Day-to-Day Responsibilities As a physiatrist, you will round at 1?3 Skilled Nursing Facilities or similar rehabilitation centers, 1?3 days per week at each location. Your primary focus will be delivering specialized physiatry care to 25+ patients per day who are experiencing difficulty participating in therapy due to pain or functional limitations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing focused assessments and developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with facility primary care teams to optimize therapy participation and functional recovery.
- Providing targeted interventions such as joint injections, Botox treatments, dry needling, and medication management based on patient-specific needs.
- Serving as the sole physiatrist on-site, operating with a high level of autonomy while supported by a collaborative clinical team for consultation as needed.
