnosing and correcting vehicle assembly, vehicle electrical systems and sub-system deficiencies.
- Conduct root cause analysis to accurately identify the cause(s) of assembly and vehicle deficiencies.
- Act as the training liaison between product/manufacturing engineering and general assembly by creating, designing and developing training materials related to vehicle assembly process, electrical harness manufacture, vehicle electrical system architectures and schematics.

Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or Certificate in Automotive Technology, engineering or other related discipline with 5 years of experience as an automotive instructional designer, training developer, automotive instructor and/or manufacturing instructor. Or High school diploma with eight years of experience as an automotive instructional designer, training developer, automotive instructor and/or manufacturing instructor may be considered in lieu of an associate’s degree.

- implementing the architecture for our next-generation software-defined vehicles.
- This role requires a deep understanding of automotive systems, software development, and system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Analysis: Analyze customer and stakeholder requirements and derive system constraints for finding optimized solutions for software-defined vehicle systems.
- Design: Develop and define overall system HLD for software-defined vehicle systems, ensuring key constraints like safety, security, privacy, regulatory compliance along with scalability, reliability, and performance in mind.
- Apply a data-driven approach in evaluating design alternatives considering futuristic mindset and document the decisions.
- Interface Development: Develop system interfaces for signal oriented or service-oriented Architectures using standard interface definition language (IDL) and create comprehensive API documentation.
- System Modeling: Model system components using SysML/UML tools.
- DFMEA: Own and craft DFMEAs through the standard development process.
- Support product/feature validation and failure root cause analysis.
- System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware components.
- Verification and validation: Ensure quality and reliability of software and hardware through rigorous testing and validation processes.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, ensuring best practices in software development and system design.
- Automation and Quality Measures: Champion automation of software and system quality measures at all stages – requirements, design, development, and integration – leveraging tools and techniques like TDD, Gherkin (BDD), TestRail, and Google Test.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Electrical or Electronics
- Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software architecture, system design, and integration within the automotive industry.
- 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering, preferably in the Automotive domain.
- 5 years of proven working experience in Software Engineering – embedded.
- 3 years of programming experience in C / C++ / Python.
- 3 years of work experience in Agile project involvement.
- Familiarity with ASPICE, ISO 26262, and SAE standards.
- Familiarity with connected vehicle distributed systems, embedded automotive development boards (Qualcomm, Renesas, NXP, etc.).
- Knowledge of SysML and modeling language/tools.
- Automotive domain experience in component-level system design and integration using automotive network technologies (LIN, CAN, Ethernet)
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR software stack, Android software stack, domain controller architecture, and software-defined architecture.
- Knowledge of communication protocols like MQTT, gRPC, SOME/IP.
- Experience with unit, integration, regression, user testing, and load testing.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Great collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting of embedded systems.
- Experience in functional safety and cybersecurity.
- Understanding of SOLID design principles and clean code practices.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and developing automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of service-oriented architecture concepts, and microservices architecture principles.
