This role will oversee the execution of complex, technically driven initiatives involving cloud-native platforms, AI-enabled mission systems, and secure software delivery within classified environments. The ideal candidate brings experience managing engineering teams supporting secure AWS/GovCloud infrastructure, DevSecOps environments, and space system mission management /command-and-control programs. This individual will serve as the operational bridge between engineering, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with mission objectives.


RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):

  • Lead day-to-day program execution and customer delivery for classified, cloud-based and mission-support systems.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, deliverables, and risk across cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Coordinate closely with DevOps, platform, AI/ML, and software engineering teams supporting secure AWS and Kubernetes environments to facilitate Agile ceremonies and drive accountability across sprint cycles and release milestones.
  • Identify and mitigate program risks, escalating critical issues to leadership as needed.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, and executive-level briefings.
  • Interface directly with government stakeholders, ensuring program alignment with mission requirements, contract scope and security constraints.
  • Coordinate with engineering team members to ensure compliance with classified environment protocols and security standards.
  • Support resource planning, staffing coordination, and long-term roadmap development.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess an active Department of Defense TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience managing technical programs in classified or federal environments.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based or DevSecOps-driven programs (AWS C2E or other regulated cloud environments, Kubernetes, CI/CD environments).
  • Experience managing projects with Agile methodologies and modern software development lifecycles.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional technical teams.
  • Experience interfacing with government customers in classified settings.
  • Strong risk management, stakeholder communication, and executive reporting skills.


PREFERED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience supporting national security space, command & control, or space mission management systems.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML-enabled mission platforms or advanced analytics systems.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or equivalent certification.
  • Prior experience working with or supporting NRO, DoD, or IC customers.
