Senior Project Engineer
Job Description
Pay Rate: $80
- $100/HR Summary: Location: Fremont, CA Duration: 8 Months Local candidates only Hybrid role with 80% travel to San Jose, Cupertino, and San Carlos yards Responsibilities: Engage daily with field technicians and material leads to develop and implement workflows around gas and electric meter check-in and check-out processes.
Collaborate with software vendors to make changes to the app based on feedback and evolving workflows.
Ensure RFID readers, antennas, and handheld readers are in good working order and coordinate with partners for continuous improvement.
Work with metering OEMs to ship new meters with RFID labels and lead the existing meter tagging effort in the three yards.
Act as the main point of contact for RFP-related activities and yard expansion to San Carlos in H2 2026.
Take ownership of team milestones and help the team excel in tasks outlined in the crawl, walk, and run phases of the project.
Maintain an absolute commitment to safety and promote safety awareness among team members.
Requirements: BS in a relevant field Exceptional analytical and technical ability Proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, and other reporting tools Ability to manage time-sensitive priorities Track record of meeting and/or exceeding business commitments Experience in change management Project management or engineering experience Required Skills: Strong initiative, teamwork, accountability for results, customer focus, and sound judgment Preferred Skills: Professional Engineer or Project Management Professional License 5 years post-graduate engineering or project management experience Operations experience and new technology deployment experience
