ComResource is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our high-performing agile development team. In this role, you’ll work across all layers of complex software applications, contributing both as a hands-on developer and a collaborative team member.

As a senior engineer, you will lead key initiatives, help define engineering best practices, and support your peers through complex technical challenges. You’ll be the go-to expert for critical features and components, playing a central role in delivering technology solutions that are safer, more efficient, and more cost-effective.

Key Technologies: Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript/React, REST APIs, Cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Software Development

• Develop high-quality software features and components that integrate into complex solutions.
• Write code that is well-structured, readable, maintainable, testable, and performant using standard software craftsmanship techniques.
• Participate in sizing decisions and complexity evaluations for initiatives.
• Pair with other engineers and apply clean-code practices to produce high-quality work.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Create comprehensive testing strategies, including performance, security, regression, and automation testing.
• Develop unit, integration, and automated acceptance tests based on requirements.
• Build automated tests for both positive and negative scenarios.
• Utilize test-driven development (TDD) to guide implementation and coach peers on TDD and testing best practices.

Data Management, Infrastructure & Integrations

• Define data storage and access strategies and make informed design decisions using knowledge of data modeling, storage, and transmission.
• Apply basic ML and data analytics understanding to maximize business value through data transformation.
• Design system integration strategies leveraging cloud and managed services.
• Utilize infrastructure-as-code concepts to design reusable modules, support container orchestration, and assist with data migration.

Operations

• Build highly dependable features and systems using operational best practices such as monitoring, logging, metrics, and system-health visibility.
• Advocate for and contribute to deployment automation and operational excellence.
• Manage build pipelines and write code to collect, monitor, and display key metrics.

Security & Compliance

• Develop software with a security-first mindset using knowledge of security protocols, secure coding techniques, and protection of sensitive information (including PHI).
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential security threats.
• Implement basic security safeguards and leverage threat modeling for system-level security.

Product & User Experience

• Build features with a strong focus on usability and user experience.
• Enhance user-facing applications, create reusable interaction patterns, and support UI/UX best practices.
• Translate design goals into functional, user-facing implementations.
• Address technical and design debt based on priority and impact.

Requirements & Design

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business context and communicate technical considerations.
• Write detailed technical stories that translate business needs into clear, actionable specifications.
• Apply architectural guidance to new challenges and make cost-effective feature design decisions.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience
• Highly motivated, self-driven, and technically inquisitive, with a strong desire to learn and grow.
• Proficiency in one or more server-side programming languages (Java and Spring Boot preferred).
• Experience with one or more client-side programming languages (JavaScript and React preferred).
• Hands-on experience developing, deploying, and supporting REST services and microservices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms for storage, compute, and infrastructure as code; experience with Kubernetes and AWS is preferred.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, along with messaging systems.
• Ability to positively influence team outcomes—mentors peers, contributes to decision-making, and drives innovation.
• Strong collaboration skills with business stakeholders; experience proposing product features to enhance product value is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will design, build, and deploy software applications, services, and systems that advance the scientific capabilities of CAS Custom Services, offering expert scientific knowledge management consulting and custom informatics solutions. As a member of an Agile team, you will work closely with product owners and teammates to refine backlogs, groom epics and user stories, and prepare for upcoming sprints. Software Development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree: Computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience.

Provides Planned Maintenance (PM), safety testing, repairs, calibration, installation, routine and emergency service to general and various specialized diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment, as assigned by the Clinical Engineering (CE) Manager.

Performs PM procedures on multiple types of general and specialized clinical equipment.

Performs PM procedures using manufacturer’s recommendations, standards or code requirements, as well as industry acceptable processes as guidelines.

Performs corrective maintenance procedures including diagnosing problems using thermodynamic, electronic/electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or other sciences and documents results of activities performed to comply with all regulatory and standard requirements.

Notifies equipment users, CE Managers, and Regional Director of repair status and delays as necessary.

Interacts with clinical staff to understand and resolve operational problems in scheduling and completing PM procedures while minimizing interference to hospital departments.

Determines need for replacement parts and supplies, selects the most cost effective source, and submits properly completed parts request using established policies and guidelines.

Completes corrective and planned maintenance work order documentation per policy.

Promotes teamwork by keeping others informed, participating effectively in group decision making, works to accomplish team objectives and projects, and solicits feedback about one's effectiveness as a team member.

Continually improves processes by seeking ways to eliminate and reduce waste.

Has authority (based on department guidelines)  to order parts and supplies required for emergency service or repair  of medical equipment. Recommends test equipment and spare equipment parts to the CE Manager or Lead Technician.

Provides on-call service coverage after normal business hours on a rotating basis, as assigned.

Provides assistance and training to Bio-Medical Equipment Technician I as assigned by Clinical Engineering Management.

May be assigned duties as Lead Bio-Medical Equipment Technician, as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned or requested by the CE Manager.

Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.

Associates of Applied Sciences degree in medical electronics, electronic technology or related field, including comparable military training or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CBET certification preferred.

Three (3) to five (5) years' experience  performing corrective and planned maintenance on medical devices and/or clinical support equipment. 

Must have a basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

Working knowledge and ability to use basic hand tools and  test equipment specific to the field.  Ability to train CE associates  on use and application of select test equipment.

Must have knowledge and understanding of OSHA, NFPA, The Joint Commission, CAHO, EOC, FDA and other specific regulations and standards pertaining to clinical equipment service and repair.

Brooksource is hiring a CAD Drafter to support one of our Engineering Services partners in Columbus, OH. We welcome entry-level candidates, this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow your CAD drafting skills within a supportive engineering team.In this role, you will create underground construction drawings to support utility installation projects across multiple states.

Preferred Experience: There will be on the job training

• Basic experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD
• Familiarity with Civil 3D is a plus.
• Understanding of drafting standards through coursework or hands-on projects.
• Ability to perform 2D drafting, including drawing multiple views
• Comfortable using modern computers, software, and digital workflows.
• Exposure to GIS, surveying, or engineering technology coursework is helpful but not required.
• Ability to learn foundational Outside Plant (OSP) concepts such as conduit routes, cable paths, manholes, handholes, and aerial/underground utility layouts.

Education:

• High School diploma required
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or a related technical certificate, preferred
