This position is located within the Development department of 365 Retail Markets and reports to the Manager of Software Development. The Software Engineer role will be responsible for all aspects of software development from interpreting software requirements to coding, unit test, and documentation, mentoring other engineers, as well as supporting the release of developed software into production. The Software Developer will work with peers within a team environment to jointly develop and enhance applications within the 365 Retail Markets product suite.
Responsibilities
- Independently build, test, and maintain software features, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and performance
- Participate actively in design discussions, architecture decisions, and sprint planning with an eye toward scalability and maintainability
- Write clean, scalable, and modular code using modern frameworks and tools
- Work in an Agile development environment, actively participating in stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps, UX/UI, and Product Management to ensure successful feature delivery
- Take ownership of small-to-medium-sized projects or features from design to release
- Contribute to and enforce best practices in code reviews, testing, and documentation
- Implement and maintain unit, integration, and functional tests as part of a CI/CD process
- Assist in identifying and reducing technical debt through refactoring and optimization
- Participate in on-call rotations and production issue resolution as needed
- Support and mentor junior developers when needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Kotlin and familiarity with frameworks like Spring Boot, React
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Staff Base Software Engineer – OS & Middleware to lead the architecture, design, integration, and optimization of embedded Linux operating systems and middleware platforms for next-generation Telematics Control Units (TCU).
This role will drive secure, scalable, and high-performance base software solutions supporting 4G/5G connectivity, GNSS, eCall, OTA updates (FOTA/SOTA), V2X, remote diagnostics, and cloud-connected vehicle services. The ideal candidate will provide strong technical leadership and ensure cybersecurity, functional safety, and ASPICE compliance across telematics platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and integration of embedded Linux OS and middleware for TCU platforms
- Define and implement secure boot, root-of-trust, secure key management, and OTA update mechanisms
- Architect and integrate 4G/5G modem, GNSS, and secure cloud communication stacks
- Integrate and optimize V2X communication stacks (C-V2X/DSRC)
- Drive BSP integration, kernel configuration, driver enablement, and SoC bring-up
- Design IPC frameworks, service orchestration, and system resource management
- Optimize system performance (boot time, CPU scheduling, memory footprint, storage I/O, network throughput)
- Establish performance profiling and instrumentation frameworks
- Ensure cybersecurity compliance with ISO/SAE standards and OEM specifications
- Enable vehicle network integration (CAN, Ethernet, LIN, UDS, DoIP)
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and secure software lifecycle practices
- Provide technical leadership, architecture reviews, and production sustainment support
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of embedded software development experience
- Strong programming skills in C/C++
- Direct experience with Linux-based Telematics Control Units
- BSP development, kernel configuration, and SoC bring-up expertise

Job title: Senior Program Manager Location: Plastic Omnium Auto Inergy, Troy, MI, U.S.A.
Job duties: Plan, lead, and manage revolving OEM off-road All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV), commercial van/truck fuel tank development programs for future model years and assure delivery of integrated plastic fuel tank (tank shell, rollover valve, filler spud, cam lock, and fuel line) development projects, from concept through to launch, Start of Production (SOP), and End of Production (EOP) for fuel tank production at four Plastic Omnium manufacturing plants in U.S.
(MI (2), SC (1)) and Mexico (1) for cycle life to 2029/2035 and beyond.
Plan and administer large pre-production project tooling and development budgets including acquisition of manufacturing tooling (molds, finishing centers, assembly lines, leak machine testers, gages, and blow molding machines); labor; and plant facilities construction at four U.S./Mexico manufacturing plants.
Plan, lead and manage team in US/MEX including Product Application, Industrial and Quality Engineers, Program Buyers, Sales Managers, and Plant Program Managers at fuel tank manufacturing plants.
Lead extended U.S./Mexico multifunctional team.
Travel requirements: Required travel in U.S.
and Mexico to visit OEM customers and perform internal (MI, SC, and MEX) manufacturing plant site visits to verify manufacturing process readiness, project execution, and delivery performance, up to ~6 weeks per year (equal to ~12% annual travel).
Education: Bachelor, Business Administration, Business, International or Foreign Trade, Engineering, or related.
Experience: Twenty-four months’ experience as Program or Project Manager, or related, planning and leading passenger vehicle fuel tank or system development projects or programs, and assuring delivery, from concept, to launch and Start of Production (SOP) for production at manufacturing plant, or related.
