Pulmonary Unit:
Med Surg unit. Total of 37 beds. The Pulmonary Unit provides care to patients with general medical conditions and patients with respiratory illnesses. The 4100/4200 Units specialize in the care of respiratory and general medical issues. This unit has the capacity to care for ventilator patients and telemetry monitoring, as well as other high-acuity respiratory conditions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides high-quality, patient-centered clinical care
- Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient, utilizing appropriate data (i.e., physical, psychological, educational, and risk-screen data appropriate for the chronological/developmental age of the patient).
- Communicates and documents the assessment of the patient with the interdisciplinary team. Utilizes all available resources in order to meet the needs of the patient and family.
- Develops and documents plan of care, treatment, and services which are individualized and appropriate for the patient's needs, strengths, limitations, and goals.
- Complies with organizational policies, procedures, and protocols, including policies governing safety, medication administration, and documentation.
- Revises plan of care based on ongoing evaluations and updates documentation appropriately.
- Completes at least one clinical research utilization (CRU) form for submission to the Nursing Research Department, utilizing a research article from the last 5 years from research performed in the United States.
Compliance
- Completes a minimum of 5 nationally approved contact hours (CNE or CEU) per year.
- Completes mandatory in-services and health screens in a timely manner.
- Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Cardiovascular Unit – 2100
The Cardiovascular Unit is an 18 bed cardiac nursing unit that includes telemetry, wound care, vascular, and cardiac specialty patients. This unit also has a mix of medical and surgical patients.
Our team of seasoned and experienced nurses provides mentorship and support to new staff, working together to drive critical thinking through complex medical situations. Many of our nurses start with us and transfer to higher acuity areas, feeling confident they have gained a solid foundation. For those that stay and continue their career with us, we help them sharpen and hone their nursing skills, always offering continuing education and support.

- Design and optimize custom diamond cutting tools (geometry, edge prep, application tuning).
- Engineer advanced fixturing/workholding systems to ensure alignment and repeatability.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to improve tool performance and lifecycle.
Machine Performance & Controls Optimization
- Analyze machine dynamics including vibration, spindle behavior, and thermal effects.
- Perform PID tuning and motion control optimization.
- Troubleshoot process deviations using structured root cause analysis.
Technical Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with Quality, Metrology, and Production teams to ensure inspection alignment.
- Drive improvements in cycle time, yield, and process capability.
- Provide technical mentorship to diamond turning technicians across shifts.
Maintenance & Process Governance
- Ensure preventative maintenance and machine condition monitoring.
- Maintain rigorous process documentation and parameter control.
- Uphold precision manufacturing safety and cleanliness standards.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of diamond turning experience in ultra-precision manufacturing.
- Advanced proficiency in Diffsys and Mastercam.
- Proven expertise in diamond tool design and optimization.
- Experience designing advanced fixturing for tight-tolerance components.
- Strong knowledge of motion control systems and PID tuning.
- Demonstrated ability to improve process capability and surface quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in optical component manufacturing.
- CNC machining and advanced metrology experience.
- Experience with closed-loop compensation strategies or automation integration.
