The Production Manager, Heavy Steel Fabrication, 2nd Shift is a manufacturing leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, throughput, and safety across multiple departments in a heavy steel fabrication environment. This Production Manager position focuses on lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, labor planning, and fabrication efficiency while leading cross functional teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. The role requires strong engineering acumen, experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing, and the ability to manage complex production processes on a 2nd shift schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple production departments within a heavy steel fabrication facility, ensuring safe and efficient operations across assigned shifts
- Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, waste reduction, Kaizen events, and continuous improvement programs to increase throughput and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with Production Scheduling to execute manufacturing schedules and proactively identify capacity gaps, bottlenecks, and process constraints
- Plan and allocate labor resources to optimize productivity, minimize downtime, and meet fabrication and delivery deadlines
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators such as safety, quality, on time delivery, scrap reduction, and cost control
- Ensure teams operate within established fabrication plans, welding procedures, and quality standards, while implementing process improvements as needed
- Maintain compliance with Environmental Health and Safety regulations, enforce EHS policies, and promote a strong safety culture on the production floor
- Coach, mentor, and develop area leads and production supervisors, conducting performance evaluations and supporting employee development
- Partner with Human Resources on recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations matters
- Maintain accurate production documentation, reporting metrics, and operational records to support manufacturing performance analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or Associate degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in heavy steel fabrication, structural steel manufacturing, or industrial manufacturing environments
- Strong background in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and process optimization
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing operational improvement programs that increase efficiency and throughput
- Knowledge of production planning, capacity planning, labor management, and manufacturing cost control
- Experience leading production teams, supervisors, and hourly employees in a fast paced fabrication setting

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Description

SCOPE OF WORK
Duties and Responsibilities
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary.
Understands, implements, maintains and assists the processing of millions of gallons of wastewater entering the plant and following various biological, mechanical and chemical processes to return treated waters meeting state and federal safety standards back into the environment.
Performs routine to complex maintenance and repair duties of water equipment and facilities; collects water samples for testing; performs and records chemical adjustments and laboratory sampling and testing; ascertains treatment performance and quality; monitors and sets chlorine machinery to obtain proper chemical usage readings; operates and maintains pump stations; records daily pump readings, records flows, time of flows, pressures, and chemical usage.
Performs clerical duties, data entry, process control, calculations and runs quantitative and qualitative analysis and interprets data for performance evaluation.
Runs vacuum building system; collects samples from off sight station; receives chemical deliveries on and off sight; maintains and monitors backwash filter.
Checks plant equipment and troubleshoots plant problems; diagnoses, troubleshoots and writes work orders when a malfunction has been discovered; performs frequent rounds checking the status of water and wastewater treatment units, tanks and machines; performs a variety of routine cleaning activities in order to ensure the safety and cleanliness of facility/treatment plant; proper start up and shut down of different tanks and pumps according to conditions and supervisor directives; resets plant to proper operating conditions caused by storms and power outages.
Computes a variety of work orders to document treatment plant activity, request maintenance, repairs, and compile statistics for periodic reports.
Monitors treatment plant operations to ensure compliance with State and County regulations standards and verifies process is operating efficiently and effectively; checks on storage and inventory of chemicals.
Performs related work as assigned.

Who we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a BIM Technician to be based out of Tampa, FL reporting to the Drafting Manager. This person will be responsible for working with the project team to develop accurate and complete modeling drawing sets. The BIM Technician will ensure the integrity of project drawings while maintaining privileged information per the customer and company requirements.
What you'll do:
- Accurately identify product specifications and understand of detail assemblies and their application for installation.
- Create or revise/update construction drawings, maintaining a tracking log of drawings.
- Review drawings for accuracy and scope of work, ensuring quality of final drawings.
- Collaborate with team and customers to ensure that projects are successfully completed, and best practices/technical issues are addressed.
- Run the multi trade coordination for clashes to assist project team with the design process.
- Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks Manage.
- Research ways to continuously improve our process including providing insight into new time saving methodologies and best practices.
- Manage, maintain, and update BIM Project documents.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's (preferred) or Associates Degree in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) related field with 1 to 3 years of industry experience.
- 1+ years' experience in 3D Revit or 3D AutoCAD.
- Technical certificates in Drafting and ED BIM Modeling training (preferred).
- Experience with Autodesk Revit, CAD, and BIM procedures (Preferred).
- Familiarity with Overhead coordination process including 3D Modeling utilizing Revit in project environment, Project As-builts and turnover for Facility management.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, CAD and BIM systems including Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit Suite, BIM 360, Veo, Bluebeam, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Within 3 months, you'll:
- Complete the onboarding material and training on companies' products and drafting processes.
- Collecting information from multiple plans and incorporating them into a model which can be used to build structural support.
- Produce 2D shop drawings and 3D models projects with assistance of PM and BIM Designer.
- Complete Atkore Immersion process.
Within 6 months, you'll:
- Communicate effectively with PM's and other team members in order to gather the information needed for each project.
- Develop strong knowledge of the companies' products and produce accurate designs based on each project needs.
- Assist with BIM Designer to coordination meeting and be part of BIM project development at different phases: modeling, cleaning clashes and producing shop drawings.
Within 12 months, you'll:
- Produce structural models and drawings using Revit and manage coordination projects.
- Manipulate and develop CAD library components for AutoCAD and Revit or other related software.
- Independently handle BIM project from start to finish by assisting to BIM Coordination, performing clash detection, and resolving coordination issues.
