CORPORATE PARALEGAL
San Rafael, CA
Compensation: $35 – 45/hour (DOE)
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am - 5pm
Work Arrangement: Onsite 5 days per week initially; potential hybrid flexibility once the candidate proves performance
Position Overview
Seeking an organized, proactive Corporate Paralegal to support the firm's corporate, real estate, and trusts & estates practice groups. Looking for someone who takes ownership, anticipates needs, and thrives in a structured, detail-oriented environment.
What They Will Be Doing
- Open new client matters, conduct conflict checks, prepare engagement agreements
- Communicate with clients, counsel, and third parties to coordinate meetings and gather information
- Draft, proofread, and file transactional documents (purchase & sale agreements, grant deeds, leases, stock certificates)
- Maintain stock ledgers, minute books, closing binders, and other corporate records
- Track and calendar trademark registrations and key deadlines
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic files
- Provide general administrative support as needed
What They're Looking For
- 2+ years of transactional/corporate paralegal experience
- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
- Strong formatting, proofreading, and document management skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively
- Proactive and solutions-oriented
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat (DocuSign and Clio a plus)
Location: San Rafael and Aliso Viejo, CA Offices (flexible with remote, hybrid, or on-site)
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: 250k+ (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities
- Manage litigation cases from inception through resolution, including trial or settlement.

- Develop case strategies, conduct legal research, and draft motions, pleadings, and contracts.
- Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions (ADR).
- Collaborate closely with partners and clients to deliver exceptional representation.
- Handle a variety of cases in a fast‑paced, high‑stakes litigation practice.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in California.
- Minimum of 8 years of litigation experience, preferably in bankruptcy, real estate, or landlord‑tenant.
- Strong courtroom advocacy, negotiation skills, and legal research abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Experience working with lenders, mortgage brokers, or business clients is a plus.
