Job Overview:

The SEO Expert is responsible for maximizing search engine rankings for B&H product/listing and landing pages, as well as increasing the overall volume of organic traffic from search engines to the B&H Website. The SEO Expert leverages data analytics to develop and deploy effective search strategies aligned with business objectives. Due To the dynamic environment produced by constant changes to search algorithms, the SEO continuously learns, tweaks skills and experiments to develop working methodologies. They will take necessary steps to stay on top of latest trends and shifts in the industry.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop a viable/robust SEO strategy based on SEO best practices and data analytics
• Conduct regular Technical and On-Page SEO audits to determine opportunities and identify areas for improvement
• Monitor and set up maintenance/alert system for when things break or are underperforming (crawlability, site structure/technical, speed, XML Sitemaps, canonical tags, meta data, redirects, etc)
• Prioritize projects, initiatives and areas of focus based on data analysis
• Conduct keyword research for individual projects
• Track and provide regular status reports on ranking positions
• Request appropriate content and/or refresh existing content to support Search engine ranking needs
• Request additions and/or modifications to existing category and/or landing pages
• Develop and implement link building and interlinking strategies
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g. Social, Buying, Categorization, IS, OLM, etc.) to support SEO related initiatives
• Provide guidance on website projects/initiatives to ensure compliance with SEO strategy and best practices

Duties & Responsibilities

Purpose of Position:

Under the direction and in collaboration with the account client, administers and directs programs to manage

building maintenance, grounds, and equipment and procure or generate utilities and their distribution systems.

Coordinates construction and renovation programs. Ensures ongoing compliance with NYC Health + Hospitals and relevant health care setting policies, and other appropriate regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develops and prepares standard methods and procedures for the implementation of maintenance systems

and operations, construction contracts, and works closely with Capital Development Team on capital projects

development.

2. Works with Capital Development Team to coordinate and recommend plans, designs, and changes in various

construction, renovation, and engineering activities. Reviews, evaluates and recommends approval of plans

for capital construction projects.

3. Provides technical assistance in review of existing maintenance and engineering procedures, service and

construction contracts, and preventive maintenance for all system properties.

4. Directs trade staff through the development of processes and procedures for the implementation of

maintenance operations, construction contracts, and capital projects.

5. Evaluates department’s projects through the development of reports, studies, and surveys detailing progress

of programs, statistical studies, and health care setting planning. Recommends improvement, as necessary.

6. Prepares and leads departmental budgets, including utilities energy savings program. Identifies and meets

staffing needs to support service delivery. Ensures operations run within budgetary guidelines.

7. Supervises work performance and prepares and/or reviews performance evaluations for assigned personnel.

Supervises flow and quality of work to ensure completion of workload and consistency to health care setting’s

standards.

8. Facilitates in-service training programs and provides departmental orientation, training, and guidance to staff.

Assesses staff training needs, evaluates the effectiveness of the program, and implements changes to provide

for more efficient operations. Oversees departmental processes for all required educational courses and

certifications.

9. Provides education on patient and public safety protocols and prevention techniques to staff, community

members, patients and caregivers.

10. Serves as a liaison with contractors, architects, engineers and material and equipment suppliers. Provides

consultative services to senior leadership and/or federal, state, and city agencies on matters pertaining to

engineering, construction, design projects and/or other engineering support programs and functions.

11. Meets with health care setting client and staff, as needed, to plan, prioritize, coordinate and/or communicate

programs and policies. Reviews and evaluates existing programs, services, policies and procedures.

Participates in regular periodic staff meetings.

12. May represent the System in certain legal matters dealing with federal, state, and city agencies.

13. Performs other related duties, as directed.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Valid license and current registration as a Professional Engineer or Architect issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED); and two (2) years of experience in the construction, architectural or engineering area, including one (1) year in design contracts and construction contracts relating to health care facilities in a responsible administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity; or

2. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Engineering or a related discipline; and three (3) years of experience in the construction, architectural or engineering area, including two (2) years in design contracts and construction contracts relating to health care facilities in a responsible administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity; or

3. High school diploma or its educational equivalent, approved by a State’s Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization; and seven (7) years of experience in the construction, architectural or engineering area; and current Certified Health Care Facility Manager (CHFM) certification issued by the American Hospital Association (AHA).

Special Note: A related Master’s Degree can be substituted for one (1) year of experience.

Job Purpose

The Engineering Manager supervises, trains, and inspects the performance of the engineering staff ensuring that all procedures are completed to property standards. The Manager schedules the work and sets the priorities of the employees of the engineering department in collaboration with the Director of Engineering. In addition, the Manager makes decisions in the absence of Director of Engineering and Assistant Director and act as the backup for emergency calls.

Duties & Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team, specializing in the creation of detailed shop drawings, fabrication models, and as-built documentation. The role focuses on translating engineering design intent into precise, constructible shop drawings and high-quality 3D models using advanced CAD/BIM software. This position plays a critical role in bridging the gap between conceptual/structural design and field fabrication/installation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient construction.

The ideal candidate has strong technical drafting and modeling skills, attention to detail, and experience producing shop drawings for fabrication and erection in structural steel, concrete, mechanical systems, or similar domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and produce detailed shop drawings (including plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules, and bills of materials) from engineering sketches, design drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
• Create, maintain, and update accurate 3D models (BIM or parametric models) using software such as Revit, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
• Generate fabrication-ready outputs, including part marks, connection details, assembly drawings, erection sequences, and material lists.

Our client, a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company, has engaged GForce Life Sciences to provide a Senior Electrical Engineer. the Professional Engineer (PE) will have expertise in electrical systems including electrical distributed power generation, feeds, distribution, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power, UPS, and low voltage systems. The PE is responsible for overseeing the engineering of these systems for major capital projects and initiatives from conceptualization through programming, design, bidding, construction, commissioning, and close out.

The PE will be responsible for multiple high-complexity projects of diverse scope that require an understanding of state of the art construction techniques and a high level of expertise in electrical systems, as well as rigor in compliance, and the highest standard of care. Science projects include research laboratories, vivarium, pilot scale manufacturing, major scientific equipment, amenity space, outdoor plaza, site lighting, and infrastructure projects.

The PE shall collaborate with the project team to effectively identify innovative solutions and bring clarity to the project process using a sophisticated analytical approach and sound judgement. Core focus areas include defining and meeting project goals for electrical systems, reviewing budgets, schedules, scopes, and quality, as well as risk mitigation and responding to field conditions and construction logistics and challenges.

The PE will be responsible to lead design teams and Construction Managers in both the pre-construction due diligence, design and scoping process with a focus on quality management, project controls, and user engagement as well as leading their teams through the bidding and construction administration process with a focus on field coordination, commissioning, substantial completion and close out.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Project Management team in developing the budget and schedule for design and construction projects, including renovations and green field projects.
• Works closely with Project Management, Engineering, Space Planning, EHS, Operations, and User teams to fully and rigorously document the electrical system requirements in the Owner's Project Requirements document.
• Performs preliminary due diligence explorations of existing electrical systems during project initiation to identify any potential risks to the project and any opportunities for improving the building systems of existing buildings.
• Assists the Project Manager and Procurement in the development of scopes of work for design professionals, construction managers, general contractors and commissioning agent RFPs. Assist in the evaluation and bid leveling of proposals.
• Participates in regular project meetings.
• Works directly with hired MEP engineers, consultants, and contractors to answer questions, resolve issues and develop solutions.
• Provides supervision for all stages of the development and documentation of electrical requirements for lab and other equipment for the project. Collaborates with the Project Management team, internal engineers, end users, the Asset Management team, EHS, design professionals, lab equipment vendors, design professionals and contractors to ensure that all electrical system requirements for the equipment are met.
• Provides detailed reviews of and comments on due diligence reports, test fits, Basis of Design documents, room data sheets, construction documents and specifications prepared by the design professionals, checking for thoroughness, accuracy and compliance with the project requirements, design and documentation standards and minimize errors and omissions.
• Identifies long lead time equipment for potential Early Works purchasing by the contractor
• Works with the Project Managers, Design Professionals and Contractors to find solutions to mitigate costs and schedule delays due to errors and omissions in the design documents and unforeseeable field conditions
• Reviews shop drawings and submittals, RFI responses, and Change Orders
• Makes frequent site visits to ensure that electrical requirements are being implemented correctly during construction and creates field reports.
• Reviews Design Professional punch lists.
• Manages commissioning, auditing, & validating facilities systems for Capital Projects.
• Assists the Asset Management and Operations team in preparing equipment lists for import into the Integrated Workplace Management System
• Coaches and Mentors other members of engineering staff and supervises day to day operation of electrical systems.
• Interacts with municipalities and Con-Ed to obtain building permits and inspections.
• Supervises, coordinates, and schedules work with outside contractors and internal technicians.
• Audits, tests, commissions, and validates Facilities systems and also provide specialized engineering support services to RGC, PMPD, PCD, IT, & Vivarium groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
• Minimum of 5 years in an electrical engineering role
• In depth knowledge and extensive experience in electrical systems for complex life science laboratory and vivarium projects
• Skilled in the use of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, SharePoint and Bluebeam Revu
• IWMS system experience
