Role Description
The Stranding Operator is responsible for setting up, loading and operating the stranding machine and making necessary adjustments to ensure the quality of the strand meets required specifications. The Stranding Operator is responsible for his/her own safety and the safety of those around the stranding machine.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Record set-up information at the start of each order.
- Load in full bobbins with the use of appropriate mechanical devices.
- Weld or knot new wire with old wire in the machine from previous order (if applicable).
- Thread machine by pulling wire through guides and stranding heads.
- Secure, install and adjust the proper dies, stranding head, post-former and carboloy rings as required by the order.
- Set the proper lay according to order specifications.
- Twist the new strand together and pick the wires into the proper strand construction.
- Adjust bobbin tension and die pressure at the beginning of the order and as required throughout the entire order.
- Inspect and replace tensioning devices as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned based on operational needs, process changes, or business requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Stranding Operators should possess math skills and mechanical aptitude
- Stranding Operators must have the ability to use and read micrometers, tape measure, feeler gauge, and basic hand tools
- Standing/walking on concrete floors for 12-hour shifts
- Pushing/pulling, lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Ability and willingness to adapt to changing job responsibilities, schedules, and operational requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
Materials and Equipment Directly Used
- Personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed safety shoes
- Stranding Operators will be required to use JDE TranCollector scan guns to issue and return material from a work order. Scan guns will also be used to record production and print production tags.

Duties and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Site Management:
- Plan and coordinate the setup of the construction site, including the organization of workers, equipment, and field office operations.
- Maintain a constant presence on the construction site to ensure that work adheres to company, industry, and project-specific standards.
- Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner, adhering to specific cleanliness standards or procedures.
Safety Administration:
- Administer the company’s safety policy to field employees and subcontractors, including providing training and enforcing safety protocols.
- Identify and address subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
Scheduling and Coordination:
- Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in the critical path to ensure timely completion of project milestones.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain a daily log (written) of activities on the job site in a specified format or system.
- Ensure that all reports, records, timesheets, and other documents comply with company policy and procedure.
- Communicate effectively with the project team regarding ASIs (Architect’s Supplemental Instructions), RFIs (Requests for Information), and Material Submittals.
- Conflict Resolution:
- Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution, documenting issues and actions taken.
- Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors for quality of work or scheduling, following a defined process and outlining consequences.
- Leadership and Supervision:
- Perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites simultaneously, including overseeing site operations and ensuring compliance with standards.
- Walk the entire project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning, using specific checklists or reports.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a Construction Jobsite Supervisor or similar supervisory role in construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, means, and methods.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specification documents.

Responsibilities:
- Perform initial, in-process, and final inspections during manufacturing/packaging; resolve findings with Packaging or QA Management.
- Collect and label samples for release, validation, stability, and raw material testing; prepare and forward documentation to QC as needed.
- Monitor incoming materials in Quarantine; review receiving paperwork for accuracy and follow up on missing or incomplete CofAs.
- Inspect and approve/reject raw materials and components, including bottles, closures, cartons, and labels, verifying results with a second QA employee and updating system records accordingly.
- Prepare approval/rejection documentation, issue batch numbers, and assemble batch folders; coordinate with QA Manager on validation/stability designations.
- Issue batch documentation to production and review completed batch records for accuracy, resolving discrepancies with Production.
- Investigate material usage or yield discrepancies and assist in determining product disposition, including handling bright stock when applicable.
- Communicate product release status to Shipping and perform final pallet inspections to verify product name, lot, count, and order accuracy.
