OVERVIEW:

The Automation Engineering Group Manager for the Water/Wastewater team in Dallas, Texas is responsible for leading a team of professionals in the programming, configuration, testing, and commissioning of HMI/PLC based industrial control systems for municipal and industrial water/wastewater clients throughout the region. The Automation Engineering Group Manager should have extensive project management, business development, and leadership capabilities. DURING YOUR WORKDAY, YOU WILL:

  • Provide managerial, technical and design services focused on all aspects of municipal and industrial automation projects, including planning, design, commissioning and construction of conveyance and treatment systems.
  • Responsibilities include managing automation personnel, directing tasks, preparing proposals, meeting with clients, growing the business, managing projects, quality control, engineering evaluations, preparing technical reports, and the overseeing of full aspects of configuring industrial control systems.
  • Actively engage in industry events by participation in professional organizations and sharing expertise through conference presentations and committee participation. Train and mentor subordinates of various levels and experience to enhance their career development.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or similar degree required with Texas PE registration or ability to quickly acquire PE through reciprocity within 6 months.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in municipal and industrial projects, specifically in the control system programming field and minimum of 3 years of experience serving in a project management capacity.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage scope, schedule and budget on projects as well as overall financial performance of a team.
  • Experience with technical writing, networking, cybersecurity, PLC programming, and HMI programming required.
  • Technically competent, a team player with excellent verbal and written communications abilities.
  • Requires a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.

The Manager - Software Quality Engineering is responsible for ensuring that quality standards are met on all materials coming into the warehouse and all products going to customers. This position plays a critical role in establishing and ensuring adherence to shop quality standards, procedures, techniques and continuous improvement. The LQAC works directly with internal and external suppliers, QACs at other facilities and corporate QA personnel. They are also a key driver of resourcing, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and participating in continuous process improvement/lean manufacturing project initiatives. Attendance, as scheduled, is an essential function of this job.



Major Activities

  • Develops, implements, communicates and maintains the company’s Quality Management System (QMS). Formulates and manages the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to the QMS and ensure that the established objectives are communicated to all team members and that advances or declines in achieving those goals are also regularly reported.
  • Sets up and maintains controls and documentation procedures including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Setup Parameters. Organizes documents into an easy to use and fast retrieval system so team members can find procedures quickly and conform to requirements.
  • Explains quality process compliance to others using a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form to help others understand, follow and conform to established best practices. Conducts root cause analysis as needed.
  • Serves as the company’s liaison to assembly plant peers (QACs) and ensures the execution of corrective action and compliance with company specifications.
  • Participates in weekly sourcing team and CAF staff meetings.
  • Notifies production leadership and GM immediately of nonconformity.
  • Prepares and presents a quarterly quality report for leadership team review. Obtains feedback from team member meetings and other such interactions and incorporates the action in moving the quality program forward.
  • Maintains master control samples and step samples in a clean and protected environment.
  • Builds and maintains good working relationships with assembly plant peers and all internal manufacturing team members and managers.
  • Cross-trains into other positions and provides support to other production teams and functions as needed.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience


Minimum Special Certifications or technical skills

  • Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel and production database systems.


Minimum Type of experience the job requires

  • 7-8 years quality assurance experience
  • Manufacturing with specific focus on wood finishing, chemicals and/or quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Specialist to join our dynamic team in Baytown, TX. The successful candidate will play a key role in the construction of civil and structural components for a major chemical plant project. This position requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective project delivery.

What You Will Do

1.Verify civil construction against drawings and specs,including drawings, specifications, and calculations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and project requirements.

2.Review contractor's on-site management plan and support construction manager to follow up the detailed execution.

3.Witness tests and inspections according, including coordination with owner's assigned testing services.

4.Review contractor's field RFIs and submittals with design team.

About You

Skills and Qualifications

1. Major in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field ; Professional Engineer (PE) license in the U.S. is highly preferred.

2.Minimum 5 years field experience with proven project experiences.

3. In-depth knowledge of U.S. civil engineering codes and standards (IBC, ACI, ASCE, ASTM) and familiarity with local building regulations in Texas (or willingness to learn state-specific requirements).

4. Proficient in using civil engineering software tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Project (or similar project management tools); experience with cost estimating software (e.g., RSMeans) is a plus.

5. Strong understanding of industrial construction processes, including foundation design, site development, utility systems, and structural steel/Concrete construction; familiarity with chemical facility EHS requirements is an advantage.

6. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing project needs in a fast-paced environment.

7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, regulatory authorities, and senior management.
