MHS is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this unique and life-changing career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home. Flex Houseparents play a vital role in creating a structured, family-like environment that fosters students’ academic, emotional, and social development so they can reach their full potential.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing daily supervision and mentorship

Fairview is seeking an experienced Hospitalist Physician Assistant to perform triage work in the System Operations Center (SOC) at Fairview Midway Campus in St. Paul, MN. The SOC Advanced Practice Provider Triage Hospitalist plays a critical role in facilitating timely and appropriate placement of patients across M Health Fairview's nine metro hospitals?including our quaternary academic medical center, children's hospital, tertiary hospitals, and community hospitals. This role ensures optimal utilization of system resources by coordinating with patient placement nurses, specialists, and admitting providers to triage and assign patients to maximize efficient resource utilization.
Practice Details:
- FTE: flexible from 0.23-0.91
- FTE structured to complement current clinical Hospitalist role
- Rotating 8-week block integrated with clinical site responsibilities/schedule
- Shift Lengths: Evening (1 PM?11 PM), and Weekend (9 AM?9 PM every fourth weekend, aligned with a weekday stretch), and eventual Daytime (8 AM?6 PM) as we expand and fully staff the service
- Serve as the clinical coordinator for triaging interfacility transfers and direct admissions across the Fairview system
- Assess clinical appropriateness of transfer requests and determine optimal destination based on acuity, capacity, and site capabilities
- Collaborate with SOC Patient Placement Specialists (PPS), hospital medicine and ICU triage physicians, and site based ANS to ensure seamless patient flow

- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in data review to enhance transfer efficiency and patient outcomes
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) in the state of Minnesota
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a hospitalist APP within the Fairview system
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to synthesize complex medical information quickly
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Familiarity with EPIC and system-level patient placement workflows
