Job Title: Automotive Training and Development Consultant

Client is looking for an Automotive Training & Development Consultant located in the Detroit, Michigan area.

This position is responsible for analysis, research, development and delivery of manufacturing processes and technical launch training with on-site support to OEM vehicle assembly plants in the US, Canada and Mexico.


Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Provide on-site training and support at each of the OEM vehicle assembly plants
  • Instruct and consult plant process and repair personnel to improve their understanding of the vehicle and its highly intricate and interconnected systems and subsystems
  • Present and demonstrate efficient and effective methods of diagnosing and correcting vehicle assembly, vehicle electrical systems and sub-system deficiencies
  • Conduct root cause analysis to accurately identify the cause(s) of assembly and vehicle deficiencies
  • Act as the training liaison between product/manufacturing engineering and general assembly by creating, designing and developing training materials related to vehicle assembly process, electrical harness manufacture, vehicle electrical system architectures and schematics
  • Communicate and share lessons learned, developed training materials and information gathered in support of one plant project with remaining plants on a timely basis
  • Analyze and identify future training needs for each of the OEM vehicle assembly plants
  • Support and participate in plant launch meetings and provide training reports to Raytheon management, the OEM management and OEM launch teams
  • Interface with engineering, component suppliers and vendors to validate and develop training materials for the manufacturing process, vehicle and vehicle electrical sub-systems prior to the Start of Regular Production (SORP)
  • Research and compile manufacturing processes and technical information to be included in training course materials, such as, but not limited to engineering schematics, work in process service information, engineering documents, engineering math data and manufacturing reports


Required Skills:

  • Minimum four years of experience as an automotive instructional designer, training developer, automotive instructor and/or manufacturing instructor
  • Demonstrated knowledge of automotive systems from an advanced diagnostics perspective
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OEM manufacturing tracking and reporting systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OEM manufacturing dynamic vehicle testing systems

Job Summary

Field based position to train and motivate new and tenured Territory Managers to meet and exceed their segment plans by spending 2-3 full days in the TM's territory, coaching and counseling to areas which need development post TM's participation of initial training period and attendance of corporate training.

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Sr Sales Engineer, the Associate Sales Engineer is responsible for growing HellermannTyton sales and spec positions. Account responsibility will be for business at the targeted OEM, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Tier suppliers. Accounts will be assigned. A key role of this position is helping drive increased revenue above market growth within the existing account base. This will be achieved while maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.



Responsibilities:





  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers.

  • Provide technical support and expertise during the sales process.

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

  • Recommends internal process improvements.

  • Helps create and maintain quarterly game plans.



Qualifications:





  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Must live in the Detroit area.

  • 2-5 years of experience with a manufacturer in the automotive industry

  • Proficient at reading and working with engineering drawings.

  • Technical aptitude and background, with the ability to understand, explain, and coach internal and external customers.

  • Experience working with global businesses.

  • Logistics and product line management experience preferred.

  • Effective and credible presentation skills.

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

  • Polished presentation skills, with a sincere demeanor.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Job Summary Provide sales teams with technical and sales presentation support to help secure new business, successful customer integration and the utilization of established products.

Support unit sales plan through pre-sales and/or post-sales technical consulting activities.

Trouble-shoot established products as needed.

Job Description Responsibilities: Prepare and present technical proposals on how Medline's products can meet customer needs and how they can be integrated and implemented with customer's systems and equipment.

Call on potential and existing customers, GPO, and IDNs within assigned territory (both independently and in collaboration with other Medline sales representatives) to expand or retain sales of product lines.

Prepare and present customer systems/equipment needs plan to Medline teams to assure complete plan is feasible within cost, time, and environment constraints.

Analyze customer's system and product needs.

Research customer's business.

Develop target lists of potential accounts.

Gather data and information on customers and participate in developing presentations relative to keeping customers current on product enhancements.

Conduct market research on new product ideas in order to develop product line expansion.

Required Experience: Education Bachelor's degree.

Work Experience At least 3 years sales or related business experience.

Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels.

This role requires 75% travel 4-5 days a week.

Previous experience selling in hospital and/or healthcare industry.
