Job Description
The Design Manager position at Engineered Facades reports directly to the Director of Design and Engineering. The Design Manager coordinates and exercises functional planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility.

Requirements

Job Summary
The Design Engineering Manager (DEM) performs a variety of management, design, and drafting activities including structural analysis and design, preparing fabrication and installation drawings for construction projects, material order and project management. The DEM will take a construction project from start to finish for all engineering-related activities. The DEM reports to the Executive Vice President and should have the potential of working into a senior manager role.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform structural analysis and prepare design analyses on concrete foundations, towers, bridges, hanger systems, and other structural elements of a construction project.
• Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings, and site layout drawings.
• Conduct surveying and layout at construction projects.
• Direct other engineers through projects.
• Work directly with and aid in managing the manufacturing shop processes.

The current full-time salary range for this position is $75,301 - $199,722. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley is generating a new applicant pool of qualified temporary instructors and invites applications for a lecturer position to teach courses in our department in the areas of Energy, Civil Infrastructure and Climate; Constructions Systems; Environmental Engineering; GeoSystems Engineering; Structural Engineering, Mechanics and Materials; Systems (Civil Systems); and Transportation Engineering.
This pool is being generated in case of need to accommodate upcoming course needs and new applicants. We plan to hire for the Spring semester, Summer Sessions , and the Fall semester, if the need arises. Candidates under consideration will be contacted by our department. POSITION PURPOSE

RESPONSIBILITIES
