Our Senior Embedded Real-Time Software Developer/Integrator is a technical position that works in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment to architect, design, implement, test, debug, and deploy Software for Firmware (FPGA) and Hardware solutions that meet current and next generation autonomous avionics systems’ needs. Working with a cross-discipline team, the candidate must have experience developing, testing, and integrating software for edge or embedded devices and/or subsystems (like telecom, medical, IoT, automotive, or robotics) where hardware operation, time critical function, functional reliability, mission assurance, and safety might be major concerns.

The successful candidate will work with Product Owners, Chief Engineers, Management and other IPT members using Lean and/or Agile practices to ensure that embedded software is designed and developed to reliably operate toward the intended functions.

This position is within the Effectors Center of the Software organization, and is an onsite role located in Tucson, AZ.

What You Will Do

  • Architecting, designing, implementing, testing, and debugging integrated embedded real-time software within heterogenous systems composed of firmware and hardware.

About the Role

The Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) Department in Tucson, AZ is a multi-discipline organization responsible for designing, building and integrating state of the art testing environments (flight simulators for missiles), as the last step before flight test.  On our team, you will work with weapon system designers to understand requirements, design solutions, integrate, and deploy the systems to help support tactical software development, testing, and delivery for missiles to the warfighter.

This position is within the Effectors Center of the HWIL organization, and is an onsite role located in Tucson, AZ

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop software to control Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) facilities (flight simulators for missiles).

  • Determines end user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition. Ensures hardware and software standards are met.

  • Designs and implements build procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and use.

  • Software design, coding and integration in a real-time environment.

  • May train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards. Includes control modeling (model based design)

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other STEM related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with software development in C++, using the object-oriented features.

  • Experience including at least two of the following: Embedded Software, Embedded Software Security, Embedded Operating Systems (Linux, RTOS, VxWorks, etc), Software Architecture Design and Implementation.

  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Strong organization, coordination, planning, teaming skills, as well as written and oral communication skills.

  • Experience generating technical documentation and reports.

  • Experience with RF theory and application in systems.

  • Experience with electronics design and/or conducting data analysis using tools such as Matlab.

  • Experience troubleshooting systems using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers.

  • Knowledge of networking and IP addressed based equipment.

  • Able to work and interface with a cross-discipline team.

  • Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems.

  • Agile and Scrum team member experience

  • Knowledge of or experience with software languages such as Java, C, C++, or similar languages; scripting languages such as Python and/or Perl, and MATLAB scripts for data analysis purposes.

Project Development Manager Responsibilities:


  • Identify potential customers, develop and build strong business relationships, assist in putting together a scope of work, lead in creating proposals, negotiate, and close deals.

Key Responsibilities

DLP Platform Engineering & Administration

• Own the end-to-end engineering, configuration, and operational health of Microsoft Purview DLP and other DLP platforms across endpoint, network, and cloud channels.

• Design, deploy, and maintain DLP policies that protect sensitive data including payment card information, employee PII, financial records, and proprietary business data.

• Continuously monitor, tune, and optimize DLP policies to maximize detection accuracy while aggressively reducing false positives.

• Partner with cloud engineering, endpoint management, and application teams to ensure DLP coverage extends to new technologies and business initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is required; alternatively, four years of cybersecurity experience along with an active CISSP or CISM certification will also be considered.

• 5+ years of progressive experience in data loss prevention, data protection, or a closely related security engineering discipline.

• Hands-on experience engineering and administering Microsoft Purview DLP (or legacy Microsoft 365 DLP / Microsoft Information Protection).

• Strong expertise in DLP policy design, tuning, and false positive reduction across endpoint, network, and cloud DLP channels.

• Practical experience with data classification frameworks, sensitive information types, and automated labeling in a Microsoft 365 environment.

• Experience integrating DLP platforms with SIEM solutions and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
