TITLE: Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking a Cleared Project Manager to support a commercial Agentic AI software company implementing high-visibility national security space programs. This role will oversee the execution of complex, technically driven initiatives involving cloud-native platforms, AI-enabled mission systems, and secure software delivery within classified environments. The ideal candidate brings experience managing engineering teams supporting secure AWS/GovCloud infrastructure, DevSecOps environments, and space system mission management /command-and-control programs. This individual will serve as the operational bridge between engineering, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with mission objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):
- Lead day-to-day program execution and customer delivery for classified, cloud-based and mission-support systems.
- Manage project scope, schedule, deliverables, and risk across cross-functional engineering teams.
- Coordinate closely with DevOps, platform, AI/ML, and software engineering teams supporting secure AWS and Kubernetes environments to facilitate Agile ceremonies and drive accountability across sprint cycles and release milestones.
- Identify and mitigate program risks, escalating critical issues to leadership as needed.
- Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, and executive-level briefings.
- Interface directly with government stakeholders, ensuring program alignment with mission requirements, contract scope and security constraints.
- Coordinate with engineering team members to ensure compliance with classified environment protocols and security standards.
- Support resource planning, staffing coordination, and long-term roadmap development.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess an active Department of Defense TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience managing technical programs in classified or federal environments.
- Experience supporting cloud-based or DevSecOps-driven programs (AWS C2E or other regulated cloud environments, Kubernetes, CI/CD environments).
- Experience managing projects with Agile methodologies and modern software development lifecycles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional technical teams.
- Experience interfacing with government customers in classified settings.
- Strong risk management, stakeholder communication, and executive reporting skills.
PREFERED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities
- Support the successful delivery of Digital Engineering, Virtual Design & Construction, and Plan + Control for Suffolk’s Mission Critical business.
- Demonstrate an ability to meet project specific deadlines for both the team and the individual
- Laser Scanning & Registration - perform field-based capture of 3D spatial point cloud data using laser scanners for use in existing conditions BIM development and the construction QA/QC
- Surveying - perform field-based project control using Total Stations to maintain accuracies in the laser scanning and photogrammetry processes; perform QA/QC and layout on various construction projects
- Photogrammetry - perform field-based drone photography and 3D photogrammetry data capture. Requires successful passing of the FAA Part 107 UAS Operator Exam
- Applicants must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position which may include:
- Lifting of equipment (10-25 pounds)
- Occasional confined space work
- Extended periods of standing
- Exposure to outdoor elements (cold, rain, snow, heat)

Qualifications

PURPOSE:
Develops and Implements strategy for the company's product line and is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision. May also manage beta programs, manage the development of product marketing materials and technical documentation. Ensure new products align with and supports existing products where applicable.
20% Leverages research market research as inputs into the product roadmap to confirm market demand. 20% Defines the product roadmap showing the value derived at each delivery of functionality milestones. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for all of the duties performed by the Project Manager as well as the following: Responsibilities: Maintains adherence to HITT’s standards of safety Ensures the all job processes are followed in accordance with HITT policies Negotiates terms and conditions of contracts with clients Monitors the progress of each project through updated schedules Ensures that the project Quality Control Plan is followed Assists that project staff in resolving scope problems with subcontractors Ensures proper assignment and evaluation of field personnel both within the project team and throughout the company Identifies and negotiates time extensions where justified and allowed Acquires new work as well as maintaining existing clients Maintains positive relationships with the subcontractor community Ensures timely completion of closeout process Leads the preconstruction and RFP package effort with the help of the Preconstruction Department and/or other company resources Delegates responsibility when necessary to ensure that the project/tasks run smoothly Qualifications: 10+ years of experience with a commercial general contractor A four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
In lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable.

Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager
- GovDirect Job Description: An Assistant Project Manager (APM) obtains, evaluates, coordinates and distributes the information and authorizations necessary to construct projects on time, within budget and to the quality specified.
The APM is responsible to protect and promote the interest of both the business and client in all matters as well as demonstrate the personal characteristics of a beginner-level leader.
