Welder Lead Job Summary:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to setting up work sites for hot work, hot work chits, gas free certifications and fire watch coordination. Determines material requirements for repairs. Reads and works from basic work specifications and drawings. Manages welders and fitters to accomplish the scope of work provided, meet schedule deadlines, and comply with safety requirements. Inspects welder fit up prior to welding, documents fit up on the inspection log, coordinates NDT inspections with QA, accomplish 009-06 inspections, submits Inspection deficiency reports and conditions found reports. Required Qualifications

• Must be familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1, and have experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability.

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Engineering, or a similar field
• Working knowledge of Procore document control system.

• Prepare electrical drawings using primarily Revit software from verbal or written direction from BIM Detailer. AutoCad is used for some drawing deliverables.
• Review work to ensure accuracy and make corrections to work from red lines.
• Create as-Built drawings at conclusion of projects

Experience:

• 5+years in BIM drafting in the electrical industry
