We are seeking an experienced Piping Designer to lead the design and engineering of integrated piping systems for data centre liquid cooling applications. This individual will work closely with the Business Development team to identify new opportunities, develop conceptual designs for client presentations, and collaborate with Manufacturing to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, energy-efficient, and production-ready. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and contributing to innovative solutions in mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed piping designs including 3D models, fabrication drawings, and layouts for data centre projects
• Perform piping stress analysis to ensure system integrity under varying operating conditions
• Specify piping materials, components, and fittings in line with project requirements
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and client specifications
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Commercial teams, and other stakeholders to integrate piping systems into overall project designs
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers
• Prepare and review piping specifications, bill of materials (BOM), and technical documentation
• Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• Contribute to cost estimation and ensure projects are delivered within budget and timelines

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• HNC / Degree / Postgraduate qualification in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering

Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in piping design and engineering
• Background in construction, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, oil & gas, or mission-critical environments
• Exposure to data centres or critical environments is highly desirable

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in 3D modelling and piping design software (SolidWorks, Revit, AutoCAD, PDMS, SP3D, CADWorx)
• Experience using piping stress analysis tools
• Strong knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control protocols
• Experience taking products from concept through prototype to production

Essential Functions:

• Assist in the development of the project plan as requested.

• Prepare and forward submittals. Confirm submittal complies with plans/specs.
• Support the development and updating of the project schedule and subcontractor detail schedules.
• Monitor and expedite material deliveries ensuring all deliveries conform with the project schedule.

Desired Qualifications:

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or a degree in a related discipline.

Transit Management of Central Maryland (TMCM) d.b.a. the Regional Transportation Agency (RTA) of Central Maryland manages and operates public transportation in Anne Arundel County, Howard County, Northern Prince George’s County, and the City of Laurel. RTA employs 150 administrative and operational staff out of our Annapolis Junction location.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The RTA is actively seeking an experienced Diesel Bus Mechanic Shift Supervisor. This individual will manage the work of mechanics and supervise the maintenance for our fleet of 80 transit buses and service vehicles.

This position requires the level of knowledge and skills necessary to troubleshoot and repair automotive, transit, and commercial vehicles and equipment. Must have knowledge of and ability to use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, laptops, scan tools, gauges, micrometers etc. Shift Supervisors are required to create, monitor, update and close repair orders in the company’s management system and ensure that employees are using the system effectively. Knowledge and skills using Microsoft computer programs such as Word, Excel, and Power Point are necessary. This individual must have the ability to effectively lead, work and communicate with employees and customers, and ensure repairs and maintenance are performed in a timely and efficient manner. Requirements also include daily safety inspections, with minimal reworks, and maintaining production standards. Particular attention will be paid to timeliness and quality of repairs. Shift supervisors will also be responsible for managing and leading service lane employees.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Candidates must have a high school diploma, or equivalent.
  
• A/C 609 certification required.
  
• Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License Class B or higher with Passenger (P) endorsement and no Airbrakes (L) restriction.
  
• Must have an appropriate mechanic’s tool set.
  
• Minimum of three (3) years direct automotive, heavy equipment or transit repair experience.
  
• Must have demonstrated experience monitoring and meeting PM schedules and operating automotive repair shop equipment.
  
• Must have excellent communication skills, bringing demonstrated abilities of building solid relationships with superiors, peers and subordinates.
  

Special Requirements:

• This position requires a minimum of three (3) ASE Heavy Duty/Transit related certifications. These certifications must be obtained within the first six (6) months of employment. 60; New Shift Supervisors are strongly encouraged to obtain their Heavy Duty/Transit ASE Master certification within their first two (2) years of employment through progressive testing.
  
• Forklift certification must be achieved within one (1) year of employment.

We are seeking a versatile and team-oriented Structural Project Engineer in our Structural Team, ideally located in the Syracuse or Albany, NY area, or at our Endwell, NY office. Candidates located outside the designated office locations may qualify for full remote work, subject to company policy. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. A PE is also required. Experience should include structural analysis, design, and detailing for concrete, steel, and aluminum structures. Experience with cable design is preferred.

The primary duties associated with this position include:

• The candidate should be proficient with the International Building Code (IBC); ASCE-7; ACI 318; ADM-2020; and AISC.
• Performing challenging 3-dimensional structural analyses and designs for a wide variety of clients using various state-of-the-art design software, including RISA 3D, SAP, RAM, and RISA Foundation.
• Responsible for serving as lead project engineer, i.e., taking responsibility for developing design, preparing detailed structural drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT, and specifications. This includes coordinating the work of junior team members and amongst other trades.
• Solving engineering problems using experience, judgment, and education and knowing when to ask for assistance when required.
• Write and review related reports for the services provided.
• Scoping projects and assisting project managers with proposal creation.
• Serving as a Quality Control reviewer for the designs of team members.
