About the Role
The MEP Electrical Engineer and Senior MEP Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, documentation, and coordination of electrical building systems for commercial, institutional, and mixed use projects. Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities for both roles include:
• Conceptualize electrical systems and communicate design strategies to clients and stakeholders
• Develop high quality construction documents and technical specifications
• Perform engineering calculations including load analysis, short circuit studies, voltage drop, feeder sizing, generator sizing, and lighting power density
• Design emergency power systems and prepare associated documentation

Qualifications
MEP Electrical Engineer
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in MEP building design
• Experience across multiple project phases from schematic design through construction administration
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA codes, and applicable building codes

Senior MEP Electrical Engineer

The Project Engineer II will be responsible for providing technical support during the detailed engineering & construction stage of projects and will be exposed to all aspects of projects. Traveling on average once a week should be expected.
Location
This role would be supporting our projects in California and would be required to be a hybrid role out of one of our offices (Mountain View, CA,San Diego, CA, Los Angeles, CA. or New York, NY)
Responsibilities
Design and engineer commercial and small utility-scale solar PV projects
Communicate with utilities on an ongoing basis
Stay up-to-date on code and policy changes that impact system design
Coordinate cadence with customer during design phase and construction phase
Coordinate design package with Engineering firms
Coordinate with vendors and lead procurement of materials
Perform inspections during the installation process
Oversee commissioning process
Assist in close out of projects with utility
Perform production analysis for PV systems
Assist Business Development team with pre-contract due diligence
Qualifications
Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil or Electrical preferred) or related major
2-3 years of experience
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills
Proficient in Helioscope, AutoCAD, PVSyst and Excel
Understands permitting & interconnection process
Basic understanding of financial modeling and incentive programs
Experience with Procore and Salesforce a plus
Computer Skills preferred: Salesforce, Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Project knowledge, CRM, and Smartsheet

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $88,560 - $108,240 annually. This position is eligible for PowerFlex's comprehensive Health and Welfare plans including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off. The total compensation for this position may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable). PowerFlex's compensation packages carefully consider a candidate's qualifications, experiences, and education in relation to the position.
Physical Requirements
Remaining in a seated position. Long hours on the computer keyboard. Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25 pounds regularly/occasionally.
Working Conditions
95% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 5% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors' and/or internal customers' sites in addition to attending various conferences and meetings.

As a Sr. Electrical Test Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of the avionics engineering team. We develop the wide variety of computing, sensing and actuation, power, and communications systems that are at the core of our automation system. We're looking for a broadly experienced individual to apply their electrical engineering and software automation skills to develop robust test solutions for complex hardware in a safety-critical environment. This is a clean-slate opportunity to grow our primitive test operations into a production worthy operation.
Responsibilities
Lead the development of automated test equipment systems for functional, environmental qualification, and manufacturing acceptance tests
Analyze test results to identify failure modes, lead root cause investigations, and drive improvements back into designs
Author, execute, and audit test plans, procedures, and reports
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate successful testing campaigns
Drive continuous improvement to test system infrastructure, processes, and practices
Basic Success Criteria
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent experience
8+ years of full cycle electronics hardware test or development experience in a professional environment
Strong knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals
Extensive experience with test equipment, measurement techniques, and processes for hardware verification
Experience with programming/scripting languages (C, C++, Python) and ability to develop and maintain test software
Preferred Criteria
Advanced degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering
Familiarity with formal industry test standards such as RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-461/810, or similar
Experience developing and simulating complex and manufacturable printed circuit board assemblies using tools such as Altium Designer and SPICE
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as a leader of a high performing team
This role provides an opportunity to own a wide variety of testing that is essential in verifying the safe and reliable operation of the next generation of avionics for unmanned aircraft systems. This role also has the potential to lead into a leadership role in a player/coach capacity.
