The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Life Actuary to join the Life Company's Asset Liability Management Team. This role coordinates, prepares, and performs actuarial analyses required to develop new products, project future results, reprice existing products, and/or determine financial strength.

This role is remote eligible in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel. However, individuals residing within a 60-mile radius of a USAA office will be expected to work on-site four days per week. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

• Performs complex work assignments utilizing actuarial modeling software driven models for pricing, valuation, and/or risk management.
• Reviews laws and regulations to ensure all processes are compliant; and provides recommendations for improvements and monitors industry communications regarding potential changes to existing laws and regulations.
• Runs models, generates reports, and presents recommendations and detailed analysis of all model runs to Actuarial Leadership.
• May make recommendations for model adjustments and improvements, when appropriate.
• Shares knowledge with team members and serves as a resource to team on escalated issues and navigates obstacles to deliver work product.
• Leads or participates as a key resource on moderately complex projects through concept, planning, execution, and implementation phases with minimal guidance, involving cross functional actuarial areas.
• Develops exhibits and reports that help explain proposals/findings and provides information in an understandable and usable format for stakeholders.
• Identifies and provides recommended solutions to business problems independently, often presenting recommendation to leadership.
• Maintains proper price level, price structure, data availability and other requirements to achieve profitability and competitive goals.
• Identifies critical assumptions to monitor and suggest timely remedies to correct or prevent unfavorable trends.
• Tests impact of assumptions by identifying sources of gain and loss, the appropriate premiums, interest margins, reserves, and cash values for profitability and viability of new and existing products.
• Advises management on issues and serves as a primary resource for their individual team members on escalated issues.
• Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

• Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree. (Total of 8 years of experience without bachelor's degree)

• 4 years relevant actuarial or analytical experience and attainment of Fellow within the Society of Actuaries (Bachelor's degree + 4 years of experience + FSA)

• OR 8 years relevant actuarial or analytical experience and attainment of Fellow within the Society of Actuaries (FSA)

• Experience performing complex work assignments utilizing actuarial modeling software driven models for pricing, valuation, and/or risk management.

• Demonstrated experience communicating complex actuarial analysis and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.

Job Responsibilities

1. Independent Design of Scroll Compressor Core Components: Lead the structural design of scroll compressor core components (orbit & fix scroll), including innovative design/optimization of scroll profiles, structural strength/stiffness, and technical drawings.

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration for Manufacturing: Collaborate closely with machining, quality, and supplier teams to deeply participate in process discussion and formulation, ensuring machining precision and final quality meet design specifications.

3. Performance Optimization & Reliability Validation: Conduct performance optimization iteration of scroll components based on simulation analysis and experimental test results, and comprehensively evaluate/verify long-term reliability of designs.

4. Failure Analysis & Improvement: Take charge of in-depth failure mechanism analysis for scroll plate failure cases from engineering tests or market feedback, and develop/implement effective improvement solutions.

5. Knowledge Transfer & Team Development: Document personal design experience to compile scroll design standards and guidelines, organize internal technical training regularly, and support team growth to enhance overall scroll design capabilities.

Qualifications

1. Education: Master's degree or above.

2. Major: Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Machinery, Engineering Mechanics, Refrigeration Engineering, or related fields.

Role Overview

Noble 33 is a premier national restaurant group dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences through innovative design and operational excellence. The Construction Project Manager role oversees construction from early planning through turnover, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest brand and quality standards.

This role partners closely with internal teams and external partners to support Noble 33's multi-unit growth and reinvestment strategy while building scalable processes that drive efficiency, consistency, and long-term asset performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of construction for new restaurant openings and capital projects.
• Support project goals through early feasibility assessments, cost estimating, value engineering, and risk mitigation.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality benchmarks to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
• Provide clear, consistent reporting to senior leadership on project status, budgets, schedules, risks, and key performance indicators.
• Build scalable construction processes, standards, tools and reporting to support a multi-unit growth pipeline.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency in construction methods and project delivery.
• Lead bidding, estimating, contract negotiation, and procurement efforts to reduce build costs and maintain schedules.
• Oversee active construction sites to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and brand standards.
• Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize delays, cost overruns, and operational impact.
• Implement quality assurance and inspections processes to ensure consistency across projects.
• Ensure smooth turnover to Operations with a focus on long-term asset management and facility performance.
• Partner closely with Design, Operations, and Finance to align project execution and business objectives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of construction management experience in a multi-unit restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
• Strong understanding of building systems, particularly MEP as it relates to food service.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, estimating, and scheduling.
• Proven success negotiating construction contracts and leading external partners.
• Knowledge of building codes, OSHA, NSF, and local jurisdictional requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Procore and Bluebeam.
• Willingness to travel to various Noble 33 locations as needed, estimated 50% travel.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• PMP or other relevant certifications preferred.
