The Work You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Set up and operate NC/CNC milling machines
- Run multiple machines simultaneously when cycle times allow
- Load programs, adjust offsets, and monitor machining processes
- Machine aerospace components to tight tolerances
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and NC instructions
- Perform in-process and final inspections
- Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions
- Complete basic data entry for labor tracking
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Unit Description: R6 is a 24 bed Medical Surgical unit. It specializes in Orthopedics, Trauma, and Stroke/Neurology. Included in our 24 beds, we have a 10 bed Joint Care Center, where they have their total joint replacement patients. Because we specialize in caring for shorter stay surgical patients, we tend to have one of the higher discharge/admission rates in our facility. We currently have a Full Time Night Shift position available.
On-Call: Not Required
Incentives: $10,000 Sign on bonus. Subject to tax withholdings and also prorated for any part time positions.

Unit Description: R5 is a unit that specializes in Oncology and End of Life care. We work closely with our Palliative care team, whose office is located on R5. Oncology care ranges from, symptom management, radiation, Chemo (IV and oral), medication side effects and Oncological Emergencies. When starting on R5 you will not be required to hang IV chemo for the first 6 months to one year. When you become comfortable with the R5 population we will train you in chemo administration. We currently have a Full Time (36hr/wk) Night Shift position available.

Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Plattsburgh, NY. Interested?
Here's what you'd do:
- This Scope of Work outlines the responsibilities and expected deliverables of the Manufacturing Tooling & Data Management Specialist.
- Over the course of this 6-month assignment, the contractor will support the manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams by organizing tooling assets, updating and maintaining engineering drawings, and ensuring accurate linkage and item setup within the GSI (Global Shop Information) system.
- Perform a comprehensive inventory of all manufacturing tooling, including fixtures, dies, gauges, jigs, and specialty tools.
- Establish and maintain a structured organization system with labeling, storage standards, and tracking methodology.
- Record tooling attributes such as part number associations, condition, calibration requirements, and usage history.
- Implement or improve a check-in/check-out system for tooling management.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering to validate tooling availability and identify gaps or replacements needed.
- Drawing Update & Document Control Support.
- Review current engineering drawings to verify accuracy, revision levels, and alignment with production requirements.
- Perform updates to drawings as directed by engineering - including minor drafting changes, annotation updates, revision adjustments, and document cleanup.
- Ensure all drawing changes follow internal document control procedures.
- Upload and maintain revised drawings in the document management system with proper metadata, revision tracking, and linkage to relevant part numbers.
- Identify and assist with the removal or archiving of obsolete or superseded drawings.
- GSI System Data Entry & Item Linking
- Enter and maintain accurate item data, tooling records, and drawing metadata within the GSI system.
- Link relevant drawings, tooling, and specifications to the correct part numbers and BOMs.
- Audit existing item records for accuracy, completeness, and proper linkage.
- Correct inconsistencies or gaps within the GSI database per defined standards.
- Support improvements to naming conventions, standard attributes, and classification hierarchy.
- Completed tooling inventory and status assessment.
- Initial audit of GSI item records with a gap report.

Job Details Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer The Manufacturing Process Engineer will lead and optimize production processes while integrating business insights to enhance operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes and workflows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including design, quality, operations, and supply chain—to ensure smooth and efficient production.
Analyze production metrics and KPIs to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies.
Participate in budgeting, cost analysis, and ROI evaluations for process improvements and capital projects.
Work closely with internal business units to ensure manufacturing strategies support broader organizational objectives.
Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, process maps, standard work instructions, and training materials.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field; a business-focused minor or dual degree is a plus.
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, GD&T, quality systems, cost control, and project management.
Proficiency with CAD/CAM tools, ERP systems, and data analysis platforms (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Working Conditions: Primarily based in a manufacturing facility with exposure to standard production-floor conditions.
Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas.
Occasional travel may be required for training, supplier visits, or project support.
