The Abstractor's main responsibility is to ensure that all land rights are accurate and correct in order to proceed with the design phase of engineering projects. Daily responsibilities include running title documents to ensure accuracy, researching easement documents, researching paths sent via GIS using internal software, and confirm the correct landowners and accurate chain of title to ensure the project scope can be met by engineering.
