As a Systems Architect at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of the Systems team and will report to the Systems & Safety Manager. The Systems & Safety Team is responsible for architecting systems which support novel safety-critical functions, establishing development methodologies for new technologies, and complying with the federal regulations.

As part of an experienced multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to expanding the aircraft's operational and functional capabilities. Your professional experience in system design and development will further strengthen the team's ability to meet rigorous expectations of stakeholders and certification authorities. You will collaborate with members from other groups within Reliable Robotics to architect new and novel systems necessary for unmanned aircraft operations.

Responsibilities

In your role as a Systems Architect you will be responsible for the development and architectural design of prototypes and certifiable safety-critical flight systems in a dynamic start-up work environment.

You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Define new/novel functions necessary to control autonomous aircraft and manage contingencies

  • Define the relationship between the vehicle, pilot, and support system for remotely operated autonomous aircraft

  • Perform the decomposition of aircraft, system and LRU functions, define the system physical / logical architecture and allocate functionality

  • Perform trades studies to assess performance, complexity, risk, and cost of competing technical solutions

  • Work closely with system and safety analysts to define system architectural features to meet safety and security requirements

  • Derive and validate requirements and interfaces based on the architecture to ensure correct and complete implementation at the next design level

  • Support product development all the way through development up to production, test, and certification

You'll also have the opportunity to interact with other domains within Reliable Robotics and become involved in a broad task spectrum not limited to typical system engineering activities.

Basic Success Criteria

  • Bachelor's Degree of Science or Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related discipline, or equivalent experience at a minimum

  • Broad experience from 7+ years of designing and integrating various complex safety-critical aerospace systems

  • As an Additive Manufacturing Specialist at Client, you will serve as a technical anchor for the Additive Manufacturing (AM) Lab, driving the end-to-end realization of complex autonomous vehicle prototypes.
  • Beyond standard operation, you will act as a Design-for-Manufacturability (DfM) consultant to engineering teams and internal clients, optimizing builds for high-performance materials and mission-critical throughput, unlocking new speed of prototype delivery.
  • You are responsible for the strategic health of the lab, including process optimization, equipment evaluations, planning, and the technical guidance of prototyping workflows.


Responsibilities:

  • Design Consultation & DfM: Actively support design reviews related to Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) with engineers to optimize geometries for SLA, SLS, and Polyjet; proactively identify failure risks in CAD models before they reach the build tray to minimize material waste.
  • Process Engineering: Develop and document standardized build parameters and post-processing two essential workflows: Additive Manufacturing (primary) and Laser Cutting (secondary) to ensure repeatable, high-quality output across all AM and Laser Cutting platforms.
  • Complex System Integration: Oversee the final assembly of high-fidelity prototypes, e.g. integrating 3D-printed components with CNC-machined parts and complex electronics.
  • Post processing of prototype parts: Actively guide and execute post-processing work such as sanding, painting, inserts, dyeing and other part finishing related activities.
  • Workflow Coordination: Facilitate the prioritization of incoming JIRA requests to ensure alignment with prototyping deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Working independently, responsible for the activities and monitoring of the supply chain involved in the savings programs.
  • Wearing MRP and/or manual requirements, analyzes the demand to determine the needs of the site, releasing RFQ's for price and availability.
  • Responsible for the management of all SB program requests, metrics and reports, meetings with suppliers (SBR's) 3 times
  • per year, customer service and availability to travel
  • Working independently, coordinates purchasing activities and processes purchase reqs in a timely manner.
  • Using MRP and/or manual reqs, analyzes demand to determine need, sends out RFQ's for price and availability.
  • Monitors supplier delivery.
  • Negotiates price/volume/delivery dates.
  • Processes RMA's.
  • Expedites and reschedules as necessary to meet production requirements.
  • Responsible for resolving AP/AR issues through analysis and investigation.
  • May research alternative suppliers for obsolete or long lead time parts.
  • Senior Buyers may manage implementation of engineering changes, interpretation of procurement policies, process improvement projects, contract negotiation and approval of PPV's.

Education: Engineering, Administration or Commerce

Experience:

2-8 years’ experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain.

3 years experience buying metals for a machine shop

Knowledge:

Management of Oracle, M3K, Knowledge of key metrics in the purchasing area, negotiation with suppliers, Flexibility Programs (VMI, VCI,830, etc..), Knowledge of MRP and production processes

As a Flight Controls Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be part of the Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Team. You will design, implement, integrate, and test flight control laws for all phases of operation including autotaxi, auto-takeoff, autoland, and automatic rollout. You integrate real-world hardware and C/C++ flight software as part of ongoing flight test programs, and perform simulation analysis and data reduction in our Python and C/C++ modeling & simulation environment.

Responsibilities

As a Sr. Avionics Harness Technician at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of the Production organization. Responsibilities

  • Ability to lift 25-pound boxes to a height of 3-4 feet, with or without reasonable accommodation
